Another Cracking Video, and a wonderful Sunday to boot. You really did have a great Sunday Pete. Depending on the weather, hope to be back across this Thursday.
I know that Sundays around Donny can usualy be good with engineering trains Pete, but with the double and triple header biomass thrown into the mix mate that footage was a bit special. Thanks for sharing and have a great week Pete, all the best, Colin.
@colingarwood9971 Cheers, Colin. Hope you are well. Yeah, it never fails on a Sunday now. It seems that it's the best day of the week by far now. Always a surprise or too. Keep safe mate
@antman09ful1 cheers Mike. We definitely do, mate. There's never a weekend that goes by when it's not like that. You'll have to have a trip up, Mike. It doesn't usually start kicking off until after 10 am.
Still never seen a 60... They either run past at half 4 in the morning or 10 o'clock at night.. Good thing I got your expert camera work to substitute....
@jake_the_train_guy I can't believe mate you've not seen one. Mind you, they are rarer than hen's teeth nowadays. Hopefully, you might drop on Jake or Trip over to Yorkshire
Watched a few of the videos from this location now & could do with a question answering. Is there a permanent speed restriction on this part of the network? Every clip I've seen at this crossing has always seemed slow.
There are signals just after the crossing that are usually at red for other moves to take place before clearing, so almost everything approaching Dock Hills is approaching at caution. It is possible to approach Moat Hills with flashing aspects to advise you the route is already set, but that’s usually just for the passenger trains, the freight are usually going to one of the nearby yards and the crossing speeds and speeds on most lines round Doncaster station are not high, 15-25mph range.
5 tugs a grid and a beastie,nice work Pete
