I have been refreshing your UA-cam channel every 5 minutes for the last two weeks. This rocks man, can't wait to dig into it!!! You have a great way of doing this. My only advice would be to possibly slow down on some of the transitions, as it's been difficult for me to fully grasp. I have to rewind several times, BUT - your content is GOLD. Thank you!
Lol. Thanks for waiting. Also, thanks for the tip. I'm used to watching tutorials at x1.5 speed so I tend to be a little fast when explaining stuff but I'm trying out a new recording method in my next video. It should be slower paced.
Followed the 3 videos. Enjoyed how quick they were compared to other tutorial videos and also the content is spot on. Look forward to more videos from you. You are really pushing the design elements of Power Apps - much needed
Muchas gracias, eres un capo 👏👏👏👏Ojalá algún día profundices en la conexión a las tablas, editar, agregar y modificar datos entre tablas relacionadas. Saludos desde Chile.
Great Vid! Did a few different things with mine, I have both the drop down and the expand and shrink both working at the same time and it works real nicely! I've also set mine to close other drop downs with another option is selected that's NOT the current drop down. Again, GREAT video!
Hey, do you know how to make 3rd level of navigation? The problem is that the 3rd level of nested gallery is not possible (it was 3 weeks ago using view code/paste code) and I still need the 3rd and 4th level?
Hi Tolu, trank you so much for your Videos, it’s very helpful!! Do you have some ideas, how to use calendar in power apps. Example: I can to use calendar like a date picker, and this date will be automatically set in my form filed! and then I can fil with another information. And in this calendar the weekends days must be disable. Do you have ideas how to realize it? Of cores with you beautiful ui/us design 😊
I have the problem when i navigate through my child Menu to another Screen that my child menu is closed in that "new navigated screen" Is there a solution to keep the child menu opened when i navigate to another screen? 2nd Question: Is it possible to let the MenuIcon Glow when i choose a child Menu Selection instead ?
Hi, I completed the tasks based on the 3 videos. Currently, I'm encountering an issue where clicking the menu does not navigate to the next page. Can you please assist me?
Great content again Tolu! As I have mentioned already, I am now slowly making the apps in my business look better using your tutorials. Thank you! p.s. there might be a dev position soon... fancy a new role hahaha - I can then learn from one of the best every day!
To make the font smaller, simply select the underlying label and reduce the font size. As for the icon, increase or reducing padding will control the size
Just if anyone is wondering, I found that by turning on "Access app scope" within the component, it works like a charm. Maybe I missed that step in previous videos.
Hi, I Like this tutorial and i built my app like you did, but the SVGs only work on the PC on the mobile phone I have the Problem that no icons are shown. Do you have an idea why?
I think this has to do with the "Optimize for devices" feature in PowerApps. Check this community post: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/SVG-File-not-showing-in-power-apps-mobile-app/m-p/2616068
Yest it is possible but it'll be a bit tricky. My advice is to start with the multilevel design and then make it collapsible using the tips from the collapsible menu video.
Very good, thx! See if you can help me: How could I hide the lvl 1 menu based on information? Example: if the user profile is administrator, disable or hide the lvl 1 menu
Hi You actually only need a few small changes. 1. Setup your user role variable in the Formulas or OnStart property. This is the variable you will query to know the logged in user's role 2. Add a custom property to the component to get thus user role 3. Add a new column to the menu content "MenuRole". It will be an array variable. An example would be ["Admin","Sales","HR"]. Add in any applicable roles for that menu item 4. Modify the menu gallery by adding a filter to check if the logged in user's role (which is a custom property), is IN "MenuRole". This would then only show menu items for the current role
One question, the component works well, it calls the screen it should be, but when I press a menu button that does not have a submenu, it displays the submenu of a different button that has a submenu, on each screen I add OnVisible= Set(currentMenuID, 1 ) or the number that corresponds to each screen, where I call the change component: CurrentMenuID = currentMenuID, any idea what I could have done mail?
Hi. This issue is most likely from your Customnavigation data source . Make sure the table you are feeding into your navigation's menu content is as you want it. Confirm each menu item in the data source has only the child items you want it to have, if you dont want child items on a particular menu item, remove level2menu. Also, in your component make sure the level 2 gallery has its datasource set to ThisItem.Level2Menu or whatever you named your child menu in your datasource
Hi, I've been getting similar comments recently. It seems UA-cam Channel memberships aren't available to some regions. I've opened a Patreon account to offer the same memberships. You can check it out at www.patreon.com/ToluVictor if you're interested.
when i test the app in my environment in power apps the menu works great, but when i use the play button,The dark and light icon is not displayed and the menu text is not displayed, any idea?
Hi. Not sure what might cause this, but make sure the positional values of the controls and its parent containers are as desired (X,Y,Width and Height)
Hey can someone help me on the variable "openedLevel2Menu"? it is used in the icon onselect, in the IF statement. Maybe I missed the part of the video where he declared it? Thanks in advance

Hi. The blue I'm using is "RGBA(115,131,176,1)" and the yellow is "RGBA(254,189,47,1)". Channel members have access to the full app, so you can join to have an Indepth view of the built app.
First click inside the parent gallery, then there should be a pencil icon at the top left of the gallery, click that to select the gallery template and then add whatever you need to add. It can be a control or even another gallery

That's great. In the end, it's all about the creativity of the developer💪
Can you share how you did that?
Hey man, could you make a summary explanation on how you did it?

Broski, do a full course or a weekly teaching session. You're really good at this.
Thanks. Maybe in the future

I appreciate that!

Great VDO. I want to know if I want to create button to click and set the font in all menu to bigger or smaller. How to make it? Thank you

Hey Victor, how can we make that the sub-level are synchronized across screens? If I open it in one screen and go to another, it keeps opened.
Just if anyone is wondering, I found that by turning on "Access app scope" within the component, it works like a charm. Maybe I missed that step in previous videos.
Is it possible to mix the collapsible and multilevel menu?
Would be awesome
Yes it is possible. Just needs a little bit of extra work
@@toluvictor Maybe you could make a 4th video with this 😁
I can consider it as a future video idea 👍

Is there a way to make the sidebar collapsable and multi level ?. If possible could you make a video of it ?
Or you could tell me what to do

Hey man, can you continue this series? Creating a search bar
I will consider this in the future if I have cause to revisit this topic

For some reason I am unable to create a gallery inside another gallery . What do I do?
First click inside the parent gallery, then there should be a pencil icon at the top left of the gallery, click that to select the gallery template and then add whatever you need to add. It can be a control or even another gallery
