This is awesome, I'm actually Chumash, my names
    Vincent "Hawkfire" Valenzuela.
Growing up my grandma Mary Hernandez, taught me SO much about this culture, but I was too young to understand, now age 21, I'm going to collect this information and surprise my grandma and let her know that I won't forget or let it pass me in this life and not forget about it and I'll teach my kids to teach there's .
This is actually really a Beautiful way of life/ culture.
And very fun. Sweat lodges to meditate. Dancing and song. Burning sage. Coyote pelts and feathers.
I'm very glad this just clicked in my head a few seconds ago and looked it up.
I will not forget it, & be formed just too (this new age). And learn into my history. And will pass it on.

@@babyraf4472 Not surprising. The rich guilt in Malibu is so strong, he just capitalized on it. The virtue signaling is disgusting. Its the people that literally live on their old villages that are acting like they give a damn the most bc they're locals. Big joke

This is great. REcreating a nation's homes is the starting point of reviving culture, and so enriching for our children. I wish each Native nation would recreate at least one village. There is nothing here in Western Mass to visit to experience Nipmuc culture, which is a real pity.

This is not far from where i live, glad i found this video. Over for years in Ventura and never heard of it before, even when talking to locals how great it would be to have a recreated village here.

The California Indians prove that the noble savage myth is not actually a myth, most experts agree that they were largely peaceful and almost never engaged in warfare or violence.

Unfortunately this is made up. These people haven’t been able to speak their own language since the 1950s. People who don’t know their language often don’t know how ceremonies go so therefore have lost their true identity. They’ve been bred out and watered down to the point you have the true pretendians like so. There’s reviving and maintaining culture then there’s monetizing it this is the latter. Very common to see from people who don’t know who they are it happens in my tribe today with folks who only have a partial connection to our ways. You seen them trying to claim things in the tribes name. Crazy I see folks talking about doing that here in the comments.
