The reason some decoys looked different is because every decoy is a little different than the original so when you make a copy of a copy it comes out even more different

Its not that EVERY decoy is different, its that whenever a Decoy is made lazily the decoys it makes are like it and eventually it makes mistakes too. Thats whats compounding, not what the OP said.

The space family was the real family, as Decoy Rick explained in the beginning: Decoy's are made for TERRESTRIAL adventures. The last family killed were the first decoys made, that's why their death notified the OG rick. The episode gives breadcrumbs to figure it out.

That plus he’s also slowly becoming more of a background character. He’s needed saving a lot & it seems like Morty had a lot more focus on him last episode.
Ngl I was kinda hoping Jerry would tear into Rick calling him a predator like Rick did to him back at the Whirly Dirly Conspiracy.
If you guys noticed, none of the Ricks had a portal gun on them, nor knew enough to use one to get out of the situation.

The decoys specifically go on Terrestrial (earth) adventures. So the one in space isn’t a decoy. Also that’s why none of the decoys thought to go to space. Even the squids stay in low orbit.

Rick said the decoys were confined to terrestrial adventures, probably to keep any asimov cascades from expanding.

Even the ones in space were only orbiting earth looking for prey. The likely reason the copy rule broke is because Rick made the copies from his mind which was currently thinking of the copy plan.

Technically it was Summer's fault for bringing it up and the other Rick's even rip at her for putting that thought in their heads that they are the disposable family. Decoy Rick wasn't worried till Summer till Summer said that he wouldn't know if they were exact decoys.

Obviously morality comes into play but people usually only blame the least moral of ones responsible. Like if a guy almost killed a friend because he slept with his girlfriend and people say he shouldn't have gone that far for that. But he only did so because he would get it worse had he attacked the girl and his friend and gf betrayed his trust full well knowing what consequences they could receive when they were found out. (This is generalized for a lot of other situations but this was the shortest one I had) Rick has major blame but it's not one sided.

Idk what Jerry is talking about. Rick didn’t take a L this episode. He and his family are safe, that was the whole point of creating decoys. He accomplished his goal, I don’t see the problem
The decoys are confined to terrestrial adventures, which makes their threat level to the original family almost zero, as they are not confined to terrestrial activities, if this Asimov cascade happened while the original family was on earth, he would just instantly teleport the family away and they would be out of danger, also the original decoys where the last to die, so that means that the decoys are likely slightly weaker than their creators. this makes it so that original rick would always win. for all we know rick could oneshot all the clones as we never saw him fight any clones due to their absence off world.

You know what bothers me…all decoys have metal inside, the rick that got scinned alive was the only one there that didnt have metal and indeed in the whole episode. The rick that died in the sanctuary and was skinned by ugly rick is the original rick c137.

This episode truly bothered me. The most out of any Rick and Morty episode .
All the different versions of that family. Especially the poorly made ones. They were all still the same family and their different fates were actually hard to watch. I was repeatedly crestfallen. Took me a minute to realize we were never gonna catch up with the original family and they would keep dying.
And by the end still never know.
Imagine this in live action. Just really sad

Remember we haven't been with the original family since season 1. Rick and morty messed up their dimension. Everybody turned to mutants.
So rick and morty found a dimension where their otherselves died and they took their place.
It ended with morty being traumatized and depressed over all of it.
It was an uncomfortable episode at the end.

This was a good episode and all characters were consistent to who they've always been.
