  • Basic Self Defense Techniques: Defending Punches and Kicks
    If your hands are down and a punch comes through, step back and bring your hands up in front of your face attempting to parry it. If you are prepared your arms will naturally be up. When your arms are up, keep them away from your body with your elbows slightly bent. This will naturally keep your opponent at arms length for a while. Always keep moving left/right/back, attempting to stay out of your opponent's range and get in slaps and strikes when you can, when your opponent gets far enough away or is stunned from your counter attacks then run.
