    It's amazing how much of a 'co-vocalist' Miku really is....huge part of their sound

      Not so secret weapon; Band-maid; danceable prog-rock; no one sounds like them and I love it.

      Yes, definitely! We may already say, I think, that World Domination is a fact. They get to the Top 10 with each album each time. CONQUEROR was in Top 10 on streaming platforms for a couple of days, and Unleash as well. The MV for Unleash!!!!! got a million views in one week right? And I think this American tour will boost their popularity even further.

      @@VladimirChupin One thing I noticed, until recently they got 1K new subs on YT every 4 day. Since Aftershock it's down to 1K every 3 days, let's se if that trend holds.

    Thank you for the slow pans, Vladimir. You can tell this isn't your first rodeo.
    You've seen BAND-MAID all over Europe, Japan, and now the US. How do the fan bases compare? They are playing venues twice the size and more on this tour than on previous ones. Does the bigger room sound better to you or would you prefer the LOGO? :)

    • @VladimirChupin
      @VladimirChupin  Рік тому +1

      Oh, LOGO was definitely the best. BAND-MAID is all about crowd interaction, and in small venues, interaction is more intimate, or course.
      It's interesting that the girls themselves seem not to care about the venue size at all. They feel equally comfortable in a venue for 150 people, like Shibuya Eggman or LOGO Hamburg, and in Tokyo Garden Theater, which is 8,000 people.
      I did not like my Japanese tour in 2020, to be honest. First of all, it seems to be next to impossible to get a good place near the stage. Also, the girls communicate in Japanese, and I was missing most of the fun during Omajinai Time. The OKYUJI in Nagoya Diamond Hall on January 10, 2020, was pretty good, the sound was excellent, and although I was at the very back of the hall, I had a good view of the stage because the hall has an amphitheatre configuration, i.e. the rear part is rising. But in Kobe Harbor Studio the next day everything was awful. The venue itself has a very bad configuration: it seems it used to be a warehouse or something, and there are two HUUUUGE pillars in the middle of hall. If your place is in the rear part of the hall, and a little bit to the side, you'll see only part of the stage. Even though I stood close to the centre, I could not see MISA at all, the pillar was obscuring the left part of the stage.
      So, in the end I decided that I don't want to go to Japan to attend BAND-MAID OKYUJI anymore. I was determined to attend Budokan, of course, just because it would be a unique thing. But then COVID-19 happened, and everything got cancelled. I applied for a lottery for Tokyo Garden Theater, and lost it. I tried to apply for a lottery to a couple of more of Japanese events, they announced a few specifically for the overseas O-MEI-SYU-SAMA, but it never worked for me. Just error after error after error, the l-tike system simply does not work anymore, it seems. If they announce a lottery for Yokohama, I will try to apply again, but I have little hope it will work, unless they make a completely new system for that lottery.
      So, I'm simply waiting now for the 2024 European Tour. That one I want to attend in full. Maybe I will not go to UK, it's usually very difficult to get a visa there. But inside the Schengen zone, where I can travel freely, I am determined to attend every OKYUJI.

      @VladimirChupin  Рік тому

      I just checked, and yes, there was already a lottery for Yokohama Arena, in May. That was the one where the l-tike system was giving me errors, and I was not able to complete the application. It's all very sad. I would actually love to attend this Yokohama Arena OKYUJI, it will be a great show, no doubt.

      Well, there were some women there as well. After the OKYUJI, we sat in a small cafe just across the road, with two girls. It was very interesting to talk to them about BAND-MAID and why they love them.
      But yes, mostly it's オッサン, "old men."
