Excellent job on the run and on the video! I can relate a lot to the “overconfidence from completing a 5k” 😂 that distance is the gateway drug to better things. Keep going! Dropped you a like.

First: Congratulations to you! Very good success, thats really huge. Even more if we think about these few training runs. Yes, you do sports regularly but still you dont have a career as a runner. 2:11 is a very good time under these circumstances. Excellent job!
Nice to hear you want to continue with new plans.
But! A Marathon is not 2 half marathons and wont be done properly with 28 training runs only. The difficulty of a Marathon comes at Mile 20+
it requires several long runs between 12 and 20 miles which are time consuming. You should also workout regularly and strengthen the whole body (after my Marathon the worst pain were my shoulders!!!)
Anyway: Have fun and enjoy running and training for a Marathon (or just for fun). If you will do a Marathon: The whole training and the Marathon will be a great adventure and a long journey to yourself, your ups and downs, success and failure, hopes, beliefs. Once you done it successfully and finished a Marathon your life will be different.
    Greetz!

Thank you so much for your insight! I’m 100% sure you’re right. Telling myself that it’s only 28 training runs makes it less scary 😭😭😭 I’m sure the training will be the one of the toughest things I’ll ever have to do. But just like you said, I believe my life will be different afterwards, for the better!
