EC government is known for returning unused budgets to Treasury. In 2022, Dept of Education returned R200m to Treasury but ANC will still get the highest number of votes in the Eastern Cape. We are told people in EC fear losing social grants hence they remain loyal to ANC.
1. Entrepreneurship needs to be a mandatory course for all tertiary programs. 2. Admisssions at tertiary institutions must focus on programs that are future orientated. 3. We must learn agency, through our vote and through our everyday choices.
I fully agree though we are told people in EC will continue to vote ANC as they don’t want to loose social grants. EC always gives ANC the most votes which is a huge concern given imeko abantu baphila kuyo. The future of our country is in our hands.
I partially blame the NSFAS scheme for this. Students are being funded for jobs that are not in demand in the country. The education system should be refurbished to help students learn entrepreneurship skills not teach technocratic studies.
I think it is high time we give another political party an opportunity to lead us as a nation. Maybe… just maybe we’ll see a big difference with job opportunities
Yho intliziyo yam 💔. This unemployement issue cannot be solved by government and private sector alone. At some point we all have to come together and do our bit. Those who are employed have money but they don't have time and those who are unemployed have time but they don't have money. For sure we can team up and come up with something that will benefit us both. Because another reality is that salaries have shrinked also and became just a subsistence allowance. So those who are employed are also struggling and want out of the system, while those who are unemployed want it. Entrepreneurship is the way to go, so those who are employed must pool funds and provide funding to start business for those who are unemployed as investment. The truth is employed or unemployed sisokola sonke as black youth.
You are so right. I think our educational system should also train the children entrepreneurial skills instead of concentrating on technocratic studies such as sciences or economics, accounting or teaching. They should concentrate on agriculture, mechanics and application studies. 🙏
Same here in Namibia. The populations are growing, there is a need for these graduates but there is no infrastructure. Example the geologist, he could be occupying the illegal miners position. Our African leaders have failed!!!!!
In some countries age discrimination is a crime, looks like in South Africa age discrimination is not a criminal offence, it’s done openly. Governing a country has proved to be a bigger challenge than expected to these revolutionary parties. I
While South African graduates may be well-prepared for traditional jobs, they often lack financial literacy skills and the ability to create their own employment opportunities. Personally, I've found success in creating jobs for myself by applying problem-solving skills to make money. As a mathematics and physical science teacher, investor, seller of sneakers and other items on WhatsApp, UA-camr with a significant following, and photographer and filmmaker on weekends, I believe that relying solely on a university degree and following a traditional career path is not always the best strategy. Instead, it's important to develop a mindset of seeking out and solving problems to create opportunities for financial success
The only job that is going to work for us is agriculture, and if we choose then is a big problem. Nigeria today's unemployment is very high graduates don't get jobs and some are relocating to Europe to settle for security jobs (odd jobs) government sold us a lie that after graduation people will get jobs. The solution Is to find anything that will put bread on a table and atop tell itself that ur waiting for ur kind of job, life is already difficult, I've learn 1 or 2 on this documentary that am watching all over the world that jobs are not there, we should create our own jobs and as we are working for someone we should not demand higher wages, those who are fortuned to get a job they should not follow this union. FOOD IS LIFE START PLANTING TO SURVIVE
And yet Unions are encouraging people to strike. Granted, wages are low, and the workers are right to strike to bring attention to the pitiful rates of pay. However, one needs to ask these workers whether they would prefer work to being unemployed. 7.5% is better than 0%. Instead of striking use go slow, work to rule, although looking at the rates public services work at - indicates that they have been working to rule since inception. People with degrees who are not working need to take any job, because when u working you are considered employable, it’s much easier to get work in your field while you out there. I’m speaking here from experience, I’m now a gogo told to work but I have walked that walk. My heart bleeds for these amazing people. Walls go up as soon as you say currently unemployed. Look overseas many countries are starving for graduates. You can go on a contract. Then come back with gold experience. 🙏🏻
These people's diplomas and degrees are crucial for the development of the economy and Industrialization. They are being underutilized so South Africans should be worried
Very painful to watch, a graduate studies with the hope of one day getting a decent job. Government must invest in labour intensive sectors like agriculture to alleviate unemployment.
This is so sad hey. And what Im about to say may sound "bad" but as someone who grew up poor you most likely dont have a choice to study for what you "love". Please I advise national govt to educate the kids and tell them straight up "If you study this or that degree, you are most likely not going to get employed" and tell them all the careers that have a higher chance of employment. One thing I have realised is that one career path(lets say data analytics) you wont be trapped there forever you will always find something to within that dreadful career. I know that you are supposed to follow your dreams and what you love, but hey we need money do you cant eat your dreams 5+ years not seeing any different. ALSO SSTOP DEPENDING ON THIS GOVT! As A SOUTH AFRICAN you are on your own.
It is sad to see a graduate crying like that... I know the feeling, you end-up feeling hopeless. All these graduates put the effort into what they do but it turns out to be less useful... Youth employment projects are sometimes biased!
And you criminalize marijuana the only thing that has the potential to make the pondoland part of the EC a booming economy. I'm from Ntlaza near Libode we went to school with weed money.
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 may our ancestors pave ways for us kuziima
Ancestors gave you a way of changing things .......through voting . So don't bother them now
Ancestors are dead, how can a dead person wake up and pave a way. ?
Eastern Cape is still going to vote for ANC,problem we have in SA
No, the problem we have is that there's no tough opposition party against the ANC
Ayibuhlungu intliziyo yam....Yesu thethelela...ngeGama Lakho Msindisi. Amen!!
Forget about Yesu
VOTE for BLF
Stop voting for ANC

Whats worse is that its the people in the EC that vote for ANC
1. Entrepreneurship needs to be a mandatory course for all tertiary programs.
2. Admisssions at tertiary institutions must focus on programs that are future orientated.
3. We must learn agency, through our vote and through our everyday choices.
Entrepreneurship when no one has money to support?
What's the point of selling something if no one has money to buy?
Entrepreneurship in a country where nobody is working. it's not make sure
Enterpreneurship is only effective in a growing economy.
Mna ndithi amandla asebantwini, makususwe la ANC kuba izibonakalisile ukuba ayibakhathalelanga abantu abatsha……
I fully agree though we are told people in EC will continue to vote ANC as they don’t want to loose social grants. EC always gives ANC the most votes which is a huge concern given imeko abantu baphila kuyo. The future of our country is in our hands.

I get you, but that idea would only work if the buyers are not from EC or South Africa.
You are so right. I think our educational system should also train the children entrepreneurial skills instead of concentrating on technocratic studies such as sciences or economics, accounting or teaching. They should concentrate on agriculture, mechanics and application studies. 🙏
@@christianmaterial2417 buyers? If the children are fully empowered they will employ themselves and sell worldwide. Instead of waiting for grants.
It's time to vote ANC out

SA Had industry in Eastern Cape but our wonderful ANC destroyed everything.
