Corpse is kinda like a different version of filthy frank. His audience obsessed over him, and rarely cared about his mental health. They cared about corpse the persona and not corpse the person.
i used to watch corpse occasionally when it came up in recommended and i believe taking a break or leaving it behind was the smartest choice he made because the way people obsessed over him was kinda creepy and cult like.
@lordsathariel4384 I never really watched the guy. But you are definitely correct in your description of hie audience. They often simped over him for his voice made "cute" edits and compilations. They kept picking away at the persona in hopes that they figure him out. A common pattern with faceless youtubers. The only faceless youtuber i can think of with a decent audience is H2ODelirious.

Honestly, Corpse is a real one. He never really "played" the part of a successful streamer or online personality; he always seemed straightforward about his reality and he genuinely seemed like he just wanted to have a really good time with his friends whenever he had the chance to. I genuinely just want the guy to be happy and find peace, and maybe someday he can break free from his anxiety. I hope that if he ever does do a face reveal on his own terms, that no harm comes to him, too, because it's ridiculous how many people out there were specifically targeting him just for existing.
Fr I hope some scientists can find a cure to at least one of his diseases so he can get better.

I legitimately just want the man behind the "Corpse" persona to be happy and his ailments cured so that he can live his life without fear or pain.
Wherever he is, I hope he's doing well. Every single time there was a "here's his face!!!" internet freak out, I avoided going online just in case it was real, because it just felt so disrespectful to his privacy. I didn't want to see his face if he wasn't consenting to show it.

This was thoughtful and well done. I am a 56 year old who has been living with Fibromyalgia among other health problems and totally understand what he is going through. Took years to diagnose because doctors didn’t believe Fibromyalgia was even an actual thing. I hope he has a support system among family and friends and wish him all the best!

I have been dealing with fatigue since 2006. Never got diagnosed because how the heck can I explain that I have ¼ of a normal person's energy and I need to rest 4x the time a normal person would take.

My daughter told me a lot about him and the hate he got. She said not a bit of it was deserved, he was a decent guy with major health issues. She told me so many things and he sounded so sad, worrying about his voice. She understood the health stuff because of me (HUGE health problems for most of her life) and she was so hopeful he would be ok and the hate would stop. She was sad he left, but she said the hate was ridiculous and really toxic and he deserved nothing but peace, love & support, so completely supported his decision to LEAVE his haters behind, as did those who GENUINELY supported him as a person and not a 'youtube personality'.

I used to watch/listen to him back in 2018/2019 when he uploaded scary stories. I thought his voice really fitted the mold of narration. Back then, I did not know any of his health conditions, so when I saw him blow up in popularity, I was pretty happy for the guy. Now, I understand why he left, and I honestly don't blame him. It was probably the best decision he could have made. I hope the best for him.

We call those who escape sinking ships “abandoning ship” because that is quite literally what they are doing, and it is very much for their own safety. Saying corpse had to abandon his audience because they were dangerous to his well-being is a perfectly fine way of phrasing the situation.

I really enjoyed his work in the creepy pasta narration community, and the gaming community, and I'm grateful that he entertained me and so many others during a really awful, terrifying time. I have been litrally binge watching your videos over the holiday weekend and this is the saddest one.
Whilst in all the other videos the downfall has been a making of the own creators actions, in this video Corpse has just been himself and hasn't done anything wrong.
I really do feel for him as I hide behind an avatar on all my social platforms and the world can be a cruel place.
This video was a bittersweet one compared to the rest, and I wish Corpse all the best in the future .
Even with not liking dream myself, the fact that much of the internet went out of their way to call an honestly pretty alright looking dude ugly still feels awful to me. Yeah I've heard him on some of Ironmouse and CDawgVA's streams as well. It was honestly relieving because I was worried about him. When mental health is that bad, sometimes you worry about those people..... still being around, ya know? So knowing he's still talking to his friends makes me feel much better. As soon as a started hearing more and more about his disabilities and health issues, I knew he’d end up having to escape the internet, and the world at large. Internet fans can NEVER be normal about their faves, much less about disabled faves. I think of Corpse every so often, hoping and praying he’s finding the medical help he desperately needs

I've only ever listened to his readings of creepypastas and I love them. His voice is so calming and I often listen to him reading stories to fall asleep. If he'd by any chance sees this I want him to know he's helped me with my insomnia and anxiety.❤

I'll always respect Corpse. The guy gave me so much joy with his stories and everything. I have pretty bad hearing loss that's getting worse. No matter what, his voice had stayed the same when most others had changed. That gave me some comfort in this. I'm sad about what happened to him. Its shameful how he and the other faceless creators were treated. I'll always be subscribed to Corpse and I still can hear him. That means a lot to me. I'm devastated that there isn't anything new on his channel and I'll be devastated the last time I can hear him when and if it happens.

yeah he got lucky when he blew up I just meant that he’s always struggled with his health and multiple misdiagnosis from doctors. I know how much that sucks and he was always in a lot of pain even when he was doing well financially.

I didn't even know he quit, and I honestly don't blame him. I felt the whole Dream face reveal thing would've most likely made him more anxious about the possibility of someone exposing his identity, and it's disturbing that some people actually did get it right.
corpse was one of the first scary story tellers i started watching with the first video being "why i quit hacking" and he was always my favorite his voice fit those style of videos so well and was upset to see him stop posting but then i saw him start playing with big streamers and start a music career and could be nothing more then proud of the guy very versatile dude i miss the scary vids but now he really made a name for himself you cant have nothing but respect for the guy

i used to watch corpse w my bsf back in the creepy pasta days, during quarantine it was so exciting to see him blow up, and expand content. Seeing the way people responded in such dehumanizing ways was so heartbreaking. His situation makes me think of the Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka tbh. Good for him for stepping away and prioritizing his health and safety.
The people who bashed him I bet are not smoking hot themselves. I only knew him for his scary stories that I loved and had no idea a bunch of unhinged losers were trying to ruin him. Hope he's doing better I truly hope he is.
Same here! People often forgot that the voice that made him famous is the same voice that is killing him. That is why it is understandable if he needs to take a couple of breaks or so. Not to mention, he publicly said he had a difficult home life and is just taking care of himself. So he has every right to have his own privacy respected. That is how I see him first and foremost. Not a celebrity to be worshipped but simply a content creator doing his best to get by.

I didn't know that this is why Corpse disappeared. That's so sad and I hope he's doing better now. I think I've watched every single one of Corpse's scary reading videos and I was watching him before he blew up. It's awful that people can't just let people live without having to know everything about them. I just recently got into corpses videos, and I've honestly fell in love with his content and music and his humor. I really hope where ever he is he's doing well rn. I don't care if he's quit or left I just hope he's doing better ofc im sad if he does quit but its not my choice. One of the reasons why I'm really like a big fan of him is because I somewhat relate to him, especially the parts when he said he locks himself in his house, avoids going outside and social interactions outside of the internet and how anxious he generally is. I know it's bad but hearing someone I admire go through the same thing be well in guess successful money wise. It makes me feel seen I guess, but my point still stands I hope corpse is doing well and he's going to his doctors and I hope he's rebuilding his social life.
I've talked to corpse on spoon before, around about 2019. He was a really cool dude in a fucked up situation. Hopefully he's doing better these days. The guy deserves to have his happiness.
I have some of the same chronic health conditions as Corpse, including fibromyalgia and gird. I cannot imagine having to deal with those health problems and the stress of having a massive audience and the hate that comes with that. Corpse seems like a chill guy, I don't blame him for leaving, I'd probably do the same in his position.
Right? I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia but recently found out it's lupus. Like CH I rarely if ever leave my house. I'm a very introverted person like him as well, and I just can't understand all the hate he gets.
Especially since stress can exacerbate symptoms (i have gerd and fibromyalgia too) so the constant stress of his audience definitely wouldn't help. I will never understand people who obsess to this extreme.

i miss corpse. I loved him before he even got famous. loved his scary story narrations he was perfect at it. looked forward to his posts every time. when he started gaming I thought it was great but i also missed the stories. I even love his music. I understand him and if i ever did YT i wouldn't want my face shown either. I never cared that we didn't know what he looked like and I liked him as a person long before people started obsessing with him and pressuring him. It upset me people felt the need to be so cruel to him. All he wanted was privacy but everyone wanted to see his face and never left him alone about it, to the point his face gets leaked and then everyone starts calling him names (bc people were obsessed with his deep voice) when he was more than what he looked like and his face never changed who he was. A good person who has suffered a lot. He didn't deserve the torment he got and i don't blame him if he never comes back.

I was really sad when Corpse left his channel, but his music is THE BEST, and I'm one of his top listeners on Spotify. I'll always support him, and I'm kinda glad that he didn't have to go through what Dream had to, I felt awful for both of them.

And if you noticed what I have with Dream's content as well, it's extremely hard to watch and the views have come back down to earth. He has not even had a video since the reveal that has had more than 10M views if I recall correctly. I've always liked Dream and I still do to this day and I'm in full support of him because I treat him as a real person as he's gotten a lot of unnecessary and harsh hate thrown towards him. I will defend him honestly, when he was getting accused of grooming minors I sided with him because there was never sufficient evidence against him because the internet likes to troll so I never believed that shit and was in support with him. Although I did have a few alternate opinions with things I said about him when it was going down, I was still supporting him because I felt like he was innocent, and he's managed to prove that himself. So yeah, hopefully the internet trolls forget about Corpse and his real fans can come back to him in five, ten, maybe even fifteen years from now to support him and maybe make a small return if he feels like it, but it's not something I would encourage or pressure him into. We just all need to be decent humans towards him.

Corpse was a very humble guy and hearing his voice takes me back to the 2020 Among Us days and people were becoming so drawn to his voice which even caught the attention of AOC. He had that mysterious vibe and kept a low profile online, but it was sad to hear about what he was going through and how people were so obsessed with his personal life. I hope he is doing well now, and I really think he’s a talented musician as well.
I was never really a Corpse fan but I always appreciate him whenever I seen him in random videos. Legitimately seemed like a cool guy. My heart breaks for him and all the terrible things people put him through. I know what it's like to be in a room full of people and feel utterly alone. And I feel like that's how it was for him everyday.

He actually pops into his friends’ streams sometimes and just hangs out. I’ve seen him with ironmouse, connerVA and foolish. There’s a channel on YT called ‘corpse on other peoples streams’ or something similar, and they’ve basically just archived a bunch of his appearances on peoples streams.
The channel hasn’t posted in awhile I don’t think, and their recent uploads have just been him showing up in foolish’s streams (even though I know he appeared in others’ as well), so unfortunately it’s not super up to date but still fun to visit if you want more corpse content.
I personally just find it nice to know that he’s doing ok in life, despite everything that happened

Never really knew much about this guy other than a few snippets here and there as I wasn't into this scene, but hearing about all the things he went through purely due to other people's obsessions is depressing to say the least. In case you didn't know, these people are streamers. They're performers, they tend to overreact for their viewers. Whilst you and I will react in a subtle quiet way, they have to react the same way they think their audience would, only out loud.

This is a pretty awful first impression. Especially talking about him in front of him as if he wasn't hearing all of it.
You do need to remember that they were playing things up as performers, but i would also like to think that considering these streamers are great people that they knew he had anxiety and played up their reception of him for that. They did genuinely get to know him and treated him like an equal and a friend during their time together.

He was my favorite story teller. I'd fall asleep and listen to his stories while playing games. I miss that and it's sad that he decided to walk away from it. If I remember correctly he said something along the lines that reading stories for hours on end really hurt his throat so I understand why he stopped. I honestly miss when he didn't "Blow up". I hope he's doing better and hope he's happier.

Corpse will forever have a place in my heart in the least weird way possible. I struggled a lot with the mental hangups he has, and his content brought me boatloads of joy. Weather it was the narration videos, or his gameplay videos, he was always just a joy to watch. The biggest reason I'll always remember him fondly is when my fiance was in a car accident that nearly ended her life, and absolutely butt-fucked my car into the shadow realm, I was listening to a lot of his music on my drives back and forth from the hospital to see her. Same reason that Scarlxrd will always have a place in my heart because Misa Misa released while she was in the hospital and I listened to it a lot.
People are cruel. I hope he's doing well, and one way or the other he'll always be on my mind in some capacity.

I followed Corpse in the early days before he became famous. I loved his videos and I would just pass out to his voice when I needed some well needed rest after having my son. He was one of my favorite creators, and still is. It pains me to think that he had to go through so much stress. Corpse is such a sweet private guy that was turned into an object of fixation.
