- Special Thanks to our sponsors 4Rivers Equipment for inviting TTWT to visit Colorado! We added Camso Tracks to our John Deere Gator 835M. Can it compete with a Snowcat in deep compacted snow? We try steep hills, deep snow, rough soil, etc.
Camso sponsored the tracks for this system.

Great video! You sold me on buying tracks. I’ve had my new JD835R for 6 weeks and I know what I’m buying next for it. I’ve been a snowmobiler for 25 years now but my body isn’t fairing so well with it! The tracks will keep me going with heat, cup holders and plenty of in cab storage for Scooby snacks. 😊
What was the price tag on these particular tracks? I think John Deere’s version was about $5400. BTW, the Bible verses are much appreciated, our world needs truth & grace more than ever.
Great Video. As a snowmobiler, this was fun to watch.
Great video Tim, looks like a lot of fun.
Congrats on the new Gator.
This was indeed LOTS of fun!
Thanks for watching.
That cool machine Tim I think that would be a great way to get back into snowmobiling with HEAT.
Yep. Only slower. It isn’t a speed demon. You saw max speed when I was chasing the snowcat.
@@TractorTimewithTim hmmm I’m your age I don’t need to go fast anymore. Lol
Obviously y'all had a blast together, good to see.
Great video. Looks like too much fun and it’s always better with a great guide. 😂
Wow, that was too much fun! What an impressive performance, but don’t leave home without the Yankum strap. I’ll bet Christy got a work out on the great video. Blessings to all.
Yea, specifically packed the yankum for this experience. Glad we did!
I am happy to see that you got a Yankum rope!!!!
Love it!
You guys have way too much fun 😂😂😂.
What a fun video :) Very enjoyable...thanks Tim and friends.
Thanks! We thought it was fun too. Nice to have a ‘jovial’ video once in awhile!
My neck of the woods. I spend a lot of time in steamboat in the winter. Drive right by there on the way home to Cheyenne.
Yep!
Wow that looks like fun !
Cushman trackster for the win!
lol Tim almost tips over the Gator🤣
I had tracks on my polaris atv. It was impressive what they would go thru.
2 nice vehicles, especially Gator on tracks
This looks FUN.!!!😁
Yankum ropes...have you used those for a while? Might look at getting one or two for use here....seeing they are kinetic and built for pulling someone out.
New partner.
"I don't think so Tim" 🤣
I was impressed with how well the 835R did with the tracks. Not sure if your Gator is still out here in Colorado but if you come back to play with it, let me know. I’d love to show you how my Gator RSX 860M performs.
It is still there…up on the Mountain.
wide tracks is where its at!!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
What a fun video.
Someday I hope to be able to afford one of them 🙂
"We try steel hills" typo!
What was Ryan's backup plan if Sarge hadn't been able to effect the river rescue?
What plans do you have for the tracks back in Indiana? Not much for snow or off road hills.
Fixed.
Not planning to bring to Indiana.
It would be interesting to measure and compare track area. I suspect the Snowcat has the advantage. It has 2.5 times the weight, but I am estimating 4 times the track area.
Yes, loosely discussed in the video.
Thing is those tracks don't appear to be solid like they are on the Gator. They look to be the open ladder type. So you get more bite, but a higher ground PSI.
now is this your second gator now? or is the other one for sale somewhere?how many hours are on the old one by the way?😁
We have two right now…one in Indiana, one in Colorado. I think 130 hrs or so on Indiana one.
I want a Gator but not sure I would ever use the tracks in Indiana.
Agreed..but I wanted to try them and see how they performed. Hopefully this video was helpful for you to see the same thing.
So do they have a youtube channel?
Camso? Or Ryan & Hanna?
I was wondering the samething thing? I was a little confused on who these people were, do they own a dealer? other youtube chanel? You referenced another video but I dont remember them
Yea, a bit confusing, for sure.
The confusion is based on timing unfortunately.
Ryan and Hannah are part of the former 4Rivers Equipment Ag John Deere dealership in Colorado.
4Rivers Ag division is merging with 21st Century Equipment.
We have been working with 4Rivers for more than a year now with several visits and videos from CO.
Make sense now?
@@TractorTimewithTim Could you give us a link to their channel?
Tim you strike me as a man that's a Dog Faced Pony Soldier.
The tracks on the Gator are nice, but the Snowcat wins me over. Mostly because I remember various Alistair MacLean stories with Snowcats when I was a kid and the imagery always stuck with me :). Were those bear tracks at 4:37?
Just my opinion idk if anyone said it not being rude but the rope you gatta leave slack and then go for it not to get it right then pull.
Too much fun!!!!
How they compare do pushing snow
Tim you need to explain to your buddy what a snatch rope is and how to use them.
That was a snatch rope. Look up yankum rope. Good stuff.
LETS GET STARTED
When your buddy is ready to sell that Snowcat, drop me a message. I need that model cat here in Alaska.
The gator is for sale.
I'm thinking for where you're trying to go, you need a Sherp.
Hard to believe the snow is 5 foot deep when it’s gravel right next to you.
Ya know, winds move snow. It doesn't end up at a uniform depth. Good grief.
@@TractorTimewithTim
Okay okay, no need to overreact! Just saying, anyone can claim anything these days.
No
So you're ine of those who screw up the trails during mud season?
We stayed on Ryan’s private property.
Farming? Tractors?😢
Yep. Just something a bit different. Jovial, fun, entertaining. Relax and enjoy it.
