Thanks for videos mate! I'm a total newbie who bought myself a Sport Cub S for Christmas. I am hooked now and have ordered the full sized apprentice and Realflite 7.5. The only regret was not ordering the mini Apprentice for first plane, although the Sport Cub is fun too but not very good in any wind unless you stay in beginner mode. Absolutely love the safe technology even though the experienced guys make fun of it.
I got to maiden one of these for a new club member and new r/c pilot on Saturday 6-25-16. The TX feels great for a beginner TX. I was unaware of the flight modes and maidened in Mode 0 (beginner) and I thought this plane was a tank not turning. Fortunately someone else mentioned flight modes and flipped to Advanced and was super happy. My trainee got 2 flights with me via buddy cord and DX8. On his second flight ever he was doing so well with turns and keeping the plane level in beginner mode, I literally never took my thumb off the trainer button until it was time to land.
hey Chuck...if you pull the back of the radio off, you can easily move the centering spring from the left stick and put it on the right stick...also take the drag plate off the the right stick and put it on the left...that will make the throttle work...or just simply unscrew the two stick and swap them around...it's very easy, I do it all of the time...
Awesome stuff as always Chuck buddy good to see ya back man! Sucks what happened and you no longer get early releases but whatever you do is gold man and one day soon I hope you and Model Flight get the recognition from HH for what you do. I bet they wouldn't like it if you started pointing out all the faults that you may or may not come across ;) All the best man Adam :)
Good to see you back chuck, pity HH are not sending any samples, surely the amount of exposures you give these planes more than pays for a few samples so us punters get the unbiased analysis and then go out and buy them!
Just a few questions What's the difference between this and the big apprentice? Have you seen the Champ s+ and how would you compare with the mini? Do you think the geo fence works in the champ s+ and others that calm to have it? Thanks Also I do watch your videos but i don't respond much but how just wondering how is the Mrs. is doing?
Hi Tim, they are foam Broccoli boxes i just cut out the holes and then you can stack them in a corner. I have high ceiling here and can get the stack 9 high, i could get 10 but i have my SE 5a up top and the lid won't fit that one LOL! I do use a step ladder to get the top ones on.
Welcome back! Great Video!
Great to see you back with a new review!
Good on you, Chuck! Nice to see you still going strong. I've been away from the hobby for a few years, thinking about coming back to it. ... Lennie
