I’m a tournament bass fishermen, I use these in my live well as a extra measure to make sure I return healthy bass back into the lake, I Love these pumps.
Just received my single outlet pump and so happy with how quiet it is!! Also purchased 2 Anubias Nana Petite and they are very healthy, beautiful plants. Will definitely be getting more in the future. ❤my Betta sticker!!
To quiet down ANY air pump, hang them from a rubber band, and make sure the pump dosent touch anything. use thick rubberbands.
This is why I love to get as much of my equipment as I can from Aquarium Co-op. P.S. Please give Murph a Clam for me.
Another slam dunk from the Co-Op, I’m amazed at the quality of products that you guys are developing. Another phenomenal product.
Got one making its way to me now. The ability to control air volume right at the pump sold me on having to try this. If it works as expected I’ll be moving all my sponge filters and air stones to this pump.
@graceonoja-iv6ex look at you catfishing on an aquarium channel… get a job…
Awesome! I will be buying a couple. I do this now with a UPS on the tanks! Noise wise, that isn't loud. In fact i think the pump noise gives a nice white noise effect for sleeping!
I have one of the old ones. It works great. Now I have 2 new ones on order, can’t wait to get them running in the fishroom.
3 hours ago? Yes this means they are available again? Checking site after video. Keep on keeping on and enjoying nature daily. Cory, You're great.
@@AquariumCoop I did check. I am about to pull the trigger on the purchase. I know they won't last. Thank you!
Nice! Been waiting for the restock and just ordered. I have the D battery portable air, but they are crazy loud and a pain to set up when the power goes out. Which is a lot here in California.
This is awesome! Would really help me when I go on a long trip to pick up fish from my favourite store that’s close to 2 hours away. You may not need an air pump for that short of time, but it would really make me feel better having one of those in my car.
Yeah likely you're fine at 2 hours. However when I move koi, arowanas, big oscars or catfish, I'd use a pump like this.
@@AquariumCoop I'm really impressed by the research and dedication to quality.
Most air pumps are rated based on gallons/depth of tank. How many of these pumps would be needed for a 200 gallon tank?
How many 10 gallon UGF could be powered by one pump? Trying to figure out the budget for revamping my fish rack and show tanks.
Nice cory as always continuous improvement! I just bought one each of the test strips off you sir
I use your nano air pump and that’s super quiet! Thx for the review!
Type C! A very welcome improvement. This is now THE must-have routine and emergency use device.
I'm considering a bedroom aquarium just for the air pump and sponge filter bubble noise.
Wouldn't mind getting me a few of these. I've already spent my budget on tanks and supplies to get some new ones sat up, so I can't get some at the moment, but I'm gonna get me a few here soon. Been running on some battery back-ups for that, and I've got spares of everything except for air pumps.
Looks great 👍
Best Air Pump on the market!
I have a first generation Air pump and it's great. I know you probably working on a dual port one as well.
Good product. In fact, I am impressed by all your products. I can clearly see the hand of a hobbyist designer, which I think is lacking in the industry. You should look at getting your products into South Africa. Here we have daily power outages. Three periods in a 24 hour cycle of between 2.5 and 4.5 hours each. I have these type of pumps (Chinese brand) on all my tanks connected to sponge filters. Mine can handle up to 20 hours straight without power (much bigger pumps though) but the Coop pump seems a lot quieter and could be a great option for someone with just one tank.
Great pump need them in UK great backup pump 👍
Yes, I was sad that it wasn't mentioned clearly that international shipping is a no-go.
Looks brilliant, if you can get them out in the UK that would be nice!
Looks great. I run a rather large battery back up on each of my aquariums. Can never be too safe for a power outage. This having the battery savor mode and USB connection is very nice for possible long term outage.
Wow, that is really cool.
I need to grab a couple of these
Sold!
The battery-life light looks to be dimmer than before. That's good. The light being too bright was the only issue I had with it. I just threw a towel over it and it was fine.
Best aquarium pump I have ever used!
wouldnt putting the stone in water put the pump and motor under load making it louder? For instance if i turn the valve down to decrease flow mine gets louder because its under more restriction/load.
Wow I'm early. Can't wait to get one
Canada needs your electronic aquarium gear❤
Aprils Aquarium sells some of it, I think they are bringing in the air pumps. yourlocalfishstore.com/shop/AQUARIUM-CO-OP-PREMIUM-PRODUCTS-c141635047
Yes April's Aquarium out of Vancouver. I have ordered Co-op supplies from them a couple times and they are top notch! Great service and fast shipping. I have ordered on a Thurs and Fri and had it delivered in Winnipeg on Monday. Can't say enough good things about April's. After exchange on the money, prices are pretty much the same.
I just checked April's Aquarium site and they show the air pump but not sure if it's the new version or old version. One would have to check with them to see.
These pumps were clutch when I had to move for work
I have been having all sorts of new chinese I assume junk pumps lasting like a year. I told my mom. She found some pump she had like probably 20 or 30 years ago. That works so good. Who make one that will not go bad so quick? That battery function is awesome but not needed for my guppy set up air is not needed. Its fine with nothing. I just want it for the filtering. Have you had any age test yet on this one? I dont even really care that much on price as long as it will last a few years. lol Cory or any commenters have any suggestions? Its for a 55 gallon. I believe to be 4 foot long by 18 tall by 12 inch wide. But regular 55 gallon tank. Thanks for all suggestions! I love the aqua cc and thats why I thought maybe I can get help here. Keep up great work Cory!
So excited for the new dual outlet battery backup air pump... Especially since my UPS died in the last power outage. Cheaper to buy 2 of these for my tanks, than a new UPS😆
Sorry computer, I love my fish more.
Just placed an order. Thought it was cool there is aquarium coop freeze dried now! I’ve never heard anything about it
I have the old version and I love love love it! I wish I needed a new one so I can ick up the new version! HAHA
When do you expect to get the dual outlet pumps in? Looks like a great updated product.
Yeah so far in 7 months of fish keeping I haven't had the power go out yet which I'm shocked because I live in FL. I bought the d battery backup but I'm sure the batteries are dead by now, so I'm going to get this one asap
I could use one of these. I was looking for a battery operated air pump that can still work when plugged in, so I'll definitely have to look at the price.
Looks like a marvelous product! If the power goes out and say it comes back on, on hour 7 and the pump has been dead for the last hour. Will it go back on when the power comes back on or does it need someone to physically turn it back on?
are these okay to keep outside?
i have a 110 gallon pond that runs off a solar battery bank.
I'm looking for something that can charge during the day and run overnight until the sun comes back up.
but it would have to stay outside (in texas heat, but in the shade, on my patio)
Can you have it automatically switch to powersaver mode when it loses power? Like what happens if I hit powersaver mode when it's plugged in?
Wondering if I can plumb these to a pvc pipe to aerate multiple tanks. Currently looking for a way to aerate my mini ponds. I have 8 15 gallon totes
Can you charge this and discharge at the same time? I wanted to run this with a Solar Panel/Power Bank combo for a pond. This way the solar panel is outputing at all times to the air pump and if power runs out the air pump an continue on. Let me know!
Hey Aquarium Co-Op! I visited your shop yesterday because I have decided that I want to get a fish tank. I am a starter, and my mom and I decided on a 20-gallon, long tank for Neon Tetras and a Betta fish. We haven't gotten it yet, but we are currently planning. Do you guys think you can do a video on how to make a beginner tank for Neon Tetras and a Betta fish in a 20 gallon tank? If you can, that would be awesome. I have a checklist on what I will need for the tank, but it would be amazing if you could create a tutorial on how to clean, manage, and arrange an aquascape? This would be super helpful, and you guys are great!
(P.S. say "hi" to Murphy for me
Hi Cory. Are these aquarium pumps like a one size fits all? You know how most pumps tell you how many gallons they work for? I have a 20 gallon long tank and I want good flow through my sponge filter and one bubbling ornament. Should I use 2 small ones? Or one double outlet? At the risk of sounding dumb, if I want the flow to be more on the sponge filter than the bubbling ornament, if I put a valve on the ornament side to make less flow, will that increase the flow on the sponge filter side? Or do the sides run separately? Thank-you very much.
Nice!💪
@Grace Onoja Love and watch all the videos tons of knowledge, if I ever in the area definitely one of my must visit fish store, awesome.👍
USB air pumps the best one !
How many things can they run properly in what size of tank?
What would it take to make a 48-hour model? (This pump interests me, and I may get this 6-hour model.) Things always seem to go wrong when we are gone, and sometimes that includes weekends. Take care.
Any plans for a bigger model that can be untilzed for up to 4-8 accessories?
Will the dual air pump be coming out to?
Could this be good for a 10 gallon and a five gallon to run on? Or juat the 10?
is there a new model coming out or is this it? might have heard in a live stream a while back that a newer one was coming/ in the works
Cory, I don’t know the name but you have something you sell so 4 filters can be ran on the same pump. Can I use that connector on your larger battery unit and run 4 small sponges on 10 gallon tanks? Also when turning down the flow volume does it turn down all tanks together or is there a way to individually dial them in? Thanks so much for your fantastic products😊
Nice review!
By big question is, where are all black-ponds?
You’ll see more in videos coming, but we’ve been working on taking them out and setting up other tanks since the last update.
Would your usb air pump be good for a 10 gallon tank
Will this work on a timer? Or will it always turn on with power loss no matter what? Can the auto switch to battery on power loss be disabled?
I'm using 2 of the first gen models and love them! When will the 2 output version be available for purchase?
Not quite sure, we are waiting on a microchip shortage. My hope is within the next 90 days.
@@AquariumCoop Bummer, but I'm signed up for notifications so I'll be ordering it ASAP 😃
How long can it run by itself with the internal battery?
Oh wow
How can I control it with a Kasa Wi-Fi outlet?
What is the battery life of the old one?
Do you send to the uk
I’m running a canister filter and am looking for something to stave off degradation for a few hours in case of power loss. Would opening up the canister and dropping one of these (airstone end) into it, and one in the tank be a decent solution?
I'm honestly not sure as I haven't done any testing. Other then offering a, couldn't hurt and I bet it would help. But as the person selling the air pump, I don't want to mislead you.
Can it make toast with sourdough bread?
How many things can I run with 1 pump??
To bad you guys only ship to the US. For such a popular hobby aspect the market doesn't seem to have many serious brands. RC cars have more for example.
I’m Traveling to the US next fall and is hoping to buy one, are theese available in aquarium co-op parter stores?
Some of us need a little white noise to not go bonkers hearing ceiling fan tics... Etc. Etc.
Bro I bought a random 2.5 gallon glass tank with lid ! Without looking at glass lid I thought it would be like like all glass lids ! It had no plastic back the lid was cut to fit top no room for barely air tube ! No plastic backing like other lids ! Iam at a loss lol
This seems like the best air pump on the market from what you’ve shown us but will the pump still be that quiet in a year or two? P.S. that couch looks awesome.
I can't answer how quiet it will be in 2 years, as they haven't been out that long. But in my opinion all air pumps besides linear air piston pumps gets louder as they age as parts do have wear and tear. I do believe they will remain nearly as quiet long term.
@@AquariumCoop sounds like a good pump I’ll probably test one out at some point👍. Not gonna lie I thought you were saying you’re products were so good just cause you were trying to sell tons of them but then after having problems with other lights and loud sponge filters that would always clog up I gave your light a try and I’m amazed by the quality and how much my plants love it also I tried the sponge filters and I love that I can put an airstone to make it quite. So I think from now on if I’m looking for something I need when setting up my next tank I’ll check to see if you sell your own version and I’ll go with you cause I’ve only had positive experiences with co op products. Thanks for making amazing products and helping this hobby.
I need one I'm starting my first tank
Nice air pump, but for the same price, you can get many other similar models that run for 40 hours (10 seconds ON, 10 OFF)
Just got home now and there's no power on the street.😬 How long can fish live without water circulation?
Depends on how many fish, and tank size. Typically I'm not worried for at least 8 hours with my setups. But after that I get a generator going etc. If you have an airpump you can run from a usb or an inverter in your car. I'd probably do it every few hours.
@@AquariumCoop thank you. It's been about 2hrs and I think power will be back in an hour. 🙏 I Need to prepare for the next power failure.
What size fish tank is it designed for?
Pretty much everything. In the short/story you can see it runs a sponge filter on my 800 gallon. I'd say anything between nano to 200 gallon tanks would be suitable. But can go larger as well, It matters more how deep the aquariums are.
My pump has very weak flow even at the highest setting. Does anyone have any solutions to this?!
International shipping when? I'm in New Zealand and would love to support aquarium co-op. I imagine the cost makes it not very feasible.
Does this only have one air line port?
We have a single version and a dual version.www.aquariumcoop.com/products/aquarium-co-op-air-pump
Wish we could get aquarium co-op product in india.
Whats the gallon rating?
Gallon ratings don’t make sense for air pumps. If you watch the short or story released you can see it running a sponge filter on my 800 gallon. It does 1.5 liters of air per minute.
So do I say it’s rated for 800 gallon tanks? That doesn’t make sense either. Pumps should be rated by depth they can pump. My 800 gallon is 40 inches deep. More deep than any common aquarium.

This was posted 2 mins before comment I'm the first viewer somehow.
Dang, I gotta get me one of those!
I saw the description says 1.5L/min, but I'm new to the hobby. How do I figure out how that translates into gallon ratings/tank size? I'm used to seeing the other commercial ones saying "60-100gallons" etc. I have a 125 gallon tank I'm about to get set up and I know I will have to get more than one pump for everything anyway, but wanted to know if anyone could help me to know how many L/min translates into tank size? I hope I'm making sense. :D
Can't wait to purchase one of these pumps though, the battery backup is *chef's kiss* a perfect feature.
Will you have these with the dual outlet option as well later?
If you watch our story or short. You can see it running on my 800 gallon tank. As for the dual outlet we hope to have them in the next 90 days or so. A microchip shortage has delayed their launch.
@@AquariumCoop wow, that's one awesome air pump! Can't wait for mine, and so glad I found the Co-Op!
Gallon conversion is simple, multiple the liters per minute by 0.264 and you get how many gallons it does per minute (1 US gallon is 3.785 liters). If you want to know how much it does per hour then simply multiply this number by 60 minutes in an hour.
@@emuevalrandomised9129 thanks so much for the conversion tips.
Is there a recommended gal or liter per minute for larger tanks or is it basically just a matter of not having too much tubing or having your pump too far away from your aquarium?
@@ranchupichu There are way too many factors that come into play when recommending air supply to tanks, so I am going to boil it down to a simple answer. Will you be running a filter on your tank? If so any size air supply will do. The only time you would want to take into account amount of air supplied in a time frame is when you are trying to strictly filter your tank with air via sponge filters. Because that amount of air supplied will factor into creating flow/movement of water in the tank.
So want 1 of these just a shame I'm in 🇬🇧. Anyone in 🇺🇸 that would ship me 1 I'd be grateful 🤣🤣
Say what?
You can purchase the pump from us or Retail Partner Stores near you. www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/air-pumps/products/aquarium-co-op-air-pump
Is that 6hrs at full power, please?
Also wondering if I can purchase this in Australia please?
I'm sooo excited to finally get my order in!!!
I still haven't received the text alerting me that they're in stock though.
