I've seen Crimson Scarlet live. They are amazing people very down to earth, amazing performers. 10 outta 10 would see them every time they come to my city. I would also buy all the merch or work the merch table or security for them, because I worked a t "show bar" and they were just fantastic to listen too and it was an honer to work their show. Not only does she have an amazing voice she is a very down to earth person!
You're lucky to have seen them live. I never got to do that and now they're broken up. However, her solo album is actually really good so there's always that. ua-cam.com/video/uq_6cq4AEko/v-deo.html
When we've build a world on nothing Without rucks or law or grain Thats when the devil comes on horseback Flying steel without a name After our lives and families settle And tired feet find ground to stay Thats when the voiceless hearts are silenced The trail of bodies fades away The cradle rocks without a sound No sign of help can be found The lens is painted blood-red There's no fight left to see Death rides in and she's coming for me The cradle rocks without a sound The bodies fade away Find a place to tear it down Tattered remnants to build a house Give us debt and sick and shame Take our teeth our lives our name Too few drugs to numb the sickness And our whole world reeks with pain Take what we have to get high now It was better before they came Today the river bed is running They suck our blood through the ground There's not a voice that isn't screaming And pretty soon there's no more sound And when we've built the world on nothing Without rucks or law or grain Thats when the devil comes on horseback The trail of bodies fades away
Just discovered this about a week ago. Absolutely haunting. "Walking on Both Sides" is another one that really sticks out for me. All of it is amazing, though.

Just bought this 7". I didn't like this band much earlier, but now it suddenly sounds much, much better. I like it. I just don't understand why they call this 7" an EP (it even stands on the cover), though, as it is a a single (two songs = a single). The youth of today does not know what EP means any more, I guess. They think every 7" is an EP. Extended Play means that there are more songs on it than on a single, it should not be so difficult to undestand, really.
@@deafanddestructiononthepis3149 : No, you are wrong! A single has 2 songs: one on SIDE A and another one on SIDE B and it's usually a 7" vinyl record! An EP (Extended Play) has to have more than 2 songs and less than 8 all originals divided by both sides and it is usually a 12" vinyl record! And then there's the maxi-single which is also a 12'' featuring a long remix of the SIDE A from the 7" single besides having on its SIDE B the regular version of the song along with an extra/new track since it has 3 songs altogether: one on SIDE A (remix) and 2 on SIDE B (regular version + extra/new track)! Finally there's the LP (Long Play) which has 8 songs or more! But ultimately what defines if it is an EP or LP is the duration or time length of the record in minutes!
The superfluous and forced choruses keep taking me out of the beautifully constructed trance of the verses (nice voice). A bit of love-aversion relation with this song. A better chorus would lift this song up. Or just simply drop it. It will still take 5 minutes. Beautiful songs don't last long and make you long for more.
Well... When I heard this song for the first time, i thought it's some kind of cover song. Totally NOT black metal ;) I know it's not cover, but my first thoughts... Cover of this one (1992): ua-cam.com/video/OSG7azmGBtI/v-deo.html

@@reanne1924 the (former)lead singer goes by RIKI now.
This is the best death rock / old school goth song ever recorded. Bar none. Beautiful.
When we've build a world on nothing
Without rucks or law or grain
Thats when the devil comes on horseback
Flying steel without a name
After our lives and families settle
And tired feet find ground to stay
Thats when the voiceless hearts are silenced
The trail of bodies fades away
The cradle rocks without a sound
No sign of help can be found
The lens is painted blood-red
There's no fight left to see
Death rides in and she's coming for me
The cradle rocks without a sound
The bodies fade away
Find a place to tear it down
Tattered remnants to build a house
Give us debt and sick and shame
Take our teeth our lives our name
Too few drugs to numb the sickness
And our whole world reeks with pain
Take what we have to get high now
It was better before they came
Today the river bed is running
They suck our blood through the ground
There's not a voice that isn't screaming
And pretty soon there's no more sound
And when we've built the world on nothing
Without rucks or law or grain
Thats when the devil comes on horseback
The trail of bodies fades away
Omg, THANK YOU for this.
So need this in Spotify!

I Love You TOo xxXxx
I like this a lot, but does anyone else think she sounds a little like Annette Funicello?
You must be an old timer. Yes, I wouldn't have thought of it, but she does indeed sound like a young Annette Funicello. Maybe it's her granddaughter.
We are waiting on Deezer
where are they from?
From Oakland, California

If its shorter than an LP and has more than one song it is an EP and not a single

Crimson scarlet is 100% insparate by the genre BLACK METAL
i dont get any black metal vibes from this .

I understand the connection with the reverb guitars but not much else.
They were actually influenced by: Sisters Of Mercy, 45 Grave, Christian Death, Siouxsie And The Banshees (www.interpunk.com/band.cfm?BandID=992681&)
Great song, great band, wished I'd lived in the bay area back then when they were still active...bay area is still rad tho!!!
