This is an easy but delicious recipe which you can easily make at home and it tastes just as good if not better than the prawn puris you get at the best curry houses.

A great team in the making. Misty Ricardo, the man, the legend finally revealed.
I have just made this and I can honestly say it’s the best prawn puri I’ve tasted so thank you Misty Ricardo and the Curry Guy 👍🙏
Evening all.
Enjoying a beer with Dan.😋
Great to put a face to the cook Richard av been cooking yours and Dan's Currys for a few years now both with fantastic results, av got Dan's first book and have just told our lass to get me yours for Christmas, cheers pal great video 🤗👍👏🤣
@@philipatkinson7039 Thanks Philip. Appreciated.
I can't count the number of curries I've made thanks to you two guys. Great to see the two causes of my excess stomach working together :) Cheers.
Great video guys. For some reason the sound synch goes wrong wrong at around 4:31 (like a badly dubbed 70s foreign movie!)
I just noticed that. Had my son do the editing and asked him to hurry so it could go up yesterday. We filmed three other videos and will ensure that doesn't happen to them. :-)
Yes it happened, but we are on top of things. I've met you in person Paul so you know I speak in sync. Next video will be a Spaghetti Western.
Great video lads, lets have more
You two make a wonderful collaboration. Hoping this won't be a one off !! Thanks for the great video.
Thank you Julie. We recorded four videos yesterday. More on the way. :-)
Most Excellent.
My favourite starter, thanks dan
These are the Guys!
Reminder set, im in.
I love this dish as a starter. I'd like to know how to make puri out of flat bread or chapati. Simply fry in butter or ghee? The look on your face when he added kasuri methi at the start! Good to see BIR guys teaming up. I haven't seen this before. I like Misty Ricardo's videos but am yet to try any of his recipes. I find them very informative.
Thanks Stephen - It really easy to make puri from tortillas and chapattis. They aren't the real thing but real puris are a lot more fussy to make. Just fry the tortilla in some oil and press down on it cooks. It will bubble up. Flip over to finish. Give it a try. :-)
As Dan says, it's very easy to make puris in the (easy) restaurant style. For the video, I coated a frying pan (actually in this case a tava) with some oil, and fried the 'wrap' tossing a few times.
@@MistyRicardo Thanks. This dish is coming up soon. I love your video on how to use base gravy and the detailed description on why to use it that way. Cheers. You BIR guys have inspired me and enhanced my love of cooking curry. Just need a proper aluminium frying pan and a chef's spoon. Oh, and some Balti pans too. Keep up the good work.
Stephen Emson Thanks Stephen. It really is appreciated.
You mentioned folding the purée, I’ve had this dish in many restaurants but never had it folded, not that it makes any difference, it’s a really lovely starter and as you said better with raw prawns👍
Got misty’s ebook and dans red curry guy book. Both great. Do any of you have a recipe for chicken jaipuri?
I do. Might put it in 'The Curry Guy Bible'. :-)
Dan Toombs - That would be great haven’t had a decent one in years
Dan Toombs I’d buy it for that recipe alone
Excellent! Can’t wait!
Ready
Dan will the Curry Guy bible contain all of your recipes from the first 3 books (normal + easy + light)?
It will have recipes from the first three books, not 'The Curry Guy Light', and will also feature 50 new recipes. :-)
Dan Toombs Awesome, I may delay until next Christmas then and get everything in one book ☺️
I need this curry bible!
Is it me or does the voice go 2 seconds out of sync half way through ?
Damn! What happened to the audio synch?
Still, a joy to see you two together.
The editing was rushed a bit by my son so we could get it online while Richard was here. We filmed three other videos and will ensure we don't have that problem with them. :-)
Dan - don't forget to let us know when your new book will be published.
Thanks Julie - I just received my first copy. I'm really happy with it. It's available for pre-order on amazon now. :-)
@@DanToombs Many thanks for the update. I'll check it out at Amazon
Hmm, not the most appetising looking meal.
It was amazing! :-)
@@DanToombs It looks fabulous!
