I bought The Forest, after watching you play. I never really got into it, but supporting devs who make what interests me is important. Maybe when Kalvin is a bit more useful, or Virginia doesn't lose her shotguns, or the story makes sense to me.
The reason you can't remove that log pole at 29:00 is because of the angled pole coming up from the outer edge of your build. If you remove that, then you'll have no problem removing the pole. The building system is really picky about the order of how you built something when you are trying to remove logs. That's why it worked when you redid it.

As far as i know/have seen you get 1 knockout, the 2nd = death... have yet to see if there is such thing as a Cooldown period for knockouts... ALSO, try planting some berry bushes in PLANTERS, they will eat them instead of left over cannibal parts...
Loving this series. I have a suggestion for your build for when you're ready for the stairs up to the 2nd floor. Try building a platform in an unused corner at half height and use it as a landing to run the stairs up in the corner so they don't take up so much floor space like the stairs in the middle did in your first build.
32:21 you'll be able to remove the stubborn-post if the diagonal-log-stud is taken off the roof-line first: the game-mechanics don't know what to do with the leaning piece attached to that post; you'll be able to position it there after getting the interior straightened out.

this is lookinnnnn nice but i think in order to finish that high asssssss roof you'll need to put a post straight up in every available spot and build it up by layers and then when your done remove the stuff you dont need by layers from top down
Base looks fantastic, building in this game is top notch, those big guys that kick you need to be slowed down a bit on their ability to hit you again after your knocked down, but early access maybe the will nerf them a bit. Great job GE!
Base is looking awesome. Also, at least for now, you can't be damaged during any type of animation like skinning animals or mutants. Also, when you're getting attacked like that, you can open your inventory, which pauses the game, and you can craft more armor and take some meds to at least heal yourself to allow you enough of a buffer to try to break free of what amounts to a stun lock that you were having with the big dude. And anytime that you get knocked out by cannibals, you generally find yourself tied up at the nearest cannibal base to where you went down. That was a nice bit of revenge with the revolver shot directly to the face.
29:32 the slanted beam in the front of the one you cont take out, remove the slanted beam and you will be able too.. it to was struggling took some doing
I think you can just put those half log pieces on the far wall and leave the middle empty, the half piece logs at an angle lets you span several empty sections so it would be outer wall with half angled piece then 3 or 4 full log wide then half angled piece then outer wall not sure if you can span more than 4 wide per row, I think its great of you to play all these new games keep up the great work

@GameEdged yea them support beams are so screwy. i watched another youtuber figure out something similar as to what you did in this one, as to even which log you placed first in some spot can matter on how you can take out a certain other support log or not
You could leave big picture windows over looking the lake by just putting in 2 of the wall logs and leaving the rest blank. It’d look awesome I reckon. 😊
you can do more in this game than you think ;) keep in mind that the order in which you place logs, or remove them, has a huge effect on what the game will allow you to do. you can make corners on your overhangs, 45 degree overhangs, stairs next to walls etc. this way. there may or may not be a channel, that may or may not be replying to your comment, that may or may not have some short demonstrations showing these things ;)
GE just let them fight the twins. Big guy got faster skills. I didn't see that coming. Big dude with that combo. the cabin has a nice profile. Can you destroy the other two buildings and reuse the logs? you might have to turn the treehouse into a lookout tower. You might have to burn the bodies to keep Virginia and Kelvin from eating them. LOL
When removing supports, it's critically important to do so _in the right order_ - the game has very specific ideas on what has to be installed and removed and in which order.

I don't get it. Why not just leave the armor off when spending lots of time building? That way you are not dwindling the armor parts down if something hits you. Then equip all the armor when going out to get more resources.
I think the spikes work better WITHOUT the fence for them to jump up too GameEdge. Place a second row staggered between the front row and get rid of the stick fence It's NOT helping you AT ALL.
Iirc the enemy get harder the longer you play. ( x # Days on island type buff to enemy). If iirc then you're going to have to stop underestimating them and overestimating your current skill level. It's ok to get your ass kicked, it's part of the "git gud" & "practice makes perfect". Lol.

GE is building an arena. An Arena where you can slaughter cannibals and mutants.

@GameEdged Make sure to eat a piece of every food type that has the ? next to it when looking at it to "learn" about the food.
Looks like "Thunder Dome". Add ziplines to the ceiling, hang the chainsaw up there and its game time. Two cannibals enter, one cannibal leaves.

Pretty sure limbs have separate hit boxes. Just swinging the katana down towards their legs should make very easy work of most things.

sometimes it helps to logout and reload, then the troublesome logs reload too and they can be messed with. .... sometimes.
