It’s so funny that you made the pregnancy/40w analogy, because I was totally thinking how similar your feelings when getting the call to the feelings I had after getting a bfp 😂 It’s such a strange feeling: excitement, relief, but also shock and numbness and feeling like you don’t know anything about this person (or persons as I once discovered). And of course, the fear that it’s not real/it can still go wrong. I also didn’t feel the way I expected to feel. The roads to parenthood are all unique, but it’s beautiful to see the common features.
