Thanks, good lesson. BTW, you should look into hiding the cables in the wall. It would make a big difference in the appearance of your wall-mounted TV. It's pretty easy and not expensive.
Great video. The only thing that I think should be mentioned is that this remote hub only uses 2.4ghz wifi which means if you are on 5.8ghz you phone wont be able to get the hub to synch.
The part I find hard to setup is the activities. It wants to know the source. I realize it wants to know HDMI 1 or 2 etc. But I don't know how to get it there. It's way too vague in this area. I have the U1 already and it was much easier to set up the activities without the source issue. Do you have or know of a more comprehensive set of instructions for setting up the activities?
Awesome job with this video. Yes there is a very short technical issue with the video but still super helpful for anyone new to this remote. Thanks man. Subscribed!
Do you have to keep unplugging the square hub thing to use the charging block for charging the remote? The charging block seems to have to be shared between plugging the hub in for power and using the block to charge the remote. Is that correct?
No, I didn't anyway. I'm guessing they're NOT backlit though. I had the U2 (was junk) and it did not have backlit. Looking at the X1, it appears to be the same. Also, the buttons are really loud when clicked. Not soft at all.@@jgatto1234
Right at the beginning of the video where you mention connecting to Wifi, you don't mention if it has to be 2.4Gh only like on the Harmony hub remotes? Can I use 5Gh?
I just bought this remote - and the app and manual is a bit cryptic to me. In plain language, say if I want to turn on my cable box, AV receiver, switch the input on the receiver to hdmi 3, turn on my Samsung CU8000 tv, and switch to HDMI 1 for input, how would I do that? I hate to ask for "support", but I do need a little help.
Thanks for the very helpful video. I have a DENON Home Theater receiver. I understand how to connect it to the hub, but I need to tell it to also choose what mode on the DENON to use. For example, to obtain the audio for a DVD player, I need to turn on the DENON, and then press the DVD button to direct the correct mode to work. How do I program this in the x-1. Many thanks!
Did you try this remote? My Harmony Elite is taking a dump on me and I have everything running through the receiver. It’s way easier for everyone in the household to press an activity and everything does what it’s supposed to do.
@@jgatto1234 No. I own 2 Harmony Elite remotes and would like to buy a 3rd, but they’ve gotten expensive since they’re not made any more. The SofaBaton remotes are missing too many features the Harmony Elite has for me to consider it. I tried a previous SofaBaton remote model and didn’t like it.
remote is garbage compared to harmony. I couldn't even get it to connect to my Sony TV. After half hour of trying different things, I gave up. It shouldn't be this hard...
What a piece of cumbersome junk! Man I hope you were sponsored for this review and didn't waste your own money on it. So you need the remote, the box, and your phone just to change a channel on the TV! What is the the 1970's? I will stick with my 2 remotes.
Please reupload, sound cuts off at 4:50-5:50 mark
You need to edit....video is now faulty without sound at 4:51
So many comments/questions and no questions answered. Audio does indeed cutoff at about the 4:50 mark but come back around 5:50 +/-

@@andyzamboknee I’m in a jam because my Harmony is acting up and I need something like it. Any suggestions?

Can I program the home button to launch a specific app on my Fire TV stick?
Would this allow you to assign a particular key to a particular streaming service: Disney, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, UA-cam ?
Is this coming to Belgium?

Will this work with the TiVo Edge?
Yes
Can you do a Video on how to setup an "activity"? For example switching between Android box/Firestik and Apple 4k box? How to change inputs etc etc
Sadly the video has a glitch in it at 4:52 😢

Dos the remote have humber to change change on display like from 231 to 31
NO
Thanks for the Review - you may want to change your Amazon link, as the page says the device is "Currently unavailable."
Has no number keys...
Exactly! How the hell do you go to other specific channels if you have directv or cable?
Logitech needs to bring back the Harmony Elite, which is a much better remote than anything Sofa Baton makes.

Looking for a new remote, and I like this one EXCEPT for the font. It is bad. Very bad. That alone turns me off from the remote. Back on the hunt.
can i control my iptv android box with it
Please clean up all those wires

No number keys 😣
VERY CONVENIENT THAT IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME BUT ONCE YOU DO? WHAT IF I CANT BECAUSE THERE IS NO DATABASE!
No sound???
Yesterday after a few months the hub is dead, so the remote is useless😢😢
hi, you can contact sofabaton for replacement
@@jzgking7836 i do….replacement is on the way😅👍🏼👍🏼
Ugh. Can't find an LG TV.
Use the remote to find the remote... really?
junk hard to pair no factory support
Texas house.
why does universal need hubs? can't the remote hold everything?
this is so stupid 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
anyone having avr input issues on their activities? ua-cam.com/video/flud20EYVeU/v-deo.html
It’s a lie
IT IS A BULLSHIT REMOTE AS THERE IS NO DATABASE ON THE SOFABATON APP. THIS IS A TOTAL RIPOFF
Great device, dreadful price.
It's much cheaper than a harmony elite, which I now have to replace. Hope this remote is as good.
3 hours to charge and 2 months usage? no thanks,

What the hell are you talking about? You need to set it up once and after that just use the remote
