I keep researching it over and over trying to get it. I'm sure I'm just missing something that brings all the pieces together but why does he grab his crotch at the notion of a ladder being realised?
You either get the one with just Colin and Ryan, who are so in sync that it's literal art to watch, or you get audience joining in that make it off the wall hilarity. Either way, Sound Effects is always gonna be one of my favs
Depends on what you enjoy and the context. If someone isn't saying a word or is intentionally making sound effects which have nothing to do with their actions, it's not fun to watch. Even if they're making the wrong sound effect which happen to line up with what R and C are doing, it's enjoyable, but the people not paying attention to what's going on in the scene is just frustrating.
This. Ryan and Colin are at their best when they have to improv through weird, bad, or no sound effects. Honestly, I don't understand it when people say the more unskilled audience members "ruin" things; Drew intentionally tries to pick people he thinks won't be super on-the-ball. Good sound effects are great - I don't think that any of the skits have been bad or boring - but it's usually also less fun that way.
I've seen that too. People are upset that the audience members are unable to follow the prompts of professional comedians and provide ON TIME and appropriate sound effects...What do they think the point of bringing up unsuspecting audience members is? It's equally as entertaining when someone shows up and puts in a good effort. Either way Ryan and Colin are constantly throwing curve balls at them to intentionally make it harder! It's all part of the game 😂
That is the essence of what makes this game so great. The less audio cues they get, the more improv they have to do to make it funny. :-) Interestingly enough, the same is true when the audience members make too many noises as well! 🙂
To this day, I love how that one lady seems to believe that literally EVERYTHING goes "woooooo". hahahah. Everything. Guns. Ropes. Cars. Alarms. Your tax accountant. All of it.
To everyone who complains about the "poor" quality of the audience members, that's the point. In this show, Drew purposefully picked people whom he thought wouldn't do a great job. This then forced Ryan and Colin to make comedy gold from the cards they were dealt, because US Whose Line is partly about absurdity, not just real-world accuracy. And judging by how the audience AND the cast are often left in hysterics just by said poor sound effects, it's very much working. If you're here to watch a game where everyone's competent, you're really watching the wrong show.
@JGame300 You are missing the point of this game. It is about how Colin and Ryan deal with the audience members - it is not about the sounds. P.S. You are still wrong - they are all funny. Lighten up.
@@DrCrow13 Literally nothing happened... I am aware what the goal is I seen plenty but this is a sound effect with 1 sound and nothing funny or exciting happened like they aren't trying
I think watching Colin & Ryan push the Batmobile is the hardest I've ever laughed at Whose Line. Drew & Wayne's enjoyment of everything makes it even better. I can't imagine how hard it is to get up there on stage, your first time ever doing improv, & try to keep up with everything on the spot. Props to all the participants
Anyone that thinks audience members "doing a bad job at sound effects" ruins the game just doesn't understand the point of this at all. Honestly, this is more of a test for Colin and Ryan. The fewer audio cues they get, the harder they have to work to make it funny. Interestingly enough, the same is also true when the audience members make TOO MUCH noise! :D
This is one of my favorite games that they do every time I watch these videos I cry laugh so hard I miss Drew Carrey hosting and the old style of this show.
Where's the one with the zoo noises? Those two ladies slayed their sounds and even did a little jumping back and forth routine, in sync. Must be a copyright issue? I still want to thank you for posting all of the videos that you can. This show was the best with Drew, in my opinion. :o)
At 1:00:30 mark , Ryan's expression was so friggin hilariously spot on with that girl's fart sound hahahaha I rewound that probably 50 times with tears of laughter in my eyes 😂😅😆😆😆😆😄😄😄 He is thee best!!
While it is absolutely hilarious, colin and ryans response to the people making random sound effects. I get so amd when those people do not listen!!!!!!
Just once I want Aisha Tyler to pick some random old chubby person in a Hawaiian shirt and it turns out they've worked 43 years as a professional Foley artist and then Ryan and Colin don't know what to do because it's good.
nerves are one, having little experience with making sounds is another, and trying to make noises while laughing doesn't help, either. I want to feel like I would be great at it, but I know i'd be just as bad lol
The problem isn't the bad sound effects, it's that the guys consistently refuse to do their part of making it work. Half the time, they expect sounds without any obvious prompting, and the other half they spend whining about effects they didn't prompt.
Well if the participants were paying attention, it wouldn't be hard to know when they have to make sounds. It's not that hard, even I can tell. That's also what makes it funny.
@entertoby6698 I call BS. There are a bunch of moments where the guys do literally nothing and expect the audience members to read their minds. Being obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious is not funny. These guys usually understood that, but they could forget surprisingly easily.
Seeing the cast losing it in the background is the best.
5/27/2024. That is the problem, not enough of the audience.
?
It's unfortunate a whole side of the audience couldn't generally see.
16:20 The ladies who literally make nothing but strange sounds the entire skit ;p I bet it was challenging but fun for Ryan and Colin

@ 😂😂 sometimes I'm like wow how amazing would it be to be the person doing it?
@ 😂😂😂 blame it on Drews inability to pick proper voice actors 😄
23:33 is probably the funniest Whose Line moment for me. this entire scene makes me stream tears from laughter
Ryan’s laughter at Colin’s macguffin to get off the roller coaster was what made it even funnier
Agreed.

46:50 is one of my favorite moments - Ryan riding a horse, getting no sound and then just dancing it off is so funny to me.
50:18 best moment before the scene starts ever! Ryan's face is priceless that someone comes to the show that doesn't know who he is
Seems like lots of people in these comments apparently don't get the fact that audience members being bad at making sfx is what makes these so funny
It depends. Sometimes there so bad it ain't even funny.
