Chakotay with 7 is no different than chakotay with a toaster. At least Janeway is fully human. they have known each other longer than 7 has ever been on the show. J/C forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I despised the pairing of Chakotay and Seven. They had nothing in common. Chakotay and Janeway were made for each other. TPTB threw in the C/7 pairing near the end of the last season just to lift ratings. It never made any sense otherwise.
that was all Mulgrews doing. She claimed she wanted the fans to respect her as a Captain of Star Trek-not "Melrose Place ". She pissed off alot of fans anyways. The writers wanted Janeway and Chakotay to become an item-Mulgrew fought them and won. Instead they paired Chakotay with Seven which really pissed the fans off. Well at least the following Voyager books by Beyer got the Captain and Commander together as it should have always been.
beawild exactly I was never a fan of them trying to push the T/A angle on Jeri it made me dislike the character of 7 of 9 with a passion. Stuff the producers creating drama between Kate and Jeri and a toxic work environment they both deserved so much better. It resulted in a divide in the Voyager fandom turning so many people who originally adored Janeway off her from many posts I’ve read.
Oh, please, have mercy! Stop pairing the insipid Chuckle with the 2 most fantastic women of the Star Trek universe! Janeway and Seven deserve so much better than him (Picard or Paris or the Doctor or Data or Riker)
