Some are here for Mean Girls.
Others here for Mortal Kombat.
Some for hackers? Others for CKY2K... all I know is this song is a banger 🔥💕
I remember it for the best comedown after a big night out. Ze Best‼️ 👌
HACK THE PLANET
LIUUUUUUUU!!
I'm here because this is my favorite song title of all time.
And some of us are here because we remember coming down in a chill space to this track in the 90s and loving orbital for the fact they done amazing music ... Aaaaannnndd breathe.....
feels like the earth breathing - so good!
The VERY first time i heard this song was at the end of the Mortal Kombat movie as a kid!
Btw, it's May 2024! Who's with me!?
I’m with yah !
Was there from the first time 😊
i was there too brother
HACKERS for me ;)
i first heard it on Hackers as a kid
This track is spiritual
This song is home.
when the world ends, i hope this is the song that plays as the credits roll.
You should be hearing it soon.
thingfish i don’t like to think that, but i can’t say for sure if you’re wrong
Hilarious! 😆
Well if it played it save the world by frequency physics so hopefully that is just as meaningful for a good ending to what has been.
I'm talking about the end of the world on my channel. Go watch & subscribe.
For me this is what the 90's techno, rave, house (electronic music) was all about. Takes you to another place.
Fuckin A Mike....good times
Still gives me goosebumps.
... 100%. I miss those days.
Because it wasnt computerised then. Today just computer lol
If 1990's was a underground summer of love this record Just sums it up The Days we danced as the Sun Raise up
This song makes me think of blousy silk shirts on the dancefloor, denim miniskirts, gelled hair, wrap around sunglasses, wet pavement, and freedom.
- You just had to have been there to know what I'm talking about.
I love it that this song was in two movies. One about a bunch of soulless monsters intent on destroying one another, and the other movies one where Goro is punched in the balls.
Lmao best comment
I'll still never understand how Goro got a flawless victory after that.
Wherever you heard this…come home again.
Best trance song ever. Still listening while traveling into 2024.
Liu Kang brought me here.
"Let's go home."
M O R T A L K O M B A T
I love MORTAL KOMBAT. AND I agree with you. Liu kang is my Friend. ❤
me too:)
"Go in peace, my brother."
You humans are SO unpredictable.
a guy will play this on his walkman in the year 2232 as he finally flies back home from mars.
Perhaps Arnie as Doug Quaid?
Ironically that's something Gianni da Vinci would do
Chan Kang: "I knew you'd come."
Liu Kang: "Chan."
Chan Kang: "One day, we will be reunited. But until then, my spirit will always be with you. Go in peace, my brother."
😢
One day, we will be reunited... my lovely father
Probably the greatest electronic tune of all time. I grew up listening to this in the early 90s and still listen to it till this day
From the greatest electronic band of all time
bold claim, but totally fair nominee only snobs will dislike
@@PlightOfTheInnovatorI don't know about that one. I don't even like it when people try to suggest the Beatles for that one.
@@plasticwrapcharlie - I honestly believe they are. If you stack up the very best tracks from Orbital's back catalogue I don't think any other electric band comes close. That's not saying I believe everything they've done is brilliant, they've done some stinkers.
Try wubble U - petal..
One day we will be together again.
But until then my spirit is always with you.
Go in peace my brother.
RIP lil Kang 😭
RIP Chan
It's been roughly a year since we lost our dog. Listening to this song helped me to grieve, though I couldn't really listen to it again until today. Feels refreshing to know there's no tears left, you know?
Hope you find the dog soon
@@BLACULA-Skeewoah I meant that she died.
So sorry for your loss..🖤🖤
It was 95.. I was the only black kid in VA who wore jncos. So of course I gravitated towards Hackers.. and the very moment I heard this. I knew I’d be listening to it 25 years later. I teared up as a pre teen in theaters as this played during Liu Kang saying goodbye to his brother. In my late teens as soon as mp3s and Limewire was a thing. This is the first song I downloaded. Then in my 20s I took a chance and saw this goofy movie called Mean Girls in theaters... and guess what? This played at the end... and I smiled and felt old. Sigh. I’ll play this at my funeral. We’re old, ppl. We are generation x. ... no matter what the “charts” say.... keep your head up, my peers. Teach your kids to hack the planet. Who knew we’d need too? Lmao. Me? I’ll never be married. I’ll never have kids. I watched too much Wonder Years and expect fairy tales out of the cesspool that is life. Stay safe, people. Look at all we been through from 1995-2020...
My brother. We had NO IDEA
I feel you! 💪🏾
The first shall be last and the last shall be first
what a fantastic emotional song.. and a song that defined a genre ! so nostalgic right now .
PLUR
Peace Love Unity Respect, I haven't heard that in a long time. PLUR to you too!
PLUR... That takes me back!
One day, We will be reunited. Until then, my spirit will always be with you. Go in peace, My brother.
CKY2K introduce me to this song, I’ve never stop listening to it when I’m feeling overwhelmed or need a reboot on my life. May this track bring you peace internet people.
my god, i almost cried with nostalgia
It reminded me when my brother and I played video games and watched movies
The mortal kombat movie brought me here💯💯💯💯💯😭❤
Then u lost so much😅
My kids goes to sleep with this song every night cause when they were babies all I played was 90s techno and house and this was one of the song that put to sleep like angles 😎
They are going to be big!
Kids raised with techno/house/trance have good personality.
That's so sweet and wonderful. Sweet dreams sweet babies...
Right angle or isosceles?
My spirit will ALWAYS be with you MA BROTHER…. 💔💔 halcyon and ON AND ON AND ON…. oh, to be 26 again…‼️
“One day we will be reunited, until then… my spirit will always be with you”🥲
The fact that this is from '93 is staggering
Why?
It will always sound brand new
@@YouAwakeYet because in 1993, most people were into hair metal and 80s pop, hip hop was barely on people's radar past 8 ball jackets and gangsta rap was still only really heard by actual gangstas and hadn't hit mainstream yet. Hell I think 1993 is pre Tipper Gore and Motley Crue and the while "parental advisory explicit lyrics" thing. Rarely do I even think of techno as existing before Nirvana - except in super experimental versions.
But I also legit was shocked to realize this is from 1993, too. I listened to it in like 1998-1999 and it was still going, still showing up in big film soundtracks, still slapped.
Actually, this is a remix of original halcyon track.
@@coyo7e There was already an established big niche for electronic music in the early 90's as there were already plenty of synths available at the time. At least in Europe, I guess, since Kraftwerk started in 1970. Late 90's was just the big boom since bands like Daft Punk made their debut.
Takes me away to another dimension when I listen to this masterpiece
The Girls: Mean Girls!
The Boys: Mortal Kombat!
I absolutely love the beginning of this song, it's so beautiful and amazing. This track is timeless ❤️
Cyberpunk Music is Heavenly 😍
@@tickedoffnow i wouldn't call this cyber punk in any way. It's textbook 90s trance.
Yes it is.
all good house music is
They should've kept it beautiful like at the beginning

Woooh this takes me back, fantastic! Memories!
and im back in high school, a friday night, just finished soccer practice then picking up my friends in my 1988 chevy celebrity, to Blockbuster for some movie rentals, then back to the house for a session of listening to this CD on a 1990s hi fi system. glory days so simple yet connected to people without an IP address and bandwidth
You spoke 90s nostalgia all the way with that sentiment
This song brings me back to being a kid in the 90’s, my favorite movies are hackers and mortal kombat and this song is in both. It brings me some sort of peace and comforts me.
This track makes my cry with happiness all the time
im here too, lets go home
"I knew you'd come".
I was 13 in 1995 when this song started the title sequence for the movie Hackers. That movie made me want to be a hacker so bad that 8 years later I became what is now called a CEH, or certified Ethical Hacker, back then I was called a White Hat. I did that for 15 years until I wanted to do something else. This song is so integrated into who I became I will always love it.
Been listening to techno since i was 13. 39 now. This song still is in my top 2
Number 1?
Congratulations! You finally found that one song from Mortal Kombat! 🎉
Mortal Combat and Mean Girls! Both movies had this song playing for their endings.
20 yrs thinking this was Traci Lords, I have lived a lie! Glad I found it.
😅we didn't need to find this song via movie or series lol😅 it's in our genetics and conciseness as we grew up with this😊
I love this song. I haven't heard it in over 20 years. Where has the time gone😭😭
It's only a memory now.
i miss those days too,i was only 9 when this was released..

This song will absolutely transcend Time and Space for This is the song that represents and describes our generation the best generation of our time!!! Absolutely Awesome 😎
I think of the ending of Mortal Kombat when I hear this. I love this song.
Thank You.
I loved this song thanks to Mortal Kombat.
I remember the 90’s like it’s happening now and I miss so much the time we had without all of this we have today.. This is an amazing song. I used to even sleep with it because of Liu Kang’s scene. REPEAT
I alsow remember that scene from Mortal Kombat with that song. Great time I'm now in 90's back and I alsow used that to sleep with it.
We just miss being young.
Agreed.
It was also played on mean girls at the very end of the movie was well
Some of us are here from Mortal Kombat, some of us from Mean Girls and some of us from The Beach. Even 20+ years after this song came out, still a banger in 2024!
Hackers (1995)
One day, we will be reunited.
But until then, my spirit will always be with you.
Go in peace my brother~
:')
I love watching people hear this song for the first time. Such a serene and beautiful opening to the song. You think you know where it is going. And then the baseline drops and changes the entire dynamic of the song. It goes from peaceful and serene to powerful and beautiful. It’s such a cool thing to see the thrilled surprise on people’s faces when it makes that change.
I just heard it for the first time today at work. While I could tell it was an older song at first, I did not expect it to change into something so timeless. It's a beautiful song.
I just heard this song for the first time today and I can tell you it was wonderful.
Let’s go home..
Jarod Jones I knew you’d come

I heard this song over 15 years ago and was hooked but forgot about it. I found it again...in a video game review !🤣😁
1996: Memories of my sister and I driving to the movies in high school, discman in my lap , cassette adapter attached, and this blaring through the speakers. 😁
Never has a song been better to fall asleep to
A BEAUTIFUL SONG FOR SB FROM MK.
THE 1ST MK MOVIE BROUGHT ME HERE.
This songs still stands prominently in the soundtrack of my life. Lost track of how many times I would go to sleep with my lightweight headphones on, and this playing softly on repeat. Still have the Orbital 2 CD as part of my collection.
even a 20min version would be too short, what a blissful, hypnotic aural delight to visualise the sun rising on the south china sea at the backyard pub, haad rin, koh pha-ngan back in 94' oh yes, life was beautiful :)
Here from mean girls ❤ this is the coolest song ever so nostalgic
I love this song so much. Can't stop playing it. Loved techno music since I was younger. And it is also featured in my favorite movie. I love the MK movie that was made in 1995. Total nostalgia.
I totally agree with you 👍
MK movie overall had awesome techno music
Dream machine
I learned today that this song was released the year I was born, and yet I feel so attached to it from seeing it as a young child in Hackers. Time is so strange, and I'm still so glad this song was made and that I get to listen to it again. Brings me back.
I was thinking of the same movie, it’s the first time back then that I hear this song. And one of the best quotes ( hack the planet) 🤜

Awesome song! Mortal Kombat and Hackers had this! You know the song is good when it's in 2 movies!
Three! Mortal Kombat and Hackers (in the same year, no less), and Mean Girls.
Hackers that's where I first heard it
Mortal Kombat, Mean Girls, Camp 2 Kill You, Hackers, Teen Spirit...
Years ago, walking holiday in the Lake District..I can smell my sweaty socks in my tent... the dappled sun is shining on the canvas...I can smell last night's beany toast tea still inside my tent...the river I've walked along is hissing and a cool breeze makes me want to trap this moment in time......strange how a tune can bring back tastes feelings and long forgotten events.

This sounds like warm, glowing sunshine
ive known this song for over 20 years because of the movie mean girls and just decided to search it up lol this brings back memories of being a kid, the part from 1:45-2:30 is the best part I think

Thanks....i wasn't trying to remember all the good in my childhood. Miss how everything was new and I had no clue and my life was great. I didn't need to cry for an hour....thank you for reminding me what happiness felt like.
I'm a teenager, and I remember this from my childhood. It was during a time where my father showed me everything he came to love when he was in high school. I'm about to graduate next year, and I still enjoy this timeless banger!

De School 2016 - 2024
“School used to be like a shark tank but now I can just float. Finally girl world was at peace.”
The movie I associate with this song the most is Hackers.
Hackers and Mortal Kombat sure had a good soundtrack setlist.
the wonky angle brought me here and he did the right thing
Where are you going next?
I somehow lucked into purchasing this Orbital record on CD when I was ~13 years old, and this track has stuck with me my entire life. It's a beautiful coincidence, because every time I hear it, it brings me back to my early teenage years. I feel very fortunate to associate this track with such a peaceful time in my life.
Absolute perfection 💖👌
Thanks mortal Kombat for introducing me to this when I saw movie twice in theaters at 13
When the time comes, I hope this can lead me through the tunnel to the light...
