Welcome to Peterson Family Farm. On this UA-cam channel, we plan to show viewers what happens on a real life family farm in Kansas. It is special to raise your own heifers. Hard to describe.
Keeping back your best heifers is a good way to replace older aged-out cows, particularly if you are changing out bulls in the next year or so or can AI them. You know their disposition and where they came from. It does take some time, but in the end it is worth it.

A while back I needed some tractor parts and found them online at Abilene Machine. I was about to hop in the pickup and head to Abilene to get them but last minute noticed it was in Kansas, not Texas. Have got a few things from them mail order since then. Good outfit.

Same here with raising a calf to when it’s a calving heifer, at least you know every were they have been, medical use , and know about there mamas.Great combine hope you enjoy it!
Kendall, the cows are very relaxed around you. Plus having cows in the background makes great scenery.

Make sure u have a set of small wire for wheat and round bar concaves for corn!! Those are great machines. I had one for 7 years and just traded for a S760 . Enjoy the channel..

You will like the new combine. I bought one 6 years ago with 850 hrs. In the last 2 years mostly, I have spent $20,000 in repairs. Just little things but labor really adds up at the dealer.

Nice machine! We Ran 2 like it for a while before buying 2 9870sts years ago . Those 70 series are great reliable machines that provide clean grain samples. Great video keep up the good work!
Here in South Central Kansas near Conway Springs, I work for a farm that bought a John Deere 9660 STS Bullet Rotor combine last winter.

Congratulations on your new-used combine. Think you will really like this series of combine compared to what you have. Am sure the one you are going to sell will go fairly quickly. Hope so for you. Understand what you are saying about calf time and keeping the herd you have for a round of calf’s. Am sure you will make the right decision. You all are excellent herdsmen and take excellent care of your herd.

Nice to see more farmtubers upgrading combines again, 9770’s from what I hear are good machines, tho I’ve never been in one, cos we’ve got the series down, being a 9760. The STS’s are really good combined for what they are, it’s only what condition you buy it in that’s the issue causer.

Nice combine! I had to laugh when at Abilene Machine he said about the little old 4400, which turned out to be a 3300. I still run a JD 4400 which you can see on my channel if you're interested. The head on that combine was probably a 13 foot.
While at the salvage yard, you pointed out a 4020 and loader, actually that was a 4320. I’ll let it slide this time.lol enjoy your channel.👍

Hey guys I have a 2008 macdon fd70 30ft for sale in northwestern ks. Its field ready! Itd make you a great head. Lots of new parts. New feed drum and fingers. Stainless steel floor and new center belt. Probably has 350 acres on all the new parts. It's got the Deere combine feeder house hookup with single point hydraulic hookup. Itd make you guys a great head. Flexs great and goes through wheat and milo like a tornado!
remember to keep engine compartment clean on rotary know for to have fires. hey new combine for laura to run lol.get a macdon header.

I think April fools dat, I would of put New rubber duals on the 3300, then loaded it on a trailer, and have it driven to the farm. And then unload it as an April fools day prank.
I’d skip the bull, sync them up and have them AI’d.
