There's a very good reason why the resonance pillars work. It really does not change anything for the listener, but for the player, there's a new piece that resonates right next to your ear. By changing the material, length, shape, etc. the player hears something different. This, in turn, changes the way the player perceives the sound, and ultimately, how the player responds on the instrument.
Seriously... science.
Beautiful clear and round bass trombone sound!

im 13 and have been playing trombone for three years and I'm 1st chair for my advanced band and i want to try a tenor or base trombone should i try I'm 5 foot 9 inches tall
ambroise revet how’s it going. Still playing?
what make is it???
where can i get a pillar?
You're definitely tall enough to play it (you don't really have to be tall to play the bass bone), but I wouldn't commit to buying a bass bone until you were pretty certain its what you'd like to play. Most bass trombonists don't really even start playing bass trombone until late high school. For now, just stick with a large bore tenor with an F attachment.
The trombone you are playing now should be a tenor just without a trigger I would assume. And it is all personal choice really. The main difference is with tenor you would be playing higher parts than you would on bass in the future. If you like playing low notes then maybe it could be something you would like to try in the future. For now I would stick on tenor for now so you can develop range in both directions until you really know what you want to play.
They are called F attachment tenors, not trigger.
Youre arguijg the primciple bass trombonist of the stl symphony. I think he knows
A real trombonist would not give a shit
