The mobile view page isn't what the person would see on instagram, it's what the person would see from your facebook shop section. I messed that explanation up but I think you need to set up that section anyways.
Sarah, thank you very much! I tried to build my shop for several months, and I always gave it up because the process was too complicated and there was not enough information for me. Now I understand everything, and I have my shop tied to Etsy, Perfect! Thank you very much and wish you a lots of sales!

Omg thank you for sharing this. The putting the shop name in the url part was my hang up and FB support was absolutely useless when it came to figuring out that error. Currently in the pending review stage which makes me hopeful!

thank you so much for the video ! I tried following all the steps but for some reason my shop on facebook says it's restricted and every time I try to get it approved nothing works. My facebook is a business account but there isn't much on there because I am a lot more active on my instagram, does that matter ? Omg thank you for this video!! I never thought I’d be able to have IG shopping so thank you!! One update since 6 mos ago is that when you copy the meta-tag to verify, you DO use the entire copied text, not just the text within the quotations. Thanks so much again!!!
You can download a spreadsheet of your items then upload it. it’s much easier then copying and pasting. Especially so if you have 50+ items like I do in one of my shops

I struggled with figuring out all this too. It was a bitch & I had to do it w NO REFERENCE bc all the "help" I found didn't appear on my screen. I just wanted to make sure etsy was compatible to the IG store bc I added my reg website & thought that was required but dnt pay for my site yet so no room for listings. Thx for this. This was super helpful! I did run into a snag. While all of my products are showing in the shop, the links take them to etsy etc., when I try to go back and tag my products it says "The website link for this product doesn't match the one you chose to use for instagram shopping. Update the product with a link from your website." Does anyone know where to resolve this? The shop is up and running. Just can't tag products.
Does somebody else had the issue your company has already activated instagram shopping but now you can't add a shop to your catalog to customize your layout in Instagram... It says this company is already added to a shop but it isn't.. My shop now only consists out of products but you can't find it in the shop search bar + I can't customize it. Please somebody help. Facebook is not contactable ofcourse :/

Hi Sarah, this is so helpful however I have followed all the stages but get tripped up when I try to set up my instagram shopping in instagram settings it tells me instagram in reviewing my account to make sure it meets the commerce eligibility requirements which usually takes about a week. Why a I being asked this i just sell handmade fabric accessories with nice prints on.Aghhhhh.

Does anyone know if you can preemptively create a link to an item in your Etsy shop before the item goes live on Etsy so you can tag items in a prescheduled post? My problem is that I do live 'drops' of collections every friday on my Etsy (and therefore my instagram shop), and the problem I am trying to overcome is being able to tag an item thats in my Etsy shop that's not live yet in an IG post that I have prescheduled. BUT to enter the item in the catalogue to tag in the post there has to be a link to the etsy shop. Does this make sense to anyone? haha does anyone know of a solution?

I only add my main items, it doesn't allow for digital items which is what I mostly have. I think you can do whatever you want, add them all if you want. I've noticed other brands just add their most popular.
Do you need to list a lot of inventory on FB? If you add only a few are you still able to tag your IG posts that you already have on IG and have them open up in Etsy?

At 1:36, after clicking "Next", I get a popup asking me to enter the URL for where I sell my items. I enter my Etsy shop URL, but get an error message: "Domain has already verified by another Business and can only be used by Instagram accounts that belong to this Business". Has this happened to anyone else??? It won't let me pass this point.
I did everything you said, and my page is bussines page... But for some unknown reason, Facebook is okay and you can see my listing, but instagram... Nope... Hey I have a question. Not sure if you are able to help but I did what you said about adding in my shop name to the URL so that I can tag my products and it worked but now it won’t direct to the Etsy website when they view it in my Instagram shop. It is saying the website isn’t secure and someone may be trying to impersonate my shop. When I change it back the link works but then I can’t tag my products so I don’t know what to do.

You have to make your products on Facebook anyway. That's how itt will show up on Instagram before it sends you to Etsy

did you enter the domain with 'www.etsy..' or 'shopname.etsy.com' because it has to be the second one

make sure you published them at that other page I showed where you see a preview of the shop on the right

If you are putting it in correctly, you may have to contact facebook to correct that error
