Practically we cannot use a diode for switching a transformer or a coil, because there is no third party intervention as we have in a transistor or fet, what we call base or gate. Schottky diodes are well known for their high frequency properties, and low forward voltage drops, but that doesn't make it a transistor.

I have given only example of transistor that A /C such signal comes on its base, then it does its work accordingly . On /off open/ close manuly and Automatic mathed

Ye btayiye sir ke transistor as switch me power electronics me on condition me current collector se emmiter me flow hota hai but base current ko kyu nhi dikhate jabki current base se hoke hi pass hoti hai
