at 3:56 to get unstuck you need to tip the sled 45 degrees and use the reverse, the reverse on those sleds are amazing. i have that exact sled i love it in powder
Yeah, last winter was extreme. We've never had this amounts of snow in January as long as I can remember. About 15 cm now (1/2 foot) and really cold. You really need to get used to ride in conditions like these. If You haven't, you'll be stuck... :)
That’s some serious snow! All us tundra owners should be so privileged to have that powder to test our riding ability and just have some fun in. Slush tho isn’t fun...
Agree! Slush isn’t that fun, but it is doable without too much problems. It’s just easier to cope with if You have more bhp in the engine. I haven’t been riding in such conditions before, and I’ve been riding for 20 years. One week after the video was shot, the snow was much harder and it was’nt any problems at all. I been told it was like heaven. :)
@@65northphoto Yes, that ACE motor ... not sure, but might be heavier and not have the bandwidth of horse power for slush? I've got the 550F which does fine in slush, but without the cooling fins in the tunnel the ice builds up and can be a pain to get out unless you take it into heated space to thaw.
It lacks horsepower in conditions like these. The problem I had was that I couldn’t keep the speed in the slush. This never happens with my other sled, 600 R Etec.
@@alpom1 I've had both and have the 600 EFI now. The 600 EFI hands down. I know there are a lot of ACE cultists out there, but my experience make it an easy decision. The ACE pulled like crazy everywhere, but when I got in the deep powder or slush, I was not happy with it. I've got about 500 miles on the new Tundra and love it.
Too much snow for the driver the title should read. I took my Tundra snow that deep no prob. It just rides on the belly pan. Mechanical snowshoe. But mine was a 155. It junk/parts now the tube frame is broken.
@@65northphoto yeah we do not get fluff up here. Too much wind. Even in the bush the light stuff tends to blow away. Once in a while in small isolated lakes but never 5' deep.
It would have. I’m sure about that. We went breaking trail as a team, and since the oldest guy is 70 years old and had to struggle a lot we decided to turn around.
I was riding out on some slushy crap in my 2020ace LT and found that the ski skins really helped keep the front end up and out of the shit.
That’s good to hear, I’ve been thinking about doing something about the stock skis. They are too narrow now.
That's an amazing amount of snow. I wish I had even half that and I'm in Southern Ontario Canada
Yeah, we have a lot of snow this year. Much more than average 😊
Looks like your wish is coming true this year. lol
@@shaundefeo4981 Barrie/Orillia got a decent amount but not much around my area right now (Guelph)

I wish we had snow like that . Many people are not use to deep snow. Takes time to learn to ride all over again.

I’m thinking about buying the LT with the 600 efi engine.
That seems to be a really sweet machine. That extra power should be nice to have in really extreme conditions.
I've had both the 600 ACE and the new EFI. No comparison. I love the new EFI.

Yep, HAD one of these.
Where did you get that cool trailer cover/hard shell thing?
From any trailer dealer, they are very common in Sweden.
Back in the trailer and back to the dealer?
The Tundra is sold now, but not for that reason 😁
Cool, man. I picked me up a nice Skandic tundra fan
Enjoy! Its' a really great little sled@@freezerburn04

:D :D :D Tundra is a great machine. In these conditions, every sled got stuck...didn't matter what kind of sled or the skills of the driver
@@65northphoto some days are like that. Especially when the snow is wet and heavy. When there is hard crust and powder underneath is the worst.
This was very fluffy powder that carried absolutely nothing, 5 feet of pure fluff

Should have let the tundra break trail, won't be fast but you'll get there
I’m sorry to say that in these conditions the Tundra really struggled and couldn’t make it. First time that happened for me with the Tundra.
Think you all need to learn how to drive snowmachines
You’re welcome to teach us!
Gjør som samene sett på ekstra vide ski så den flyter mer oppå snøen med fronten. Eller bare kjør ockelbo 6000 😁 beste scootern for slikt føre
