- I ship a lot bonnie and enzo but before them I was madly in love with bonnie and kai.
I would have liked to see the two of them together.
kai was changing with bonnie around and i was terrible when she cheated on him..he didn't trust her anymore and then damon killed him.
they met again in s8 but it was too late to create the story that all of us fans of this couple wanted.
surely it will remain only a dream but seeing the expression of kai in 2x12 has shown how much the memory of bonnie still shakes him.

Stefan had like a huuuuge list of names in his closet or so, I dont think The Gemini Coven was that big. But doesnt matter who killed more amount. Damon and Stefan did it because of a vampirism and Kai because his family treat him like something not worthy a thing instead helping him embrace the fact he was different. But still Damon and Stefan they got better, Stefan because wanted, Damon for Elena. I still cant understand why Kai didnt got his second chance, he would be better for Bonnie. He deserved better.

I don’t get why people shame us for shipping this and say things like: “how can U ship this, didnt he stab her...etc”. Delena, Klaroline and SOO many other tvd ships are also incredibly toxic...it’s kinda the show’s brand...and I’d even argue that bonkai had more sexual tension than all of those ships. And on top of this, the actors who played Bonnie and kai also shipped bonkai so I don’t feel bad about it :)
I admit that I also believed in Bonkai, some people may not see it at all, meanwhile, others do. Then again, I see that possibly not every relationship, romance, love, or connection that has ever existed in TVD was surely always healthy or "perfect," so I agree exactly.
I especially love that moment in TVD between Bonnie and Kai at 1:18 in the beginning of season 6. There was definitely something there between the two of them, the way they were looking at each other omg

Honestly I feel like Kai would've changed if Bonnie wouldn't have left him in the prison world. I feel like it was hypocritical of her to forgive EVERYONE but him. I honestly feel like all he needed was someone who cared. Even if it was just a friend.

Damon used and abuse (physically and mentally) Caroline, and compelled multiple girls to sleep with him and to let him feed off of him and killed a pregnant woman, Stefan was a full blown ripper, and pretty much every other vamp on the show had done the same things. But she forgave them and was still best friends with them. I'm not saying what Kai did was wrong, I'm just saying I think if she would have given him a chance, he probably would've never went after Jo or the twins. He had merged with Lucas and couldn't even kill Liv because he was starting to have emotions again.
(also, not saying what he did was right, but his family treated him horribly since he was born. he never had a chance to be someone better. They created the monster he became. He wasn't born evil. They made him that way.)

I’m just saying, there was NO way that he didn’t have feelings for her at this point. If he was back to his sociopathic self like he claimed when he came back in season 6 and 8, he wouldn’t have even reminisced about Bonnie with that sad, fond look on his face when Josie reminded him of her. He should’ve been angry with her for trapping him yet again and want revenge, or not even cared that Josie brought her up. But here he is still remembering her fondly when he literally NEVER shows that kind of emotion on the show besides when he’s talking to his sister Jo. Also notice his face when he says “who’s we?” At the end. His looks sort of hopeful, and his joking air is suddenly completely serious. Don’t tell me he wasn’t thinking about Bonnie in that scene because the ONLY way Josie could’ve gotten into the prison world would be if Bonnie were there. I know Kat Graham will never come to legacies, but I really wish she did just so they could finally conclude their relationship that’s been building for so long.

Dude I can't stress this enough, Kai had to be yet another "Oh, did we accidentally write a super interesting plot developing with Bonnie again that the fans really wanna see play out? Nope, gotta cut that up can't let it happen" moment. Idk if the writer's actually used the "No no, Bonkai would be too toxic" excuse but I swear if they did it's utter b.s. He was introduced S6 and the show ran long enough after for him to have been developed properly with an arc that, at the very least, would make a Bonkai romance make sense even if Kai wasn't completely a good guy overall. They legit wrote Bonnie and Damon, a guy she HATED in the beginning, reaching this point of a close bond and being best friends. Did the same for Bonnie and Enzo becoming a couple (and they handled it by having freakin expo and a time jump where we just suddenly see them romantic! Love Benzo, its just that the writers can't use development as an excuse either). Bonnie and Kai and Kat and Chris showed enough chemistry. I'm not really upset that they didn't make it happen because I wanted to see it (I mean I did lol) but I'm way more upset that it feels like the excuse was probably some b.s that if you look at any other ship on the show it's clear the writers don't hold an issue with that kind of dynamic. In other words, more of the writers paying Kat/Bonnie dust smh.

Well.. the twins were born in 2014, the teddy bear thing happened in late 2012/mid 2013. Cuz they came back almost right before Jo and Rics wedding in June, hence why Kai was able to stab Jo.. 16/17 is about right.

He's been there for many years, completely isolated in darkness forever without any hope to return back ever again. Obviously that would break him knowing that he did do somehing wrong and regret his decisions, but still it's part of his character to kill his sister because of what they did to him.

Kai was not born bad. He was turned evil. First his family put him away loved only Jo and ill treated him so much that he wasn't even allowed to touch anyone.
Second after the merge with Luke he tried to be good feel guilty for his actions and sympathetic but no Bonnie put him back in a prison world and he turned evil again.

@@nekababy8546 In Legacies, there's this hell dimension,a black pit called Malivore,once someone is tossed into that pit,their existence is wiped out from everyone's memories.So when Josie and Lizzie(Jo and Alaric's daughters) and Alaric end up in the prison world where Kai was in,Josie told Kai about Malivore in random conversation,but Kai actually kept that in mind and found Malivore in the prison world(since prison worlds are the exact copy of real world) and jumped into it as an escape from the prison world.So basically his existence got erased.Idk if i was clear enough.

Exactly!!! I’m getting so much hate on my comment for trying to tell people this. Everyone acts like all the other TVD characters were saints when Stefan and Damon were both murderers and even sometimes rapist! But since they did things out of “love for Elena”, they were the good guys. At least Kai was aware that he was the bad guy. Kai was completely rejected his whole life till he finally snapped, but he changed and nobody accepted him again sending him to another prison world ruining him again. This is what really broke him, the fact nobody believed he was good and tried to be better. Anyone would end up sociopathic after spending 18 years alone.

Some people say that in Kai there is no good, and that is right and some people don't like him because he caused a massacre, but if we look back in the period that Kai was sick and Jo made him better giving him her magic, they had a fight, I don't remember exactly, and in that fight he said that he was the defective twin that no one wanted, wich makes me think about the difference their parents made between Kai and Jo because he was a siphoner and that caused HIM a lot of emotional pain..Clearly when he looks at Bonnie he has that seductive and cute at the same time look, he never looked at any tvd female character like that, and stop saying that he is not good bcs he killed his sister in her wedding day, he felt betrayed by Bonnie because she left him there, and yes he betrayed her first but he was a sociopath and people don't change overnight, we clearly saw him trying to change more for bonnie than the others...and when he won the merge with luke, all the feelings and emotions mixed up in his mind and for a sociopath is hard to feel like this, he tried, and as I saw, he didn't really care if people saw that he was trying to change, he wanted Bonnie to see this..I honestly ship Enzo and Bonnie but at the same time I see Bonnie and Kai as a power couple, like the girl that changed his life forever and made him a better person..but no, Julie had to destroy his storyline by killing Jo and that made a lot of people hate him.
And not here but I see a lot of people on social media hating on the actor for his character, that is not okay because the character and the actor are completely different and I don't think it was simple for Chris to act like a murderer.

Thank you so much for explaining this. I have always been appalled by people ignoring and/or not realizing just how much Kai's lame-ass father "Joshua" and the rest of the Gemini coven are in his development into a sociopath. I've seen a lot of people just say that "Kai is evil" and just leave it at that as if he was just born evil & went on a killing spree for no reason and this always pissed me off (which I'm sure you can tell by my rant, lol). I don't believe Kai's background or the Gemini coven was ever explained or explored well, at all, but if they had, I imagine we would have gotten a much more sympathetic look into the complex character of Kai kind of like the way we got with the Joker movie of 2019.

I love the potential that all the relationships of Bonnie like Bamon and Bonkai had ,they had the potential to be real Rollercoaster stuff, but for the fault of Julia "Sabotage " Plec , that messed with everything where Bonnie was involve we were robbed 💔 😢

Tired of seeing people blaming Bonnie for how Kai became and what he did after she “betrayed” him.. Yall are so quick to vilify that girl.. YES she forgave Damon after he bit her in an earlier season, YES she forgave the Salvatores after their role in her Grams’ death or after they turned her mom into a vamp. YES all that and more.
But let’s not forget how Kai literally TRAUMATIZED her.. Man tried to gain her trust and kinda “succeeded” for a moment (bc let’s not forget how trusting Bonnie can be), THEN he shot her with a freaking arrow, shoved a blade through her body, hunted her like a prey in the creepy halls of a creepily empty hospital while she was hemorrhaging. Then just leaved her in that prison world completely torn apart and on the brink of committing suicide.. She was broken. Just put yourselves in her shoes for a bit and stop trying to minimize Kai’s actions.
Some things can break a person sooo deeply. And Bonnie was extremely AFRAID of Kai after everything he did to her.. y’all should know fear is an extremely strong feeling! You can’t just choose to stop being afraid.. it’s not a freaking SWITCH.
Moreover, I personally don’t think Kai would’ve completely changed. It “just” took Bonnie leaving him behind in the prison world for him to go spiraling again and go on a killing rampage. I believe that, hadn’t Bonnie betrayed him, some other things still would’ve caused him to go back to his old ways. Idk..🤷🏾♀️
Truth be told, I really felt bad seeing how Bonnie left him. I first thought that he could’ve been a better man and that he deserved a third (or was it a fourth?) chance. The merge with Luke did change him and make him more empathetic. BUT THEN I just tried to understand Bonnie and the place she was in at the moment. We really gotta stop blaming the victims and expecting them to feel better in the blink of an eye. If Kai really had changed or was changing, maybe he could’ve sucked it in (and by that way proved that he could be worthy of people’s trust and affection) and not go on a killing spree
…But then again I don’t want to judge him too much, bc I know how much that character suffered as a child.
My point is just: stop judging Bonnie too harshly. She’s ALWAYS been the forgiving type of girl. If she didn’t do it with Kai, it’s bc she couldn’t find it in her to do so. Period.
it’s so annoying because she was willing to give everyone a chance, even people who killed more and hurt her more, but she wouldn’t give him anything. so much waisted potential.

The creators had already begun the redemption of Kai when his merger took place. But they also forgot about it in the last episodes of season 6. His conscience tormented him, he did not want to kill his sisters anymore (or rather could not), and in the last episode abruptly returned to his previous behavior. Why was it necessary to show the influence of the ritual on his character at all, if it did not lead to anything. It wasn't even explained logically in any way. They could have mentioned that he pushed Lucas's emotions out of himself, but no...And there is such a wasted potential not only for really interesting ship (Finally in 6 seasons!) for Bonnie but also for a character arc

I just want them to get closure. For Kai to know for once that maybe someone cares for him after all. I now feel Bonnie personally reacted so badly when it came to Kai because she had something for him, and so did he, he's made it obvious a million times. One kiss, that's all I want. But we're surely never getting Bonnie back on Legacies because of plague, and I'm pretty sure Chris coming back again for Kai will become repetitive at this point. Bonnie was sooo mentally fucked up after everything kai put her through and did to her in the prison world. There's absolutely no way I would ever ship them together despite the clear indications that kai felt bad and ended up definitely being interested in her. Despite apologizing, feeling remorse, everything. Bonnie would have never felt safe with him. She'll forever be effected by him stabbing her, shooting her with an arrow, slitting her throat, choking her,etc. Bonnie hated kai. Bonnie was terrified of kai even when she was brave enough to face him. He can never make up for how he hurt her mentally and pshycically. I can't ship it. I can like each character individually but they could never justify them as a couple if it ever happened in the series. The only thing that made kloraline okay was simply that both parties were into it. Caroline wanted Klaus even when she knew he was bad. Bonnie never liked kai and could never forgive him.

The show was VERRRY different. I liked Bonnie with Enzo too though. If only they'd let him live.. they did her so dirty.
@@WingedElf Exactly the show dragged Bonnie through the mud, like they totally made her a martyr for like 8 seasons. Always sacrificing her happiness for other people, and Enzo and her felt rushed to me. But at least Bonnie was happy with him.

I feel bad for kia I feel like if just one person loved him then he would have become a better person. He isn't worse then Stefan or Damon, Damon killed a pregnant women and Stefan killed his dad so why does kia have to be the villain. He had no emotion but when he got Luke's magic and he then got emotions everybody just betrayed him over and over then he probley thought there's not point in caring anymore and then to just get killed by Alaric like that and no epic death I know they had to kill kia off because Chris wood doesn't have the time to play kia but they could of all least gave him a better death.
