    Hot damn man I can’t wait to get into my local and get through the apprenticeship. 1 week of journeyman pay is 75% of my entire monthly income working with a remodeler and framer busting ass hah

      @@DailyElectrician I worked from apprentice to journeyman, 33 years. The NEBF is only 165 per month , as part of my retirement it is small.

    Is there potential for overtime ? Orange County is only at 54 right now … I think LA is 57 but I live right by the OC office so I guess the gas/ driving trade off will be worth it .

    Just curious. Why are your taxes so high? Its like 31% of your Net. Is it because of your tax bracket? I'm an apprentice at local 441 but my JW told me he got payed almost like $1000 for 3 days work

      yeah there can be multiple unions or "locals" per state sometimes. im apart of local 48 (portland, oregon). look up the locals in your zipcode for more information on them

    Have u ever decided on a career change or do u enjoy being an electrician? I've read that a lot of electricians eventually ended up hating their jobs but that can be a very opinionated statement so I was wondering about your experience.

    so after taxes is like 73k a year and then you got car bill, rent bill, food etc so your looking at 50k after expenses, 4k a month?? well not dat baadd😬

      right now i make like 96k after taxes with overtime. about 7.3k a month before expenses. my expenses are less than 2k a month. so i have an extra 6k+ a month

      added the vacation fund per week of $91.75
      adds an extra $4,771 a year
      $1368.55 x 52 weeks=$71,164.60
