- Mads Mikkelsen, who stars this year in "Another Round", sat down with New York-based Writer/Director Fran Zayas, the recipient of the BAFTA New York BBC America Diversity Scholarship, for a conversation over Zoom as part of our 🫖Tea with BAFTA☕️ series.
This series pairs longlisted performers for the #EEBAFTAs with participants of our international talent development programs, for a brief chat over a cup of tea.
Mads and Fran discussed his role in "Another Round", working with Thomas Vinterberg, and the perils of listening to 'mentors'.

the first answer. Wow, very rarely do these "do you have any advise" answers actually seem helpful. The question itself has been asked so many times that I often roll my eyes when it's brought up but Mads offered something genuinely special and insightful. Trust your own vision.
I’m glad they didn’t go with the alternate ending for The Hunt. I would cry a bucket to watch Lucas die 😭 He had enough!
But then again, all Mads’ characters make me weep like a child. The power of Mads Mikkelsen~~
What a great guy
What a nice actor, human, and great advice ....”to live and enjoy the moment we have, that way we won’t be disappointed... “🙏I’m proud of my fellow Puerto Rican, Fran, best of luck! 🇵🇷
Thank You for the wonferful talk!
Wonderful. Mads is always in special.
I actually think the ending of The Hunt in which Lucas survives is more haunting. Death is final but the idea of living in a community where people could appear to be your friends but have the capacity and desire to attempt to murder you is chilling. How would he ever know who secretly still doubted his innocence?
I am SO glad they didn't use that ending of The Hunt.
It's like some Gods have sculpted him over many months... unbelievably handsome
Is it weird I like seeing whatever art actors have when they do these type of interviews?
Pretty sure it's a hotel room lol.
@@nigelmacquillan7211 it is he said in another interview that he is in England shooting a movie
@@nigelmacquillan7211 big oof on my part 😅
The film was so sad & so happy.
2:0 wasnt it Laurence Fisburn?
He is smoking 😆
its kind of lil bit upsetting the interviewer is not quite good for doing his job with such an amazing friendly actor
