Player was still playing Among Us while also involved in Friday Night Funkin. But it isn't until the episode that he got the god mod that he suddenly stopped. And if you recall, in that exact episode, he made his intention to quit the game very clearly. So it's clear by that one episode that he stopped playing Among Us after failing to win in a situation where he absolutely should've won.
So, realistically, it would make sense that he would jump to Friday Night Funkin'. Not only does he have a cute girlfriend there, but it's a game he keeps winning.
