Hi! These videos are wonderful!! Thank you so much for putting these together. I take boards on Tuesday and was wondering if you were planning to post any videos of gram negative bacteria (especially the rods). Thanks!

Can you please explain how catalase positive bacteria- staph is resistant to H2O2?

the way i view it in my head is this - "peroxide hurts bacteria right? so if a bacteria that's catalase(+) i assume it has peroxide so if it comes in contact with "another or more" peroxide, the peroxide doesn't have any real effect on it = resistance.
But bacteria without peroxide (strep) coming in contact with peroxide is gonna get hurt badly = sensitive""
      i hope that helps

Upasana Mathur hi,. Catalase positive Staphylococci express catalase enzyme....and so in a media with h2o2/peroxide , they can easily degrade it and bubbles are produces...
Whereas, Staphylococci lacking catalase are called catalase-ve Staphylococci , and they are peroxide sensitive
      S.aureus , s.intermedius and s.hyicus are catalase +ve )...

Why do all your videos end before the subject you are talking about completes????? they just abruptly end

Staph has enough staff to cook up CATS (for catalase)
