Do you think Shams took Rumi to his heart like Rumi did?
The connection between them is certainly not comparable to any other connection between two people, but do you think that Shams was so advanced as a Sufi scholar that he did not suffer as much as Rumi did as a result?
Shams was at such an intellectual level on all levels that I wondered if he felt the same way?
I believe that Shams left Rumi because the best people/artists are those who truly know what suffering means. Sounds a bit cheezy now

Walaqaad karamna banj adam- thanks for the wonderful lecture- this is great and are there any books or audios that one can read the true message of Rumi as i find Colemans translation shallow and meaningless.
