Thank you, really trying hard to get better with the editing stuff - so hard to get what I have in my head to come together on the computer! I appreciate the kind words :)

Like others mentioned, I'd fog the cylinders, just to make sure they have a coating on them. But otherwise, love the build! Looking forward to the end result!

Thanks man - I’m pretty excited about it. Really hope it works!
Any ideas on what product to use to fog the cylinders?

@thejourneyretold I've used the Stabil brand before. I actually used it to loosen up a stuck piston, but it worked good and seemed to have provided decent coverage.

@JJensen28 oh dang I didn’t know they made a fog kit - I’ll have to check it out thank you. Just don’t wanna waste a perfectly good engine that I can use as a sore for the racecar

STP fogging oil works great .

When your tig welding you need to grind your tungsten on a bench grinder that hasn’t been used for another metal (or the clean side of the wheel). Using a drill to spin your tungsten helps a lot.

Thank you for the advice! Really appreciate all the help I can get! My dad has a grinder like that. I really want to just get one of those dedicated tungsten grinders. It always amazes me how you can MiG weld the dirties stuff, but Tig welding needs to be clean like you’re in a science lab! lol I’ve been slowly getting better tho!

A motor oil formulator where I work told me to store any seasonal engine with fresh oil. Goal is to remove condensation and crud before storing.

Good advice! I’ll be sure to do an oil change. 😎👍🏻

@@jamesmalloy9626I have only had a few liter bikes (R1 and GSXR’s). Absolutely love them - BUT I’ve been racing motocross for 30 years and I’m WAY too comfy on 2 wheels so rather than go to jail or become a skid mark, I figured I’d better sell them. lol I do REALLY want to ride a turbo hayabusa tho just to see what it’s like to hold on to!

@MarcoFranceschiGoo you and me both - I just hope it works! Getting the sprocket adapter stuff is taking me forever to machine, so next video is probably another 7-10 days away.

Fogging oil on everything do not wrap it with saran wrap, plug any holes with paper towels, and put it somewhere. Mice can’t get to it saran wrap will make it sweat and rust.

    • @thejourneyretold
