I had the pleasure of meeting Stephi and Andrea and they are just a pleasure to speak with. I was a driver at a tournament in Miami .. so I was one of the little people they would interact with while at the event .. and they made me feel larger than life. Same with Pete :)
When Seles came back after the stabbing i was at Wimbledon and watched her practice on an outside court. As she came off she was of course mobbed and I was pushed right up directly behind her. I had a sports bag over my shoulder and was amazed there was no security and I could stand that close to her with a bag after what happened. Watched her play on the old court 1 which was great. Unfortunately she lost though. Great player.
Sampras = whole 1990s Agassi = late 1980s to mid-2000s Winning 60 titles, Sampras needed 10 years (1991-2000). Agassi needed near 20 years (1987-2005), spanned Lendl era and Federer era.
Yes, Sampras had a more successful run but Agassi has done far more post tennis and helped far more people. I'd argue he's the more successful at life of the two.
My favourite player in the 90s was Michael Stich. After the 1993 world championship in Frankfurt runner up Pete Sampras said, if all players played at their 100 percent highest level Stich would be the best. He had one of the most elegant backhands ever.

Out of all of the "what-if" scenarios out there in the tennis world, "What if Monica Seles had never been attacked" is one that I feel most tennis fans would agree, in that it would have drastically changed the landscape of women's tennis. Monica had Steffi Graf's number. Outside of Wimbledon, Graf couldn't beat her. She was winning titles and grand slams at a ridiculous rate. I'm not saying that Seffi wouldn't have figured out a strategy or turned the rivalry around at some point, but I don't think it would have happened right away regardless. She was only 20 when she was attacked. She won 8 grand slam titles from Roland Garros 1990 to the Australian Open in 1993. That is insane. So I'm pretty comfortable in saying that had she not been attacked, Monica would have won another 8-10 grand slam titles over the next 5 years and possibly more. But one thing is certain. Steffi wouldn't have had nearly the amount that she had when she retired.

I would expect Goran Ivanišević, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, Lindsay Davenport, and The Woodies (Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge) to be on the list as well.
Pete Sampras, for his rare tactics in so called “pressure points” served the the second serve as fast as the first serve. And humble. I have won myself a guy who won Jim Courier in Chicago Indoors, so basically I should be in this video, too. 😀
