This looks very similar to the 1400 SL, but the 1400 is a monoaural version. The rest of this looks almost identical to the 1400. If anyone had a 2400 they could likely grab parts from a 1400 and they'd be interchangable.
I have the 1400 SL and it really is a brilliant little radio. I do have all the knobs and switches on mine :)

    Good afternoon
I have a Grundig Satellit 2400 radio, by pressing AM you can hear the frequencies well. When I change the upper button to FM, the frequency 389.5* appears and I cannot modify it to MHZ, what could it be?
The rest of the khz frequencies work fine.
    thank you.

Abouth the switches, i had the same idea to make em on a 3d-printer or a resineprinter. To bad, i do not have the skills to design them in FreeCad or some similar 3D design programs. Maybe, there are some good designers here who would be capable of designing them.

I have one of these radios and it's in very good condition cosmetically, however, I'm unable to receive anything on Shortwave bands 2 to 6, any chance you could take a look at it??

I'm afraid I am not able to do this, but from what you say , SW2-6 are the only bands where double conversion takes place so I would be looking at the 2 MHz converter stage first.

sie haben über dem knopf für Kanal 2 bis 6 einen Umschaltknopf, den sie erst auf ....2 bis 6.... umschalten müssen, sonst hören sie da nichts, das Problem hatte ich auch vergessen, man denkt nicht immer daran.

Great videos.I'm curious about finding replacement parts for your projects. How difficult are they to source ?

If you hunt around the internet you will usually find the electronic components required, however some parts like valves (tubes) can be difficult and expensive. The chip required for this project was ordered 2 weeks ago but a reply came that it was not in fact available, so I have found 2 other sources for this and hope that at least one will be successful.

I wonder why someone has not tried to replace the guts of the radio with a Texas Instruments DSP processor and firmware so high school maths can be used to do the signal processing.

Nice, is there a way to make a good scan of those schematic pages? All i have are bad scans. I've had once those schematics, but lost them over time by moving to other places. Thx :)

There are good schematic drawings on the web site www.radiomuseum.org/r/grundig_satellit_2400.html

@@rodsradios Yes, they have, only problem is, you can't realy download them unless you upload schematics or pictures. I am member of that website, but it is a hassle to get some schematics.
