These are sooooo beautiful Ms. Teresa. The colors are so soothing and utterly stunning. I am going to try this with my daughter. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and pouring inspiration into the world. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Teresa! I must be getting better at this. After seeing your posts on social media, I was thinking about how you did it. I pretty much nailed it (in my head). Now to try it on paper
I love these waves you have been paintings you have been doing....they look wonderful 💜💙❤️💜💙❤️....I actually started one a HUGE one like this on a full sheet of sanded pastel paper, and I have half finished it, but in pastel I still so much more layering to do ...one day I will get around the finishing it but in the meantime I will try one like this in ink...I now have my new S-ink paper, the other paper I have there is no way I could ever do this as soon as I touch a brush to the “plastic ink paper” it lifts off the top layer, no matter how light the touch is and it’s 300 gsm ! .....Thanks for the tip on the spraying to seal.....you wouldn’t think it would make a difference...sorry you had a ruined painting from being unaware 😢 Thanks for sharing this Teresa ! ❤️❤️❤️😘🌊🌊🎨🖌xo
I love it. I was the one who asked on FB for a video. Did not even realize I already subscribe to your channel. LOL. Of course I love your work. Great tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks so much I'm glad to enjoy my tutorials, you may like to try the craft plastic paper that comes in squares and use a round mat to frame it. 🖌🎨🏝🌊⛵🌤
Teresa Kovalak I cut a 4” circle out of graphix plastic, used the trex inks, looks ok but I definitely need practice. I also dropped green inks in resin and they made dendrites😊
Way cool, first time seeing alcohol ink used this way. I always pour it drop by drop to see what I get, adding blending solution or 99% alcohol. Your painting is fantastic. Tfs
Thanks so much I'm glad you enjoy my tutorials, you could also use the craft plastic paper it comes in squares but you can always put a round mat on it.🖌🎨🏝🌊⛵🌤
Thank you for how beautiful this is and for not saying ISOPROPYL in front of alcohol 1 million times. How is the Nara vs Yupo? I find my colors are not as bright on Yupo. I found an old pack of those plastic clear and white cutting boards and that was awesome to play on and they are big so with the Tim holtz scissors I cut them in to different sizes. Thanks as usual for these tuts. I just did the palm tree one yesterday and it was ok. I need to play a little more before I’m happy with the outcome. And just for reference because I used to boogie board, surf (Hawaii girl) when it makes the curve or pipe it’s very soft and clear, like light blue ice and with sand at the very beginning. All the rest of the water is all the blues but that pipe is just clear and beautiful. I love everything you do and I can’t wait to watch this over again and then try it.
Super awsome Thank you so much for sharing your story with me,😊 How amazing to be able to boogie board....🏄♀️🌊 And to be a Hawaiian girl🧜♀️ 🌊super awesome.💟💟💟
Have used Kumar on my alcohol ceramic tiles without problems. As matter of fact it was recommended by art companies for use on alcohol inks. Wonder if just that brand is an issue. Worked on brea reese, tim holtz, aet company without problems.
Yes it is the brand that I was using the T-Rexinks does not work the same as ranger, if you look at my other to Tutorials you will see that I use ranger with kamar varnish and uv resistant made by krylon. 🖌🎨
That’s so cool! Loved watching this one. I need to order some of this paper. But may try it on a square piece. Thanks so much for doing this. Sure wish I was on a beach today! Still cold here. Spring is coming!
You can leave it a square or you can cut the square into a circle, and if you don't want to do that then paint the edges black...🖌🎨 Hope this helps.🌤🌊🏝⛱🍹
I enjoyed doing this with you! Tyfs! New sub ❤️ Regarding the sealing process.. I'm new and just getting my sealers in and I'm using pinata inks right now. Is the step you mentioned unique to the trex ink? My plan was to do the kamar varnish and then the uv archival spray. I'll definitely do a test piece first but I'm just clarifying that that tip was specifically for the trex inks.
Thanks so much I'm so glad you enjoyed my tutorial, 🖌🎨 If you are using the T Rex inks then you need to use the sealer that I told you to...Otherwise with Pinatainks or Ranger inks the sealer that you're going to be using as just fine.🌊🌤🏝 Hope this helps.😉
ha ha I was copying one of your tutorials as you were making a new one for us. Thanks so much for the OCEAN WAVE tutorial It is great! I'll try it tonight. Question: can you use the new kind of UV protectant on all types of alcohol ink substrates?

So soothing to watch and hear you paint this! It's Stunning!
I'm new to alcohol inks, so I've never sealed any yet. Guess I need to think about that.
I used to use a different sealer, now I am only using UV ARCHIVAL made by Krylon.🖌🎨

Annette Gay try it on a large or small white tile. I did it first on the tile then the paper
Lovely! If you did have to do this on a square piece of paper, how to you finish the corners?
You can leave it a square or you can cut the square into a circle, and if you don't want to do that then paint the edges black...🖌🎨 Hope this helps.🌤🌊🏝⛱🍹

I have only tried it on the trexinks, I plan to use the the ranger inks but I will try it 1st on a practice peace.🖌🎨
Will you frame these? They're beautiful.
Yes I will use a round mat and a square frame.🖌🎨🏝⛵🌤
What varnish should I use for Tim Holtz inks? Thanks
I am so glad you enjoyed the tutorial 🖌🎨 the spray sealer that I use is, UV ARCHIVAL made by Krylon. Hope you have a great holiday.🙂
How long do you wait before you seal?
