- Is Overpass CT sided? Well that is the only question I'm sitting left with after watching the weirdest match of the year, G2 vs Sprout. And how a team ranked top 50 in the world shocked everyone after this insane match on overpass against a top 5 ranked team.
Today I will breakdown the match, look at stats and more, to answer the question, Is overpass CT sided?

Great video. Implemented several things into my teams playoff overpass match and it worked incredibly well. Really enjoy these breakdowns where you are going in depth.
Im relatively new to the cs2 scene but ive been having issues learning about map control, team awareness, ect., but your videos break them down really well and it makes me, as a viewer, digest the information and actually apply it. You earned a sub from me and my friends man. Keep it up👍👍💪💪

Enjoy your other videos as well, however this format surrounding a specific map is especially entertaining and informative. If you can break down key rounds in a longer video about a map and its meta I think that's content gold.
Its a big project, but will try to write about this during my xmas break. But as a viewer, when it comes to meta, what do you want to know about it? I wrote down: defaults, setups, positions, executes. Anything else. And if you want a video breaking down some maps, be here on friday, trying to finish a massive video just about that :)

Hooxi's Mirage map just before this one was literally incredible.
Feel like it's just 2 teams that happened to both be subpar at T-side overpass, which is not too surprising with tier 2 teams. Both teams on their t-side had 2 players do the majority of the work.

HooXi's sacrifice to spot 4 sprout and even manage to took one down was crucial on that round
It was very important yes but niko and monesy hitting those tough shots with the deag and scout are what won the round. Even if hooxi got full blind and died with no kills and no info it came down to those two hitting those insane shots.

Hooxi started the round, and G2's 11 in a row win streak, but m0nesy 2 kills are the game winners

Overpass always was CT sided, didn´t change in CS2
You do realize getting the plant when you win the round is only a bonus of $300 for the planter. Other than that your breakdown is amazing.

How is that AWP shot round 7 a miss?!
if you look at the crosshair, you see that its blurry, which means the shot is inaccurate. so either he shot to early for the scope to get fully scoped in or he still moved when he shot. to me it looks like he did counterstrave but it was still blurry so it was probably not fully scoped yet

no map is inherently CT or T sided. It's all relative to how you play as a team vs how the other team plays it.
if every team consistently scores more round wins on T as opposed to CT side, why would it not be considered a T sided map to you?
That’s just wrong for maps such as overpass and nuke at the pro level. There are patterns that just show at the highest level of play certain parts of a map are just “abused” of course in low rank match making it’s a lot more dependent on how the teams are playing
Choosing a G2 demo to prove a point about overpass is a little weird considering its been their perma-ban for forever.
Ive never watched this channel before but i'll give you the same advice my english teacher game me. When you're analysing a text (csgo match here) you need to say something about it, not just describe what happens. I dont doubt you could break down a match but just saying whats happening as it happens isnt analysiing a match

04:20 ??? Ts cannot all buy AKs after winning pistols anyways regardless of plant or not? "analysis" channel that isn't aware that the plant's +800 bonus only applies to round losses? Cmon bruh. Even If you get a plant explosion it's just 3500 instead. So still, not enough for a full AK buy, and even If every single T member gets a single kill, it's still impossible for all the Ts to buy AKs with utility
That mistake and the fact that you waste so much time analysing some simple 2vs3 in the pistol round trying to find some reason for every single move when it was just a simple case of G2 not hitting a single shot after the first 3 kills, people play heaven because you can cover most of the monster cross and the short cross from there. But again, they didn't hit a single shot and Niko got scared off after getting gushed

G2 (niko, monesy and hunter) haven't played overpass since forever. It was G2 permaban.

Then im gonna ask you, what was the video about? I myself made this video to breakdown a game that saw 2 T rounds and 22 CT rounds won. I was not gonna do a deep dive into roster moves etc. But rather show how the game was played, see statistics if Overpass is CT sided. And the thumbnail is made with the door, since in overpass in premier / faceit no one blows the door up, so i nade the thumbnail to show how important this is :)

I just wish my teammates would listen to me when I say you don’t need to hold connector on CT. It’s good for certain rounds but not every round
