    I have moved 430 items in 187 days (July 5th, leap year) by consistently repricing and evaluating 10 old listings per day. My eBay goal is not financial, but downsizing the items in my home. The fact that I pile up enough cash to pay property taxes is a bonus. As always, thanks to you and the group for motivation!

    Great video Tech! I share this as inspiration for anyone who is struggling right now. Many years ago, I started selling on Ebay out of desperation. I was a single mom at the time. I desperately needed a way to change the trajectory of my life. I started selling things I no longer wanted on Ebay. I then went to thrift stores to buy things to sell on Ebay. I enrolled in school to be an RN and used Ebay to pay my way through school. I still do not know how I was able to do it all, but I did. I graduated and worked as a nurse for many years. I am now building my Ebay business back from a hobby store to something that will again, change my family's life. What you teach in your group has been the gamechanger for me. I would encourage anyone who wants a successful reselling business to join your group. There is no other group like it.

    What's working for me is more retail arbitrage (clothing seller). Paying up 10-15$ per item, less items but more profit per item. ($25 profit per item average). Still thrifting/bins to supplement, ONLY picking up $20 profit items at Thrift/Bins. Listing LESS items per day but making MORE per item. Gained about an hour per day back of my time. That's working for me now. Always ready to adapt who knows how long this will work for me. So far so good. Thx for the vid, great stuff.

    One of my favorite videos from you Tech! Doing good over here! Making more sales this year than I did last year ! Granted it’s been 1 full year since I started reselling! But lessons have been learned, knowledge has been attained, no money losses, but better gains. Can’t put a price on knowledge, but can put a price on time. Time is money. I’ve chosen the path of least resistance. Not overwhelming myself, but keeping my path clear, focused and most importantly consistent. I only source as much as I can list consistently daily. Thank you Tech for checking in on us and giving that tough talk a lot of us need to hear!

A little nervous about our Ebay store on time away mode, however the wife and I have been putting in the extra work the last couple week to have scheduled out listings for everyday equal to the same amount we would have listed if we were at home working, so hopefully that lessens the blow a little bit. Its going great. Still a long way from where I want to be but grinding every day. I went through some of my older items and Im definitely a different reseller than I was 3 months ago. The items im picking up are selling faster and for a better profit.
    I'm consistently listing and growing my store but it can be a struggle to find good items at thrifts for the right price. Ive expanded and went to 20 thrifts in my area and that helped quite a bit. I know I need to build more relationships. I know I need to go to more fleas/retailers/bins. To grow my business right now, i need better and more consistent supply.
    Thank you so much for the group, the advice, and your time. I feel like thanks to the group Ive learned 3 years of reselling in 3 months. Positive and supportive people is a breath of fresh air and hard to find these days. I wont let the advice or the knowledge go to waste. I'll make it and do whatever it takes. 12:04 tech $273 x 365 is only $99,645 if a seller wants to Net $100k they have to Gross at least $200k assuming there running on 50% margins meaning 50% goes to Business expense (ALL the business expenses Supplies, Storage unit/warehouse rent, Cell Phone bill, Internet, eclectic and on and on)

    • @technsports
      @technsports  Місяць тому +2

      The example was $273 net. Not $273 gross. It was eBay starting you out on January 1st with already giving you $100,000 profit and you losing $273 of it every day you don't hit your goals or do the work you need to do.

    Thanks as always Tech! My store hovers around 300-400 items but my sell through is very high (850 in 90 days). My 90 day sales are over 40,000 selling mostly video games/consoles/nostalgia. I contribute this to listing 10 a day every single day and shipping same or next day on everything. I send offers constantly, and I offer free 30 day returns. The equation for success on eBay is simple, but most people will make excuses as to why they can’t do it. Lastly, I think some people are too focused on hitting a certain listing goal without focusing on sell through rate. List less if you need to in order to focus on finding items that turn over quickly. I swear I’m going to join the group finally. I just quit my W2 job due to burnout, and would love a support network to help keep grow even further. Keep up the great content brotha!

    We sell mostly antiques and some electronics. So with one or two sales a month that is equal to 30 items sold by someone selling individual items at $20.00 each. So our items take longer to sell and we paid up for these items. Once all are sold, then we'll switch to less delicate faster moving items. We are VERY frugal so good with our meager pension.

Sometimes my brain needs to see things differently for it to really sink in. I've been much more consistent this year but have still slipped several days. Enjoying this time with my family over the summer break and have found a perfect balance between family and business. Hungry for more so it is time to go harder for these final 6 months. Working ahead daily. I have most of tomorrows listings and drafts already done. Time to just push hard for the rest of the year. Great video. Thank you.

    I needed to hear this! (although I think I have said that after every one of your videos). This one especially struck some chords. Loved your analogy of eBay taking $273 daily if you don’t do your job. It's funny how it really is the same thing in the end, but one really sinks in more and fires you up. I also liked what you said about really looking at the inventory you are marking down and thinking about if you are still picking up those brands. My numbers are slowly and steadily improving, which I'm ecstatic about. Nowhere near many in the group, but my 90 day is the highest I've ever had it be and it's shown me things are possible (working on that business I want to have). I've been focusing on moving out old bad buys and really thinking about what I'm picking up and leaving more behind. Sourcing can be a struggle and I may or may not ever find those "grails", but I am learning to work with what what is out there for me. I do have trouble staying consistent, but I am definitely working harder on that because I see what happens when I do and when I don't. I really have learned so much from you and the group, and will continue applying the knowledge and work. Thank you for all you do!

    Being consistent in my listings and realistic with the fact I have over-sourced in the past (i.e. death pile). Trying to stay positive through what is turning out to be a sudden summer slow down. It didn't begin until mid-June for me. Been trying to work through the death pile and have found many good buys that I simply hadn't processed (cleaned, tested etc.) Hoping that keeping my costs down now will result in higher profit margins by the end of the year. My year over year is still up 60% (net) so I know I'm still growing. I find checking that metric helps me put sales in perspective.

    I'm taking July to list my death pile. I worked hard since May 1st to get 400 items listed. My plan is to keep 400 for the month and assess my numbers based on 400 listings. Then set an inventory goal. This first week started a little slow but has picked up. I predominately sell plus size clothes but took some time in the last week to pick size small in my thrift and look up everything that looked interesting. Eye opening. I think researching what's available is better than researching other people's BOLO's. I found jeans I've never heard anyone talk about that go for 80 used. Just some random thoughts, lol. Hey Tech, I was doing great a little over a year ago. My service metrics went to very high and that killed my business. It was all for bs Returns that was obvious that they were listed right. The complaints they had were right in the titles, descriptions and photos. Some how I got a bunch of these all at once. It was all stuff I was selling cheap just to get rid of. Well my metrics after almost a year has foundly went back to average. Two weeks ago out of frustration I deleted every item which was roughly around 1500 items. I’m starting over and going to use everything I’ve learned from your videos the past few years. I can really use the income back. My 90 days was just over $10,000 then now it’s at $1400.
