I don’t collect figures based on “I gotta have the cast from this media”. I just get figures if they are good and I think they look nice. I guess of the characters I don’t have, Blaster and Hot Rod would be nice.
TO answer the question of the video: I now have what *I* need for my 86 collection. Studio Series 86 Hot Rod, Siege Springer, Earthrise Arcee, Siege Ultra Magnus, Generations Selects Galvatron, and the 35th edition of the 86 movie DVD. (I can feel free to sprinkle in Power of the Primes Punch and Earthrise Counterpunch to taggle along that kind of crowd (and to bridge the link between 86 & post-86, given the Horrorcons, Duocons, and Powermaster Seekers, to name a few). It's *my* collection, so I can do whatever I want/wish with it.) (Target: 2006 paperback should be coming in less than a week.)
So you were frustrated about figuring out how to transform the thing, or does that particular copy come with *ANY* instructions? (Those two Jobby videos are, as usual (in his nature), funny AF.)
Nope this version also doesn't get instructions, and the time I had a hard time transforming it was the Big Spring version, this one I knew how it worked going in. Why would Punch Counter Punch be in your movie line up?
@@PerspectiveEnd Because I find that he fits well in that aesthetic lineup despite not being in that lineup. (Or more accurately, it makes a really good quartet/group, despite it not being an actual group.) (Have you SEEN that Springer reddit post, the last image?) (And I wouldn't say "movie lineup", more like an "Autobot team lineup" (which I'll call Team Athenia), and Earthrise Counterpunch looks/works reasonably well with Gen Selects Galvatron, due to the different colors of both.)
I think the season 3 intro’s conclusion has Rodimus prime, Ultra Magnus, and a Kup colored SPRINGER running towards the screen! This isn’t relevant to the video by the way.
To answer your question of the video 3:01. I need Studio Series 86 Wreck-Gar and Junkheap for my movie 86 lineup. I was originally gonna skip the Junkions, as they didn't look that interesting to me. But after seeing more reviews of Wreck-Gar, and the newly release Junkheap, I got hooked on their designs.
I always wanted this figure! I Own the Open and Play Big Cannon, and I love it! I have been hunting for an Ait Wolf, and for some reason it has been so hard for me to get one!
That new head is so much better than the first one’s! And I am missing Perceptor, Gnaw, Rodimus, Springer, Quintesson Judge, Cliffjumper, and Scourge (Sweep is standing in for him for now) for my 86 cast.
Wow, that was quiet an ordeal you had going through getting this thing. Glad you actually got it! The figures I’m most interested in getting to fill out my 86 roster would be siege Starscream and Legacy/Kingdom Blaster. Legacy has finally dropped here!
Premium finish in my opinion is only worth it for that BB movie bumblebee, possibly siege prime, and BB movie Optimus The decos don't look worth it for the rest
I agree on this one. Fantastic figure for the price. I payed 50 bucks for Big Spring and am more than happy with him. The face don't bother me at all and I fixed the tabbing issue
I personally don’t have a “movie shelf” it’s basically just an 86 autobot shelf. It’s got magnus, hot rod, arcee, wreckgar, springer, Daniel, kup, blurr, fire bolt(hot rods target master), and sky lynx. Thought about adding MMC mirage, but I’ve gotta wait for a review.
When Studio Series 86 was announced I was happy just having the new Autobots introduced in the movie (my ride or die crew) but then they started releasing damn good Decepticons in Kingdom like Cyclonus and Galvatron and then those Dinobots 😍 so now I'm committed to owning every character from the movie knowing damn well it will never be complete because I'll never have Unicron. 😭
Huh, I hadn't noticed that 86 has just been the bots so far, and that all the cons wound up in Kingdom. I wonder if that's just how it played out or there was a reason for that.
Just ordered this guy, can’t wait for it to arrive. Thanks for the recommendation. Also what I need to complete my collection, pretty much everything 😂. My collection consists of MP10 Prime, DS-01 Starscream, MP-28 Hot Rod and now this.
1. Wow. No idea how I missed this gem of a video.😮😮😮 2. Springer on the Cheap? Sounds like a parody lyric for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move arrangement of the Starman theme... 3. Them shoulderpads could be worse: they could've been like that dumpster fire that Toyworld shitted out back in the day. (And the Toyworld/Zeta Arcee makes the Earthrise one look like a diamond for how laughably bad it is...) 4. That question? Lemme see here...I need for Autobots: Wheelie (preferably TR or Takara Legends), SS86 Wreck-Gar and ALL the 86 & Legacy Junkions, the rest of Blaster's Tape Minions, and a Metroplex. I'd even take one of them G1 KOs. For Decepticons, I need: Buzzsaw, a Siege compatible Laserbeak & Ravage, 86 Frenzy, and I guess the ol' skool Armada Unicron or that Studio 1 "Cell". Oh, and a Quintesson, a couple Alicons, and a SS86 Gnaw, a Takara Legends Gnaw, and a couple copies of TR Gnaw. I would say Trypticon, but he ain't show up until S3 proper.
1 Thank you for calling it a Gem. 2 Yeah it kind of does. 3 I mean at least that thing has it's own vibe. 4 So what I'm hearing is that you are a ways away.
Man there is something about the stubbiness of those vehicle modes that reminds me bumblebee and cliffjumpers scrunched up car forms. somehow though, i actual really like it. it really does remind me of how i felt when i saw figures i wanted in like 1989/1990.
QOTD: Studio Series 86 has helped me get so close to completing a Movie/S3 cast. Though i still want a Wheelie done in the same style. I know Wheelie is hardly anyones favorite, and we got a pretty decent update in Titans Return, but I just wonder if the current designers can do their micro-masterpiece magic on the boy.
@@PerspectiveEnd The DNA Designs kit? Its not bad, but the Wheelie included is a complete toy and with a very lacking altmode. I hope to see an official update to Wheelie at some point. Maybe a modified version of the TR mold now that SS86 Arcee has opened that possibility.
QOTD: i pretty much have the whole 86 movie crew, i'm just not sold on some of the figures. i ended up replacing studio series kup and blurr with their takara legends titans return versions recently since those molds are far more fun. sure, they aren't as screen accurate as the studio series (takara legends kup also has a horrid face, though it's not much worse than the studio series), but i'm far more interested in cool looking/fun figures over 1:1 character model translations. i also might replace thrilling 30 arcee with the studio series one; not entirely sure about that yet. i'd also like a new wheelie, but i'm content with the titans return one.
Honestly I think you made the correct choice with Kup and Blurr. Also, you even have the Minor Movie Characters? Like the Insecticons and what have you.
@@PerspectiveEnd i primarily collect the 1984-1986 autobots, so i have all of the autobots that were introduced in that movie. and wreck gar. but i do have the old legends class kickback and shrapnel they did a few years ago.
The new head definitely makes it look MUCH better. Thou as an owner of MMC Saltus, who despite being a triple changer is a solid brick, poses as well as alot of great MMC/Ocular Max figures, a dead simple but buttery smooth transformation, and alt modes while not dead accurate definitely capture the spirit of them really well. Its my personal favourite 3p mp figure i have.
I just got Kingdom Warpath, and he's a BLAM!! amazing figure, and a glorious POW!! entry to Deluxe class. I got lucky, my Warpath doesn't need partsforming. I'm putting the shield away to the depths of my toy weapons bag. This Warpath's transformation is super intuitive and as easy to learn as the Core class ones. Rolls well too. I have no problem with the back flap. You see why I don't like big figures? I have small and weak fingers. That's why Core class size is ideal for posing to me. Warpath's a red tank. He has a built in cannon. He has a face plate. Just... awesome overall. This guy's also got a satisfying feel overall. This is gonna be a highlight of my collection, just like BeastBox Nightcrawler. For once, this is a dream figure I got with a discount price, 30% off. I bought Warpath for $23. Buying this means that I can use the Battle Masters properly. I like the Battle Masters. But aside from Rung and Hot Rod's and Cyclonus' target masters, they're no one. These things were way overpriced. But now every Battle Master has more than 50% discount. This has better poseability than the 4 inch DC figures Spin Master makes right now. They don't have waist swivels and wrist swivels, which is a shame, cause that's the reason I was interested in them in the first place. I almost bought one of them. And I'm glad I bought Warpath instead. KAPOW KABLAMMA! I just happen to have the amazing Core Optimus and an accurate enough Core Megatron. I ain't gonna buy big Transformers figures if they're not absolute mini masterpieces that I like. There are figures of human form Ben, but I was talking about Diamondhead, and that's the one I have.
Cool review. I have been thinking of getting either this or MMC saltus. However in a side note. The deformation seekers are on sale at show z store for $84.
I picked up the Thundercracker cause he's the only one they had in stock now that it's all on sale. I've never really heard anyone talk about the MMC figure, so I have no idea how it turned out.
@@PerspectiveEnd ah. I think its a flawed but very good figure [definitely one of my favorites in my collection] and I'll wait until you possibly do a deeper review on him.
I say to complete a movie lineup you need: Optimus, Megetron, Star scream, Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge, the dinobots minus snarl….maybe have a holographic trading card of him, Hotrod, Kup, Springer, Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Blurr, and now with the 86 line Wrek-Garr and as many junkeons as you want
@@PerspectiveEnd devastation is in about 59 seconds of the film, if I was to add devastation to the display I’d have to include bots like brawn or dirge as well and at that point it’s just a g1 shelf not a movie shelf
So I just got Kingdom Dinobot and 2007 Voyager Blackout that comes with a tiny Scorponok a week ago. Honestly, I LOVE them! Dinobot is a SPITTING image of Dinobot (except for the lack of muscles and paint, but I don't mind that). His posability is avarage, just needs some sword-weilding action. Tranaformation is fun with a lot of fun and clever steps. The Dino(bot) mode is good. I just dont like the hands that much, I mean, I get that budgets are a thing, but they seriously couldn't add a single hinge in there? (I actually saw that there is an upgrade kit for those if you are interested). I got just two real issues with him: 1.-His thighs are just too tight for me, it works but it fights you. It's so tight, when I got him, I actually thought he just DIDN'T have thigh swivels! 2.-His left foot is too loose. He can stand just fine, excellent even, but when you pick him up off the ground, his foot just goes down, but those issues are on my copy only as far as I know. As for 2007 Blackout, he's dope. Sure, his articulation is lacking for today's standards, but considering its 15 years old, I'll live. As I said, he comes with a small Scorponok. He's...fine I guess. He just has a tail that's on a spring (you just press on the tail and it just comes up again, nothing special). Blackout's transformation is solid, and there is a bit of auto-morph regarding the head area. The helicopter mode is just pure GOLD! There are two gimmicks for it: 1.-There is a long button that, when pressed, spins the main rotor of the helicopter and 2.-There is a smaller button that, when pressed, opens a small compartment for Scorponok to drop out of. And he falls on the right side EVERY time, which is neat! Anyways my scores for these figures are: Dinobot: 8,5/10 (due to my personal issues) Blackout: 9/10 In conclusion, I really reccomend these figures to anyone who can pick them up. And since you already have Dinobot and reviewed him, I can only reccomend Blackout! (sorry for the REALLY long comment, I just really like talking 'bout the figures I get and expressing how i feel about them!)
I feel like I've not seen you in a while. I feel like both sets of hands are really weird. Well thanks for the recommendations, and don't worry about the long comment.
This looks very good. Depending on how it scales with XTB Commander Stack I may have to go for this one instead of the FansToys one. (Yes, I'm a fan of "the cult" 😆) For that price, it's a heck of a deal.
"Complete" is an interesting question. Are we talking about every character who appeared or just the new ones? Also are we talking about "movie accurate" or just figures that represent them (as in I have a Siege Magnus and that's good enough for me)? If it's just the new characters, I need a Qunitesson, a baliff, and a Wheelie (I'm not counting the one that came with Grimlock).
Every character who appeared in the movie, but if you want to redefine it. Just a figure that represents that version of that character. It doesn't have to be accurate but it can't be a figure of a character who just shares the name. Like you can't have an Armada Cyclonus and say you have a Cyclonus.
@@PerspectiveEnd Legacy is my first crack at Insecticons, so Bombshell and Shrapnel are on my list. I'd also say the Constructions, as well as Rumble and Frenzy to finish off the leadership fight scene. I'm not unhappy with Studio Series Blurr and Kup, but I definitely think they could be done better. And a definitive Ultra Magnus Earth mode. I skipped Kingdom because I don't like minor remolds and hated the truck mode, especially what it did to the "White Optimus" non-armored look. Not that it's needed for the movie version.
For the question of the day: not much, mainly Arcee and Unicorn, everyone else is pretty much there, well I guess there's also the dead Optimus figure from Amazon and junkheap and the sweeps but I don't plan on getting EVERYONE, just the brand new important characters, so Preceptor and Blaster aren't gonna be apart of my display
Hey man I haven't seen you in a while. You know me I start to worry when I don't see people in some time, so I just wanted to make sure you are doing ok. If you've stopped watching my stuff that's Ok, just want to know that you are fine.
@@PerspectiveEnd Hey man, I honestly thought you forgot I existed and I haven't watched a video in a hot minute Ima catch up with your content when I can, allot of stuff has happened in the last couple months since I quietly left you can always contact me through Discord but I am alive, perhaps not wanting to be but I am, hope all is well for you
@@PerspectiveEnd well to my answer to your question would be to have the three main villain characters made by unicorn (galvatron, cyclonus, and scurge) or to have the new characters known as the wreckers which were in the movie (ultamagnus, springer, arcee, kup, hot rod, and blurr
eh personally I think all they need to do to make a perfect springer is retool the thrilling thirty version with better plastic and more substantial heels that would be absolutely perfect
That would be a great version of that Springer but not the classic version. Also it wouldn't be perfect because that thing doesn't pose well, so it'd need deeper joints at the elbows and knees, as well as ankle tilts.
Only characters I’m missing for 86 is the other three Dinobots, Perceptor, Blaster, and the new 86 Arcee. I’m only really going after the autobots and I’m a little annoyed as I only got the T30 Arcee a couple months back only for it to be blown out of the water.
The only characters I need to finish my 86 cast, to the extent I'm willing to go to, are Ultra Magnus and Springer. I'm thinking Combiner Wars and Siege respectively. However I also want to upgrade my Arcee and Galvatron. Eager to get legacy Galvatron, and I'm waiting for reviews to see if 86 Arcee Is better than Generations before making that decision
Edit from 8 months later. I have since Acquired Takara Legends Ultra Magnus, Siege Springer, and Kingdom Galvatron. So my 86 cast is basically complete now
I need 86 Arcee, Buzzworthy Kup, 86 Perceptor, 86 Blurr (thought the legacy one may just be the better choice), Scourge, Gnaw, Allicon and the Quintesson Judge
I wouldn't say it's simple. It's definitely less complex than you'd think for a MP Trippel Changer, but yeah I can see this working just fine at a voyager scale.
What do I need to finish my '86 collection? Ignoring that I'm not collecting for it (really just going for G1, in general), I think I actually just need the rest (ie. as yet unreleased) of the Studio '86 Dinobots & Legacy Insecticons, & I guess a transforming Wheelie & Powersuit Spike/ Daniel (what came with the Leader Class Dinobots can't even be counted), & for Hasbro/ Takara to do a near perfect, nearly uncompromised, CHUG-scale set of combining Constructicons, at an affordable price. So, 13 figures, it looks, I guess. Didn't realize I was that close. Hopefully, with how good Menasor's looking, the other Combiners getting a similar accuracy treatment isn't far behind, but the Stunticons' unique combination makes them much easier to pull off.
Legacy Dinobots, what are those? Smart assery aside yeah I'm not specifically out to collect the movie, but I'm always happy to check one more figure off the list of the movie characters. I mean if the Worst Combiner is getting this good, I have to assume the better ones will get treated much the same.
I need a Springer, a Wreck Gar, and maybe an 86 Scourge or Sweep though I do have the Generations one. I technically don’t have a Rodimus but Hot Rod is great either way.
I’ve sort of done a main name character G1 character collection and the rest is random stuff from different lines that I thought looked cool or were on sale for a good price.
@@PerspectiveEnd I counted the G1 characters in the movie collection as the end of that shelf. I do have the characters just some aren’t the current version like I have 30th springer and I think it’s the 30th/Legends Arcee
My collection doesn't exist. I stay updated with my childhood because I like knowing about the toys I will never have, it brings me joy seeing them advance and change. You remembered question of the video. Is that because of me? If not, that's okay. Anyway, thanks for giving me something to comment about.
QOTV: lol im literally in the middle of doing that, and so far ss86 hot rod, buzzworthy kup, ss86 arcee, buzzworthy cliffjumper (i bought his pin to kill the evil partsforming part) ss86 sludge and for future core class wheelie (has been leaked just in name tho) snarl and swoop im also doing headcanon that shockwave helped the main cast (also fun fact way before the script was released that shockwave was supposed to be the blitzwing of the five faces of darkness i had in mind that shockwave would help the 86 cast, but unlike the script, once unicron and galvatron are defeated shockwave logically realizes that hot rod nor ultra magnus arent worthy of ruling cybertron, he is . So in the defeated state the autobots are he becomes the last threat to defeat
@@PerspectiveEnd as I said he kinda didn't he was supossed to be the role blitzwing had in five faces of darkness (know the quintessons were evil, turn against galvatron, need the help of rodimus)
I am not the type to collect an entire cast but I am the type "I must get this version of the character" . And i only have only 1 version of each character (if I can force myself not to buy another version of the same character I already have)
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, but at least they were able to make a transformation for non toy adaptation friendly bay designs (like Galvatron, if you can even call it that)
Question of the Video: Let's see... I still need a Blaster (mine isn't in yet), Snaral, Swoop, Sludge, more Junkions, Alacons, Sunstreaker... and technically a Unicron, but I care way too much about scale... so that's never happening
@@PerspectiveEnd as an aside: image trying to transform it?? Even just a building size Unicron, you would need a crane, and those ratchets would be beyond HELLLLLL!!!
I know this isn’t really relevant to the toy but I just realised that the wreckers springer, if you painted his face grey and made his shoulders face up would be near dead on colour layout to the IDW design
Answering the question months too late! Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Wheelie, Springer, Wreck-Gar, Cyclonus, Scourge, Sharkticons, Quintessons and Unicron. I decided I'm gonna try getting Legacy toy color Cyclonus because I prefer the purple used and more darker color scheme, and the more I look at Scourge the more that blue just pops. Still plan on getting the iGear Sharks, putting one of em with the Decepticons and the other two with the Quints. Dunno what the heck I'll do for them though, that ER figure looks rough and people ask way too much for it anymore, and Unicron..that Armada figure is about the most affordable option both monetarily and space wise. That Haslab figure looks great but...Man the panels.
@@PerspectiveEnd I may have been tired when writing this lol. Scourges colors pop more to me the more I look at him, plus I love blue. The Legacy Selects figure of Cyclonus with the toy colors also makes him pop more because of the darker purple and grey compared to the Kingdom's that feels..faded? Is the best way to describe it. That's probably why he never stuck out to me. Yeah they look great. Plus transforming how the animation models do without any weird compromises like the Titans Return figure taking the upper jaw with the legs for some reason, and I love the stylized look. That big Haslab Unicron.
Do you remember to the Legacy Kickback review you did three weeks ago and you were confused about those white pegs I think I found what they're used for just flip the back legs up on the arms and use the bike pegs to into the bottom of the hand and that works
QOTD: A Core Class Grimlock, or a new Core Hot Rod mold for recreating the Optimus Vs Megatron scene. I rarely buy big figures. Core class' size is ideal for posing to me. I have pretty weak and small hands, and I get overwhelmed by 5 inch figures. Springer is cool. His head looks so good. Siege Springer is a great representation of Springer, even though he's not that screen accurate. Springer's just a few steps away from being a samurai. I'm really convinced that I should never transform him if I get him for an extreme discount price or something, the car mode can't roll with your copy's awful QC and the helicopter transformation is bad. Honestly I'll just wait to see the SS86 one. If I ever buy a Transformers figure bigger and more expensive than Core class, I want the car mode to roll as good as Hot Wheels cars. Cause I feel like they're not worth the price in general. I just want to bring my toys around. Then there's Robot Hero Airwolf. I remember you boy, you've come back, better than ever. I've seen Jobby's review of Open and Play Springer, and this is a glorious comeback. The Robot Hero Springer is just so much better than the Siege one. It's built better, it poses better, it transforms better, and it's more accurate while looking as good as the Siege one. And it's $80. That's kind of standard Figma and SH Figuarts (anime action figures) prices, so I think this is extremely cheap for collectors. This guy's a freaking 3 in 1 with great transformations, the car mode rolls almost as well as Hot Wheels cars, he poses great, he's probably gonna be more screen accurate than the SS86 Springer, and on top of all that, he looks great in general. Complex transformations make putting the toys away a huge hassle. And even if the transformation is actually fun and intuitive, it's not great to have transformations be more than 50% of the playtime. This is the reason I don't want big Transformers figures. But squares are really cool, not gonna lie. I'm not particularly a Transformers guy. The most interesting part of a Transformers toy for me is the 2 in 1 aspect. What if I told you that there's a robot horned beetle toy that poses better than the real thing? He transforms, but his alt mode's a cube. Doesn't partsform or anything, this guy's transformation is fun. The combination of blue and yellow on this thing is amazing. This guy is genuinely Masterpiece level, he's 11 cm long and he costs $25 (so basically Deluxe class), and if it weren't for the Gundams and other anime figures that soak up attention I think it would've been a bestseller. Here is Beastbox BB-36 Nightcrawler. ua-cam.com/video/HFJ5PCHrgdo/v-deo.html I have this figure and I really love him. Yesterday I bought a Playmates Ben 10 (2016 reboot) 5 inch Diamondhead figure today, the clear Omnitrix green version. This poses worse than Core Optimus on every front. This Diamondhead figure is built so well and it's so damn sturdy. He can barely move his legs back (like Core Soundwave), the elbow joints don't follow the lower arm swivels, he can't bend his elbows and his knees to 90°, he can't t pose, and the head only swivels. But he has a waist swivel, he has wrist swivels (though it's borderline useless since he only has relaxed hands), and he's satisfyingly hefty. The weapon doesn't plug in, it's just held by poor friction and gravity at that point. This guy's chin is wider than the original design, and I think it's the only one thing that looks off for me. Still a great Diamondhead though. The teeth are kinda ugly but it's fine, they were there in the original cartoon. The original Ben 10 is one of my favorite cartoons ever, I know that stuff well. And yes, this is yet another thing I picked up because it was on huge clearance discount. Bought this for $3. What an awesome deal. By the way, what games do you play nowadays besides Minecraft?
Why are the core figures good for recreating the Optimus Vs Megatron scene? I hope they make an 86 Retool of the Siege Version. Yeah sometimes it is a paint to set down a complex transforming figure since you have to go through the process to display it. That's a cool little guy. I've never been interested in the beast boxes personally, I don't know, I just don't feel em. I didn't know they made figures of just Ben in his human form. I've been playing a game called Nightmare Reaper lately, it's a Boomer Shooter.
@@PerspectiveEnd I was convinced since yesterday 😅 but your video reasures that decision... Also, about the peeking face issue, you just need to rotate the face backwards while in robot mode and it will fit perfectly well in the vehicle modes so you'll be looking at the back of the head instead of the face from the underside... I've seen other reviewers doing so.
QotV: Honestly? A good Devastator. I have been on the fence, teetering back and forth on whether or not to get the Combiner Wars version of the hulking brute for literal years now, and I honestly can't bring myself to buy it because of how much a lot of the robot modes really just suck when it comes to some of the looks and articulation. If SS86 gives us 1 Constructicon at a time like they did with the previous Studio Series Devastator, I'd be damned happy...
Unite warriors devastator is by far the best devastator there is. Combiner wars whilst much more flawed is also a good option. UW version is very hard to get nowadays though
TF source got me a thing in literally 2 days after ordering. ive heard many complaints about them for various reasons. ive yet to have any issues with them. only ordered a couple things from there though lemontree revenge shockwave TFC Nuclear Prime Fans robot hero toy acoustic sound wave wave just got shockwave and soundwave. these are the only 3pMps I have so far. soundwave wow the quality is crazy. ripped from the screen. love it man
I don’t hate this, but if I got another springer other then my siege one I would get the MMC version. I would of thought you would of went with that one. Also I always like to see your Patreon grow at the end of the video!
I don’t collect figures based on “I gotta have the cast from this media”. I just get figures if they are good and I think they look nice.
I guess of the characters I don’t have, Blaster and Hot Rod would be nice.
I'm much the same, but at the same time, I do break them up into groups, and it would be cool to have the movie cast all done.
that's what I do too. I was never really able to be a completionist so I just focus on what catches my interest and use reviews to judge on iffy ones
It's *my* collection, so I can do whatever I want/wish with it.)
(Target: 2006 paperback should be coming in less than a week.)
(Or more accurately, it makes a really good quartet/group, despite it not being an actual group.)
(Have you SEEN that Springer reddit post, the last image?)
(And I wouldn't say "movie lineup", more like an "Autobot team lineup" (which I'll call Team Athenia), and Earthrise Counterpunch looks/works reasonably well with Gen Selects Galvatron, due to the different colors of both.)
I ordered this guy because you recommended him.
I really like him.
I am very proud to hear that.
Nothing beats more than watching this while eating your favorite cereal in the morning
Glad to hear that I can be that youtuber for you.
I think the season 3 intro’s conclusion has Rodimus prime, Ultra Magnus, and a Kup colored SPRINGER running towards the screen! This isn’t relevant to the video by the way.
I mean yeah that is how the intro ran. And yes Springers face was discolored, but why do you bring this up?
It was Kup's body with Springers's head and Ultra Magnus's face was blue
I would love to see a collection showcase
Many people have asked for that, but I like to surprise you guys with reviews you didn't see coming so I always resist.
@@PerspectiveEnd Makes sense
To answer your question of the video 3:01. I need Studio Series 86 Wreck-Gar and Junkheap for my movie 86 lineup. I was originally gonna skip the Junkions, as they didn't look that interesting to me. But after seeing more reviews of Wreck-Gar, and the newly release Junkheap, I got hooked on their designs.
Is that it? You are almost done then.
Well, there is the Haslab Unicron. But I don't have both the budget to get him nor the space to accommodate him either.
I need a chug springer, TR kup ( i like it more than 86) TR or 86 Blurr and 86 Wreck Garr. Not really in it for accuracy more for fun figures
Well this may not be chug but it's fun.
5:48 🎶What is love! Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.🎵
I didn't even think about night at the Roxbury till after I rendered the video.
Finally a week of springers
It's not. It's just these two.
Showz Airwolf: *"i got better things to do tonight than Ship"*
I always wanted this figure! I Own the Open and Play Big Cannon, and I love it! I have been hunting for an Ait Wolf, and for some reason it has been so hard for me to get one!
I put links to this figure in the description so maybe grab it there.
That new head is so much better than the first one’s!
And I am missing Perceptor, Gnaw, Rodimus, Springer, Quintesson Judge, Cliffjumper, and Scourge (Sweep is standing in for him for now) for my 86 cast.
Yeah the first one was crazy bad.
Thanks for the recommendation man. I wouldn't know he was being reissue or his existence for that matter if it wasn't for your video
Wow, that was quiet an ordeal you had going through getting this thing. Glad you actually got it!
The figures I’m most interested in getting to fill out my 86 roster would be siege Starscream and Legacy/Kingdom Blaster.
Legacy has finally dropped here!
Yeah it was a pain.
Nice. Hope you can find Blaster soon, though you will probably have to go through the secondary market for Starscream.
@@PerspectiveEnd It’s either than or the premium finish one.
Premium finish in my opinion is only worth it for that BB movie bumblebee, possibly siege prime, and BB movie Optimus
The decos don't look worth it for the rest
@@tfninjadoom I agree, however, where I live postage is so expensive that a premium finish Starscream is almost the same price!
@@moosiefate Damn, that really gives you free choice. Sucks how expensive even normal figures are though. DAMN YOU 2022
Very good figure but one thing dictates the winner for me the price
So is this a good price to you?
@@PerspectiveEnd kind of but the siege one is a lot cheaper
3:04 all of them basically, I only have jazz and kup, I’m aiming more towards the bb toys though so it’s fine
Yeah you got a ways to go then.
absolutely,
I agree on this one. Fantastic figure for the price. I payed 50 bucks for Big Spring and am more than happy with him. The face don't bother me at all and I fixed the tabbing issue
Yeah, that's about how much I got my brothers for, amazing deal for an amazing figure.
Yeah totally understand that. Not everyone is going to be trying to get all the 86 cast.
What does Mirage and Skylynx got to do with 86?
@@PerspectiveEnd I meant 86 as in season 3, which aired in 1986. And mirage is a hint to get you to review MMC mirage.
Love the alt modes, looks so cute and chibi
They do look kind of chibi.
@@PerspectiveEnd Scourge, The Sweep and Coronation Starscream were in 86 but I'm hoping for more Cons especially Soundwave and the Constructicons.
Consider this video was released in the date of my birthday (June 10th), it's nice to see a review of a good 3rd Party Springer.
5:47
I personally call that type of joint a "Quagmire joint"
Giggity, Giggity... Giggity goo.
For 86, all new characters (excluding Junkions minus Wreck-Gar), Blaster, Perceptor, Grey/muted colours Optimus and Starscream
What do you mean all new characters?
@@PerspectiveEnd The characters introduced in the movie
Just ordered this guy, can’t wait for it to arrive. Thanks for the recommendation.
Also what I need to complete my collection, pretty much everything 😂. My collection consists of MP10 Prime, DS-01 Starscream, MP-28 Hot Rod and now this.
1. Wow. No idea how I missed this gem of a video.😮😮😮
(And the Toyworld/Zeta Arcee makes the Earthrise one look like a diamond for how laughably bad it is...)
2:16 “and that was how perspective end got canceled”
I have done worse to be canceled than just observing a figure looked a bit Asian.
To.answer the question: I need an Arcee, a Unicron, a Springer, a Wreck Gar, a Kup, the Dinobots, Starscream, Bumblebee and Jazz.
Unicron is impossible to get for a decent price, they are always so expensive.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, that's why I don't want a Unicron, lol.
Nice review.... in the back of the car mode (7:56) the 2 gray part can be connected by sliding them to the middle.
This springer is so a masterpiece 3rd party very nice
Third party does tend to put out great figures.
There's an upgrade kit for the 86 Grimlock that has a Wheelie.
There's an SS86 Wheelie coming later this year, isn't there?
I am devastated that the 3p company that made the chibi/sd grimlock is now defunct
I know right. Please someone else steal their mold. Just do it, we want it and there's no one to fight you over it.
Smoht as Butter and made of Rubber
One off the best rimes ever
That was semi accidental.
Excellent masterpiece style figure. Great...! Anyway, great review.
Hey sorry that you haven’t been doing great subs wise, keep going man, I know it will pay off.
I know it will, it just would have been cool to get an extra 2K this year.
Another Springer? I got kinda excited for a week of Springer. Don't go fooling me here! 😁
It's not a week of Springers. I'm sorry, I still think you will enjoy the next video though.
@@PerspectiveEnd I was going back and forth on the masterpiece starscream or deformation, but once deformation was on sale, it was hard to resist.
I have the open and play big spring and I love it.
Yeah, it's a great design, I think the head here is better, but otherwise they are almost indistinguishable.
@@PerspectiveEnd Couldn't agree more about the head.
I found my siege springer and shockwave a day ago, they were in a box
Does the figure hold up now in your opinion.
The Thrilling 30 generations springer is still my favorite springer figure
Totally get it, though have you handled this thing or the earlier version.
Any chance at reviewing t-30 spinger if you have one?
I do have one, but it's not a week of Springers so it's not next. I did cover that in my WTB Wreckers though.
Don't forget the Insecticons and Devesatator.
Anyways my scores for these figures are: Dinobot: 8,5/10 (due to my personal issues)
Blackout: 9/10
In conclusion, I really reccomend these figures to anyone who can pick them up.
Well thanks for the recommendations, and don't worry about the long comment.
don’t you think that the gold disks that came with the arc are way too big
Looks great!
This looks very good. Depending on how it scales with XTB Commander Stack I may have to go for this one instead of the FansToys one. (Yes, I'm a fan of "the cult" 😆)
For that price, it's a heck of a deal.
I assume it scales fine, considering they are both MP Scale.
Yeah you don't need dead optimus.
Hey man I haven't seen you in a while. You know me I start to worry when I don't see people in some time, so I just wanted to make sure you are doing ok. If you've stopped watching my stuff that's Ok, just want to know that you are fine.
@@PerspectiveEnd Hey man, I honestly thought you forgot I existed and I haven't watched a video in a hot minute Ima catch up with your content when I can, allot of stuff has happened in the last couple months since I quietly left you can always contact me through Discord but I am alive, perhaps not wanting to be but I am, hope all is well for you
I try very hard to not forget people. It's hard when you talk to like 300 on the daily, but I try and try, and sometimes I succeed.
the wreckers or unicorns reformatted decepticons in my oppinion
What?
@@PerspectiveEnd well to my answer to your question would be to have the three main villain characters made by unicorn (galvatron, cyclonus, and scurge) or to have the new characters known as the wreckers which were in the movie (ultamagnus, springer, arcee, kup, hot rod, and blurr
Are you considering getting the new Xtransbots springer? If not what do you think of that figure?
I do not, and I really REALLY hate it's coloring. Outside that it looks about the same as anyone going for that hyper toon look on him.
eh personally I think all they need to do to make a perfect springer is retool the thrilling thirty version with better plastic and more substantial heels
that would be absolutely perfect
100% agreed
That would be a great version of that Springer but not the classic version.
Also it wouldn't be perfect because that thing doesn't pose well, so it'd need deeper joints at the elbows and knees, as well as ankle tilts.
@@PerspectiveEnd ok those to
Only characters I’m missing for 86 is the other three Dinobots, Perceptor, Blaster, and the new 86 Arcee. I’m only really going after the autobots and I’m a little annoyed as I only got the T30 Arcee a couple months back only for it to be blown out of the water.
So you have all the minor characters too. Like Bombshell, and the other insecticons?
Should have mentioned im only doing the autobots. That was in my original plan for this comment but I must have forgot
To be more specific the main autobots not the one shot death of a couple seconds of screen time.
The the Quintesson really count. You can make one with an egg and some cooked spaghettis.
Given how simple this is for mp standards, i still dont know why the hell havent a 4th party company downscaled it to voyager
I wouldn't say it's simple. It's definitely less complex than you'd think for a MP Trippel Changer, but yeah I can see this working just fine at a voyager scale.
For the question of the video: probably a unicron
Good ol Uncron his figures are so expensive.
Yeah I can see how some of those borderline count.
I’ve sort of done a main name character G1 character collection and the rest is random stuff from different lines that I thought looked cool or were on sale for a good price.
So you have nothing you need to complete a movie collection?
@@PerspectiveEnd I counted the G1 characters in the movie collection as the end of that shelf. I do have the characters just some aren’t the current version like I have 30th springer and I think it’s the 30th/Legends Arcee
My collection doesn't exist. I stay updated with my childhood because I like knowing about the toys I will never have, it brings me joy seeing them advance and change. You remembered question of the video. Is that because of me? If not, that's okay. Anyway, thanks for giving me something to comment about.
Honestly, the only figures I need to finish the 86 movie collection are Arcee, Wheelie, Unicron, and Scourge
Really. Are we talking of all characters that Appeared in the movie, or characters that were introduced in the movie?
@@PerspectiveEnd The Characters that were on the original poster.
I’m gonna guess this guy would take 1 on the “what’s the best wreckers” if he was in that video
QOTV: lol im literally in the middle of doing that, and so far
ss86 hot rod, buzzworthy kup, ss86 arcee, buzzworthy cliffjumper (i bought his pin to kill the evil partsforming part) ss86 sludge and for future core class wheelie (has been leaked just in name tho) snarl and swoop
im also doing headcanon that shockwave helped the main cast (also fun fact way before the script was released that shockwave was supposed to be the blitzwing of the five faces of darkness i had in mind that shockwave would help the 86 cast, but unlike the script, once unicron and galvatron are defeated shockwave logically realizes that hot rod nor ultra magnus arent worthy of ruling cybertron, he is . So in the defeated state the autobots are he becomes the last threat to defeat
How did Shockwave help the main cast?
@@PerspectiveEnd as I said he kinda didn't he was supossed to be the role blitzwing had in five faces of darkness (know the quintessons were evil, turn against galvatron, need the help of rodimus)
I don't know why but seeing so much Springer is making me wanna get GDO Springer. Y'know, the deluxe one that was only a helicopter. :v
I am going to try and pick this guy up
There are links in the description if you want to.
I still need a prowl, ratchet, iron hide, and what I would give for a $200 masterpiece size unicorn to throw into my chug collection
Not even gonna edit the typo, because it’s honestly better than a unicron
What do you think of the rise of the Beast bumblebee design and what you think of the rise at the Beasts Big Bot design
Wait they were revealed.
And Optimus Prime was my favorite design from Bumblebee. Followed by Shatter.
I am not the type to collect an entire cast but I am the type "I must get this version of the character" . And i only have only 1 version of each character (if I can force myself not to buy another version of the same character I already have)
You have to force your self to not spend more money?
@@PerspectiveEnd Well sorta Cuz I have a separate budget for figures. But it's more like to force myself to save up space on the shelf
Best one ever
I'd tend to agree yeah, best 3P Springer.
2 springers in a row, neat
Indeed, but just two.
2:04 Difficult to make as an actual toy, but not impossible. (Remember unique toys?)
I don't think that UT figure looked all that good.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah, but at least they were able to make a transformation for non toy adaptation friendly bay designs (like Galvatron, if you can even call it that)
Question of the Video:
Let's see... I still need a Blaster (mine isn't in yet), Snaral, Swoop, Sludge, more Junkions, Alacons, Sunstreaker... and technically a Unicron, but I care way too much about scale... so that's never happening
To get a Unicron the correct size to even a legends collection, it'd need to be like the size of the moon.
@@PerspectiveEnd Yep.
Ain"t NOOOOOOBODY got cash for that
@@PerspectiveEnd as an aside: image trying to transform it?? Even just a building size Unicron, you would need a crane, and those ratchets would be beyond HELLLLLL!!!
I know this isn’t really relevant to the toy but I just realised that the wreckers springer, if you painted his face grey and made his shoulders face up would be near dead on colour layout to the IDW design
I think that the IDW versions color lay out is based on the OG toy.
The only characters I think I need to finish the 86 movie crew is the final Dinobots unless there is some I'm overlooking
You even got a Wheelie? And nice! Even I'm missing a bit more than that.
@@PerspectiveEnd it's the Titans Return one but far better then the *shudders* Grimlock accessory one
Scourge makes Cyclonus's Colors pop?
The iGear Sharkticons is a good way to get a squad.
What Haslab figure?
Cool review, I just want you to know on the 13th it's going to be my birthday!
Thank you very much, and Happy Birthday in 3 days!
Uh I need an Arcee, Springer, Blurr, Ultra Magnus, Dead Optimus Prime, Galvatron, Cyclnous, Hot Rod, and Scourge for an 86 collection
So you got a ways to go then.
@@PerspectiveEnd I have Blurr, Dead Optimus, and Cyclonus

I have this figure and I really love him.
Springer is a cool character
He is.
Isn't it funny that just yesterday I was considering to buy this figure which represents one of my favorite TFs characters?
Well did I convince you?
Yeah, for the Combiner most companies have already tried to do, no one's nailed it so far.
I have the JinBao OS KO and he's so good and cheap. Not cheap quality wise but price
This is so much better than Seige version
A true statement but not a very fair one.
all of them
So you've got a ways to go then.
Maybe a commander class unicron cause the haslab is big but one to play with
I dunno, I don't have 86 collection outside of Grimlock, so I probably need nothing. Maybe swoop.
Yeah that is a risk I was running asking that, not everyone is trying to get the 86 characters.
Good Morning
Are people doing a thing? Normally so many people don't wish me a good morning.
Anyways same to you.
An earth mode Ironhide. And a legends scale Scourge, kinda waiting for NA to make one after the stunner that was their legends scale Cyclonus.
To complete your 86 collection.
@@PerspectiveEnd yeah
TF source got me a thing in literally 2 days after ordering. ive heard many complaints about them for various reasons. ive yet to have any issues with them. only ordered a couple things from there though
lemontree revenge shockwave
TFC Nuclear Prime
Fans robot hero toy acoustic sound wave wave
just got shockwave and soundwave. these are the only 3pMps I have so far. soundwave wow the quality is crazy. ripped from the screen. love it man
I don’t hate this, but if I got another springer other then my siege one I would get the MMC version. I would of thought you would of went with that one. Also I always like to see your Patreon grow at the end of the video!
Bro got on a mewing streak between releases
I need a arcee and Cyclonus hoping that 86cee I good
She definitely looks to kick the crap out of the ER.
Basically Open and Play Big Spring with a better head.
Yeah, that's how I'd sum it up.
My 86 line consists of most of the SS figures they released
86 Springer is a good substitute for this
He's got better things to do tonight then face sculpt...
...wait didn't I do this joke already?
Indeed, it also doesn't make sense this time, because he spent the time to face sculpt.
