Just so others know, it's a sonofabitch cranking it closed with the allen wrench. Use vice grip pliers to hold the allen wrench and give yourself some torque. Then give yourself a good 15-20 minutes to get it closed based on how far back the glass is. Good luck!

The front glass on my X3 sunroof somehow slipped over the back glass and is stuck open. Fun times. Looking for videos on that and I wound up here. This is good info in case I need it though.

I don't know on that model but it is unlikely they have moved it. If there is a lump there the motor will be there
should be the same process. remove over head light console. you'll see the motor and the manual wind socket.

On my E83 the rear sun roof is stuck tilted open. Is it possible to manually close it or fix this?

@@hassonwilson intermittently push the sunroof close button forward and it will close bit by bit.
YES the shade motor is under the shark fin. above the headliner. uses a 4mm hex bit just like the sunroof
