In today's video, I will be testing out the NEW Elf cosmetics hydrating camo concealer alongside the original 16hr camo concealer to see how they compare. In my demo and review of the elf concealer, we will find out which camo concealer is better??? Both of these concealers have BIG CLAIMS such as: full coverage, lightweight, 16hr wear and I will be testing these claims with a wear test + check ins throughout the day. Since they are both a drugstore concealer for ONLY $6 I had to test for myself to see if these concealers were worth the hype. I hope you enjoy!

I’ve seen these in the grocery store & was highly impressed by the shade range! When the video started I thought the left side of your face looked smoother, but they do both look VERY similar ! Overall very pretty. Makes me want to purchase for sure

Thank you for the review! I use to love all matte everything because I have oily skin but now a days I've been going towards more natural or hydrating finishes because it makes my skin feel and look much better.
Exactly the same! The radiant finished products tend to be the best
when doing the check in at 10 hours, the hydrating side looks so much better. I am not an oily person more sensitive and dry skin so I wonder how it would work for me.
I wonder what it would look like and if you mix both concealers and what the wear test would be like
I feel like the hydrating would look really good on dry skin and maybe not get oily at all. mixed they are probably perfect lol
Okay intro update! Cute. I always hear good things about ELF products. I understand not wanting to look ashy. I would've went a bit darker too. I don't want to pick up make up online because it may not look the same in person, so I hope that they bring your shade to the store, so you can use it too. $6 is a good price! (sounds right up my alley as far as budget.)

Okay shimmer on the eye! I like the hydrating side better after the 10 hours because of the oiliness! I love seeing the drugstore products used because they are more affordable!

To be honest, I prefer the right side, it just looks much smoother. Now that you mentioned it, I can definitely see that the mattifying side got super oily. I don't really wear makeup, but if I do, I might do MAC, Fenty, and maybe even Maybelline. I would probably definitely do the mattifying foundation, geared to how long I usually wear makeup for.

At first I couldn't see a difference at all. But with your last check up you have a lot less oil, so I guess it hydrates your skin enough to not produce excessive oil, which is a good thing. But I also don't like it if product settles into fine lines, this usually happens with all products for me, so not the end of the world. Great review, looking forward to more!

I haven’t shopped elf in years. I used to buy their makeup brushes. But I’ve never tried their makeup. Might pick up one these concealers though and see how it does for me.

Looks By Naheemah I just use the original one, did they come out with 2 new ones? The one I use doesn’t say matte or hydrating. My skin is combo, but I like the dewy look so I’m all about the hydration lol!
Callie Mileham the original one is the one I’m calling matte. On the description on their website they say the of has a matte finish. The new one is the hydrating concealer

I agreed the matte side looked so much better but the end result wasn’t so good. Sometimes that’s why I’m scared to try those drugstore brands because they don’t last long after a long day
I’m going to try the matte ones with direct powders and see if that helps. I’ve always had great results with drugstore products sometimes it’s just about finding the dream team foundation+concealer+powder combo
I love all things elf! it’s affordable! it’s durable! and my go to for a lot of brushes makeup etc! both sides look quite similar to be honest at first glance. I probably would go with matte because I’m super oily 😩

I have always wanted to try more elf products but I live in Australia and we get very little elf products here and being a woman of colour like you, they seem to cater for light skinned people and hardly find anything for other people of colour, have to end up buying high end like too faced, urban decay, MAC etc because they cater for us
That is so messed up! they do that at a lot of drugstores in the US as well unfortunately. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops to buy a product. I'd say the best way to get elf is directly on their website because you can get items on sale, free shipping and they almost always give free product

I picked the right side. Is there a way to test and see what the correct color is for your skin tone? That why I always went to Sephora because you can test the products but drugstore makeup you can't really test out. Thanks for sharing 😍
At Ulta they have started to have some testers for drugstore but that’s really going to be the only place to find that.

Initially, both sides showed hardly any difference, but at the end, I vote for the hydrating one seeing that it was less oily on that side. Nice review :-)

Interesting results at the 10 hour check in. I have the matte concealer but I’m not a fan.
After 10hr wear I can see why. I definitely like the hydrating better but I’m going to play around with the matte to see if I can make it work

That's interesting maybe the hydrating concealer worked better over time because your skin will produce more oil if it's dried out but really oily skin is overreacting because it's DE hydrated like it wants moisture. #OilyAndCute

I really like them both but if I had to choose the matte!
I think the matte one is similar to your skin tone before you powdered. The hydrating one looks like it highlighted your under eyes. Maybe it’s just the formula being “hydrating” so the light reflects better on that side. I haven’t tried this one yet, but if I were to pick up one, I’d get the hydrating one just because I don’t like the feeling of matte under eye. 😆

I agree they did look SLIGHTLY different to be the same shade. I’ve never used matte makeup before. I like elf products tho. I’ve also never used a brush tho 🙃🙃🙃

I love drug store products, but I actually haven't dabbled in any of the elf products yet! Looks like I'm going to have to now! I always pick the lightest shade because I am like paper 😩

yeah the hydrating concealer would be the safest bet. I'd say they are more medium coverage not full
I've been seeing the elf concealer all over IG. I actually prefer a hydrating concealer tbh. Like I'm so over Matte these days haha no more dry face

It’s crazy to me that the matte side is more oily than the hydrating side! That’s insane! I haven’t tried the hydrating one and I did like the matte concealer when I tried it.
That’s why these wear tests are so important. I really thought I was going to like the matte one more
