I used to go see these guys when they were called the Shooze. I first caught them at a place in Waldorf Maryland called the Stardust Inn. Kick ass cover band at the time and when the originals came out it was even better. I can't count how many times (as others can as well) I've seen KiX, the Shooze, Generators (all the same band) and just kicked ass the entire time.
I respect Steve IMMENSELY for getting out before his gifts were taken from him. Mad respect. It would be easy to keep selling out shows and sounding "less than". The fact that he sounded so good deep into his 60's is amazing.
Just curious…..I attended George Mason University (Virginia) 12 in the mid 1980s. If I recall correctly, I believe Kix played at GMU in September 1985 at the Homecoming weekend festivities?
