There is literally a clip of von describing the music video frame by frame, he basically directed it.

Yeah it's at the end of the music video lol
@JAY P Ross does videos over other people's videos too. Like totally unessesary videos. The original videos the other people made were good enough
I saw the "demon" in Von when I watched the KI documentary and he really got the producers to believe he was crushing on KI. Mans was trying to set her up and minpulated everything. Yeah I hear young that! It was making me proper uneasy man, getting snake vibes off that, manipulating the narrative around murders with a smile on his face...the streets are grimy.
Same people that tell ya "don't paint Von in a negative light" are the same folks who have their hand on the phone ready to call the police if they walk past anyone like Von. Grow up in that nice-life-bubble and all this makes for an interesting narrative to follow like a favorite soap opera.
You gotta understand people say that actually know how that life is von had no choice but to kill because if he didnt then they was gonna kill him and they already killed his closest homies but when it came to people he loved and that loved him he always showed love
@@_NBGDT I don't where you're coming from with that; I was just commenting on the hypocrisy in it all. All that nonsense you just said is nothing but a justification for this sad sewer of a situation. Fuck Von. He isn't anything to look up to. Murdering his own people, over shit they don't own. Fuck all that "its the only way" BS. A real man would make his own way. Granted he probably never had a chance because the older generations were pushing that bullshit in his head from the time he took his first breath. It don't take anything to do what these kids do; then they call themselves soldiers. Worst of all is how its celebrated. What did he contribute to the world? Maybe a few raps about the same old cliched shit.

Ross, I really appreciate that you make a point of refuting people who say you're attempting to "paint a negative picture" of guys like Von. Yes, some rappers get tarred with a brush that they absolutely shouldn't be. I love Hip Hop in all it's forms and I HATE when rappers get profiled or targeted as a bad person simply because of the artform with which they choose to express themselves. HOWEVER, when it comes to guys like Von, Durk, 69, I'll even throw some guys like Ace, Foolio and Big Key in there, you can't rap about super specific criminal activities, be as disrespectful and demonic as possible, and then turn around and say people have the wrong idea about you. It's like "Nigga, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO TOLD US ALL THIS SHIT!!! You can't portray an image and then get mad when people believe you. My advice to these young rappers, whether you're involved in street shit or not it ain't for me to judge, but DON'T RAP ABOUT SPECIFIC CRIMES AND DETAILS OF SAID CRIME. GENERALIZE!!!
It really annoys me how trap lore ross speaks in this video. I really hate his tone abt this.
Von never said niggas got the wrong idea lol he’s said multiple times that he is a gangsta , he ain’t the one , etc . he would’ve never named his songs Demon or Don’t Want To Be Me if it wasn’t true 🤷🏽♂️

He himself once said "if the internet was right, I would be in jail."
At least 3-4 he was involved with.
The cases are out there and the paper work is there but 7? He himself played with the internet a lot.
The 3-4 he was involved with have certain evidence pointing to him including the one who put him in jail.
None of them was all by himself either.
Either way I'm pretty sure he wanted the legend of him being a killer to continue if he ever died, it really looks like he wanted to be considered real forever.

@@dahlizz99 he was though. This are his own words, you can literally search him speaking about the 7 bodies stuff.
He had the one he committed with the other dude that has paper work, he has the one with KI her friend literally told people it was Von without a shadow of a doubt and the police already believed it was him. I give him 1-2 more just because his whole face in the Chicago crime book as a teen, that book is full of people who have committed around the same number of murders and then arrested who are way older than him. He capped a lot but that doesn't mean he wasn't real about it. You can still lie a bit and still be real with yourself.
@@ONI-GAMI pretty sure about Modell too to get back at Wooski for Patoon, it was his cousin. We're not the law here, we don't have to prove everything with witnesses and evidence to get him convicted. Since people around him that we've never heard of has numbers like that he wouldn't just end up top dogg on that
Always felt like Von was just waiting for his past to catch up with him but ended up dying before it could happen
fr its prob why he was so reckless
The fact that he could experience deep grief over the loss of White White, yet not make the connection that those opps have people who feel that same level of grief for their own loss is concerning.

Welcome to Oblock is absolute gold wether he had passed or not. Amazing.
Welcome to oblock came out when he was alive
von had his masters when he died, so what if his family continues to eat when he’s not here?
exactly.
I think it's just that this song shows a less then wholesome image of von. His estate/friends are trying to act like von was a saint. And at the same time they're releasing videos for songs like "demon". They like to negatively portrait anyone that talks about the things von did, as if they're just sterotyping him. But the truth is, we only know so much about Von's dark past BECAUSE of Von. He tells on himself more than a few times. So it was more that releasing the MV for this specific song, doesn't do Von any favors. And paints him in a less than good light. And that doing so just seems like greed.
Honestly I've grown disillusioned with a lotof people around Von. Especially all the clout chasing stunts after his death, and the lack of any real action. No one's legit riden for Von. They're all too busy turning his death into a clown circus. So its not all that surprising to me they'd release MV to songs that don't help Von's image.
Those are only people who are supposed to eat from it, his literally flesh and blood family.

People don't think about it, but Malcolm Stuckey was a regular dude who they shot for looking wrong in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nobody deserves to die, but Von was always putting that energy out there. RIP to all the fallen.
Wasn't he actually a GD? Because pretty sure he had some gang afflilation. I don't really think there's such a thing as "innocent" when you're involved in any gang. And often it's kill or be killed. If von hadn't killed him, perhaps he would've killed von. It's a fucked situation and there really is no easy solution.
@@NeiasaurusCreations I wouldn't doubt it but that wasn't why he was killed. It was a petty murder because bro always had this lil tendency where he would stare at people. I know people like that, and they usually don't mean offense but Von n dude probably thought he was on opp shit. It was undeserved and unjustified. A lot of people still hurting to this day.
@@40k34 Well aren't all murders undeserved and unjustified really? Taking the life of another human in pretty much most contexts outside of war, or immediate self-defense is unjustified. Von saw a lot of people he cared about killed, and had the mentality of shoot first, ask later. It probably is the only reason he survived the war he was in. Does it make it right? No. But I can't say if a dude is a GD, an opp of Von, that it was random. Von really wasn't playing with his opps. And his opps weren't playing with him, either. One wrong move could've been his own end, and he knew it. I feel it's easy for us to judge him when we're not in his situation, but it'd be a lot harder for us to make different choices if we had lived his life and the situation he was in. So while murder, in general, isn't really a good thing, I can't help but feel bad for all people who lost their way in that shit.

Would love to see you do a video on the growing Ghanaian drill scene. Yaw TOG seems to be at the top.
Jesus Christ with this “team” narrative, this man made this piece of art and would’ve obviously wanted it to be released regardless of if he was alive or not. Are they supposed to start lying and acting like he was an angel just because he died? Don’t you think this is exactly what he would’ve wanted? It’s not always about the “team” trying to extract money from a dead man, I hate this new idea that when you die your work is supposed to die too and anything you were working on can never see the light of day because it’s “your team exploiting you” Lame af
Since when is it a new idea lol? Industry heads have been putting put posthumous records forever and people have always complained about it. Now just more than ever. Also, i completely agree with the take of artists being deified after they die, as if they were good people. Its a surface level examination of the artist the fan thinks they care about. However, if you understand the socioeconomic, political, and sometimes even religious contexts that these people were raised and living in, saying someone is “no angel” becomes extremely subjective. People who live in these circumstances are mostly victims of a centuries long war against their humanity. A war that continues as we type. To think these rappers are inherently bad people is equivalent to thinking that my ancestors, native americans, like squanto, are also bad people because they did bad things. No. They did what they were shown to survive and prosper in a society almost completely rigged against them.
Sorry for the long thing but honestly this is just a way too nuanced issue, and I feel TLR and so much of hip hops fan base misunderstands this basic reality.
Especially now that he's dead, there's literally no response not to release it...
I mean i definitely get what he's trying to say but Von had released the song before he died so it doesn't make a difference and there are numerous songs out where he snitches on himself more

Murder trials, especially in major cities take a dramatically long time to process. Prosecutors usually try to wait until the defendant cracks and pleas out and do so by asking for extensions for many trial processes like getting discovery, grand jury, jury selection, trial prep, etc. 50s case is not special or targeted based on who he is.
It's been 10 years. That's not normal. Also there's a constitutional right to a speedy trial which is clearly being violated.
