  • The connection between migraines and gluten appears to be an easy one.
The connection: Inflammation triggered by high histamine.
Histamine is everywhere, and if in higher amounts, is associated with so many of your every day common issues.
    Rseearch paper

    DAO Enzyme supplement, Histamine Block
    Available at Seeking Health:
    www.seekinghea...
    Available at Amazon:
    amzn.to/3oiCEHL
Available at iHerb (great for internationals):
    www.iherb.com/...
    Suggested use:
Take 1 to 2 capsules with foods or drinks or any time you are accidentally, or purposely, ingest gluten and you feel a headache coming on. The sooner you do it, the better. You may need more than 1 capsule.
    Note:
If you take 1 capsule of Histamine Block and you feel the headache stay the same intensity and begin to ease off, you likely do not need another capsule.
If you take 1 capsule yet you continue feeling the headache progress and worsen, take an additional capsule right away.
You should notice improvement within just a few minutes.
Histamine Block is safe for breastfeeding women.
Low DAO levels are associated with pregnancy complications.

Listening to this while high on histamine (what I call my brain fog/flushing episodes), so I apologize if I don’t make sense at any point. Triggered by taking a warm epsom salt bath 🙄
I was dx with the trifecta EDS/POTS/MCAS about 6/7 years ago and I exhausted myself trying to find answers with no luck concerning the MCAS aspect, just endless guessing and pill trials EVEN in the natural realm. A few years ago I kinda gave up hope of controlling my MCAS/migraines and have often been miserable and hopeless- you wouldn’t want to have lunch with me 😆. It sometimes feels like medicine just hasn’t caught up to me. Now I’m checking back in and I’m grateful for your research and work in making these healing elixers ❤️. I’m now able to connect a lot more dots. Excited to try histamine block and also the NADH+CoQ10. Hoping I can swallow the capsules as when you’re super fatigued and nauseous it can be hard to get stuff down🤞🏻

Hi Moody ;) - watch this video too - ua-cam.com/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/v-deo.html The NADH is a lozenge - so easy. The Histamine Block is a small capsule - so should be easy. Worst case, open it and mix in bite of food. Consider an online consult with Elizma Lambert - www.elizmalambert.com I suspect you'd do well with Adrenal Cortex with breakfast in the morning, Optimal Electrolyte a couple times a day, PQQ Lozenge 2-3 times a day, Optimal DHA with dinner and Histamine Block Plus 2 times a day and ProBiota HistaminX after dinner. But - there is no lifestyle/envirornment or food changes here - just thoughts on supplements. That's where Elizma may help you along with reading Dirty Genes book -

    • @DrBenLynch
      @DrBenLynch  2 роки тому +1

yes - so work on the histamine intolerance and clearing the mold. Sauna, liposomal glutathione, PQQ, electrolytes are KEY. Watch this video on Histamine Intolerance - ua-cam.com/video/SIB_wzBSeHY/v-deo.html I'd consider Histamine Block Plus, PQQ Lozenge, Optimal DHA and Optimal Electrolyte to start. Then, after a couple weeks, add in Optimal Liposomal Glutathione Plus - just a few drops a few times a day and ramp up as you feel good. You should always feel great from these supplements. If you feel worse, you're taking too much or your body isn't ready for them yet.

Hi Dr Lynch. My mother has been suffering with urticaria for about 5 years. She has been prescribed montelukast and fexofenadine and is about to be tried on dapsone. If that isn’t effective she will be offered immunotherapy. Allergy testing has revealed that the only food she is sensitive to is peanut. She has also had trouble breathing and has finally been prescribed preventer and reliever inhalers. The preventer is already working. She also takes Famotidine to control acid heartburn and thyroxine for hypothyroidism. I wondered if you could advise specific parts of Dirty Genes to digest to try to get a better understanding of what she is experiencing?

    • @szymonbaranowski8184
      @szymonbaranowski8184 Рік тому

maybe because of hypoxia and lower oxygen supply to tissues
what is somehow related with Nitric Oxide
      exercise also activates mTor
while methylene blue which inhibits NO production downregulates mTor
      which activates inflammation
and thanks to this our muscles grow
giving signal to fix the inflamed area
so maybe something related with these things
do you drink coffee if it worsen headaches like for me?
      btw im researching hairloss mechanisms
it's also from inflammation because of tight scalp depriving head skin from blood and nutrition to cells and also from chemicals killing all good natural bacteria on head
but what's interesting it was discovered
things that were supposed to cause inflammation that all antihairloss medicines wanted to block in reality accompany inflammation to fix it
and they worsened hairloss trying to fight good inflammation that repaired stuff

After doing lots of research, and being in the carnivore diet i realised that when i are Sauerkraut my autoimmune flared. I get pain in my bladder which occurs like clock work the morning after i eat something that irritates me. I didn’t make the connection to histamine until i tried to increase food from only eating meat and fat. I now realise that my food intolerance is down to histamine which also makes my thyroid TSH go up - completely resolves when i only eat carnivore. I’m text book, with the histamine flare ups… I’ve now increased, copper, zinc garlic , not b12 as that causes a flare and my b12 is pretty high from the meat i eat. Can you recommend a probiotic to help me rebalance my gut? I’ve started eating beef kidney, which is disgusting but i know it’s high in DAO but i want to restore my gut. I also get really bad head aches if i eat dairy so avoid that too. I’m going to try fasting as i read that can help too, so trying all angles- manage symptoms while restoring my gut. I do find that a run makes me feel better if i’m particularly feeling rubbish.. Anyway any insight into how to get the gut creating this enzyme would be great 😊

anything reactive to me fingers were
      becoming purple..
so I used it as an perfect indicator LOL

I only forgot to test natto

I like to eat garlic and onions, fried onions give antihistamine quercetin
i skip all flavanoid colorful stuff
instead I use GlyNAC to boost natural
      antiinflammatory glutathione in own body
of all supplements tested only one that made any noticeable effect was benfotiamine
and only the first time 😂
once I spiked histamine with cacao and tomato overdose
of stuff related with histamine I still use apple vinegar
I must still try cutting coffee to check if...
but that's a hard one for sure
I also inclined bad and use mouthtape
      cause of suspicion of apnea
cold shower with coffee cases me to shiver later so I suppose something is not right
      here
next stuff I'll try will be methylene blue 😂

had pylori too reflux probably leaky gut too
but everyone has own brain and will, free decision brings no harm is acceptance of

Read Dirty Genes and implement the Soak and Scrub Method to clean up your genes. You'll find a lot of useful practical things you can begin doing in those pages. It will be short duration at first and then slowly she'll get better and more tolerant of it. I could only sauna for literally a couple minutes at first and I had to get out. Have you tried magnesium glycinate? 600mg is what has worked wonders for me. Good for kids too. Magnesium can help with prostaglandins (among other things).
Migraine sufferers tend to be lower in magnesium.
B2 and/or CoQ10 are other supplements to look in to.

RE: Premenstrual headaches - I'd consider taking 5-HTP BEFORE you experience any headache. You know the patterns by now and when the headache will come on. If you feel sadness coming on due to the drop of hormones (and drop of serotonin), then taking some serotonin supportive nutrients may help. Taking 1 capsule of 5-HTP for a couple of days prior to your cycle may be the ticket you need. Let me know how it works :) - www.seekinghealth.com/products/5-htp-100-capsules You may also need vitamin B6 and magnesium as these nutrients are needed to support serotonin as well - www.seekinghealth.com/products/magnesium-plus-100-capsules So I'd consider 1 capsule of each of these for a few days before your cycle and a few days into it. Then stop.

Son: I'd consider Optimal Electrolyte for him - most kids don't hydrate - and also keep an eye on his food intake. If he's low blood sugar due to not eating, or he's not metabolically flexible, or he's just eating carbs vs balanced meals of carb/protein/fats, he is susceptible to migraines. He may also be low serotonin (like his mom perhaps?) and 5-HTP may be helpful for him as well BEFORE a migraine starts. 5-HTP may especially be helpful in those with low moods and sometimes anxiousness. I'd consider 1/2 capsule of 5-HTP for him and 1/2 capsule of Magnesium Plus. If he's not getting enough food in him or he's not metabolically flexible, I'd consider 1 capsule of Acetyl-L-Carnitine in the morning before breakfast. www.seekinghealth.com/products/acetyl-l-carnitine-90-capsules

I was taking SH DAO and another brand of a histamine block (as per my functional med dr) and avoiding high histamine foods and i was still having regular migraines. I was following a keto diet which made my GF and I also removed dairy and chocolate. I was also avoiding leftovers and eating only fresh foods. My StrateGene test shows I have histamine issues. My husband gets migraines after coffee (even decaf) or chocolate, this started in his late 40s after gallbladder removal. Lives clean lifestyle, no dairy, no gluten, no prescription meds. We did stratagene as well. Do you think coffee & chocolate as trigger would be DAO & histamine?? Or another pathway?

Only thing I'm not tracking is the association between histamine and psychiatric symptoms mentioned like agitation, excitability, etc. Histamine does not cross the blood brain barrier so what is the mechanism by which increased histamine in the gut would have impact on mental health symptoms? I certainly agree with the symptom association described, just trying to figure out mechanism in the absence of BBB penetrability of histamine

I just found out about histamine migraine connection tonight. This is after years of struggling to figure out my triggers. The most difficult thing has been that it isn’t just a single cause effect relationship. After extensive elimination, re-elimination diets, food diaries I came to the conclusion it was eating too much of one thing in a day, and some stuff will not trigger a migraine until the next day. I also began having random reactions every now and then to random foods, but never linked them together, and they don’t always cause the same reaction. Everything in this video is discussing almost everything it has painfully taken almost 20 years to figure out.

Hi Kristin - that's a great point. This is why calming supplements can really help people with ADHD. Consider Histamine Block Plus when you find your histamine levels too high. Histamine Block Plus is designed to support healthy histamine levels. Histamine triggers a lot of various neurotransmitters to release and activate in the brain. So optimizing histamine thus optimizes other neurotransmitters. www.seekinghealth.com/products/histamine-block-plus-60-capsules

sorry to hear this. ouch. I'd work with a great integrative doctor to help increase blood flow. Sometimes just systemic enzymes can help but it may also be structural especially if from childhood. Perhaps a bone is compressing or muscle compressing too tightly over the artery - or if clogged, enzymes may help along with evaluating your total cholesterol panel.
