It is a fungus that grows on the outside of the fish. It can grow on their scales, fins, mouth, etc. It is pretty severe on some fish. It is in most of the lakes in northeast Texas and northwest Louisiana, including but not limited to LOP, Lake Fork, and Lake Cypress Springs. I see it on Toledo Bend a lot. Love to watch your videos. Glad you got to make it down to my neck of the woods.
Hey Mat if you dont mind showing or if you could show on a map what part of the lake did you fish I have been there once I hired a guide and caught some nice fish and would like to go back with my own boat. Thanks for the great videos.
During the cold season Between Johnson Creek and the Dam will be full of boats. Either main lake or just To the right of Johnson Creek in the timber. Once the fish start moving in spring Hwy 155 Bridge will be full of boats
Bruise is likely boat rash.....boat flipping fish on carpet, then throwing it back with the slimecoat removed. Seen it for years on Fork with bass, and now starting to see it more often with crappie.
@@3poundCrappiefishing if you will pull your transducer out of the water and rub the film off it and put it back in while its still on it will clear up immediately
Limit is 25 and from Nov. sometime to End of Feb you have to keep all Crappie due to them coming up from the deep water they will not survive release. Only a few lakes down here have that regulation of keeping fish.
I watched Asleep at the Reels video the other day. Nice guest appearance! Looks like a fun trip!
Chris is a great guy. Hope all is well👍

How fast will your boat run?

The Cormorant birds mess those fish up. Wish we could get rid of them!
do you have to quit fishing after you catch your 25?
