My god I was just thinking this. What a moneymaking scheme! That is the clearest sonographically noted inflamed appendix I have ever seen, and I perform USS for a living!
Surgery has many risks, if you do not diagnose using the tools avail like ultrasound, CT , that would be mal-practice... stomach pain can be caused by many different issues. Appendicitis is being treated with antibiotics in some instances. Surgery should be a last resort.
fr, and theres been plenty of cases where both CT scans and ultrasounds have missed appendicitis, and in some places in the US they might not do an exploratory surgery to see if it is the appendix
Oh dear, wishing you a speedy recovery. So good you could check yourself and find this out right away. Who knew appendicitis was contagious, right lol. All the best.
Mine did not require a CT and I tried to leave the hospital after they gave me morphine. I felt totally fine and felt like the bill wasn't going to worth it as a 20 year old, Insuranceless, waitress. I'm glad they made me stay and the hospital had a program that ended up covering most of my bill.
I had that to. my appendix happened to burst at night after me and my mom went to the ER that day then the next day it burst and then I got surgery but now I am fully recovered but it still kinda hurts but not that bad .
Can someone help me out? I’m 14 and I had minor sharp pains that come randomly in my uterus area and lower abdomen and I’m not sure if it’s gas or apendicitus. I know nausea is a symptom but I get that all the time from anxiety so I’m not sure. My parents don’t think it’s a big deal but I’m so scared.
@JTrader.....The Appendix is in the right lower. He pointed to the left but said the Camera flipped the image. Still go to your doctor and get checked out.
@jtrader9946 could be diverticulitis. If you lay down and press on it does it hurt? If so, you could have diverticulitis. They usually do a CT scan to confirm it and give you antibiotics bc the infection could kill you.
I’m guessing those first pics are from a ultrasound, and damn… you are one brave soul. When I had appendicitis I just told the nurse my story and they got me right to the CT scan because of how reoccurring my story was in cases of appendicitis. I can’t imagine the pain of being pushed with a hard plastic thing right on the inflamed appendix. Must have hurt like hell. I know I’m late so I hope you had a good recovery, and I’d be glad to see how your doing now.
Yep,i too have appendicitis a few weeks from now ,i got surgery,im still in grade 5 ... Im now almost 11 im terrified for my life, and yes one of the symptoms are pain in your lower right belly my symptom is that.i was diagnosed with appendicitis at 1 January 2024 exactly at new years day.probably the worst day of my life ngl
Do you have to pay for that scan like we do? I mean if if that’s easy to give away why not scan everyone fir free. If this is the case of course. How much did you pay if not ?
@@laddubasandrai7300 In prep for my Annual Physical, I palpitated the area to see if pain increased, knowing my doctor would be doing the same the following day (the rebound pain or lack thereof is one diagnostic, how it reacts when pressed on). Well oddly after a massage for a few mins, the pain went down dramatically and stayed down. The next day I still went ahead through the doc exam and as a precaution went with a CT since it was only one day with less pain. 10 days later the CT showed all organs including appendix was normal size/condition. I only rarely I feel a slight pain in the area. My only guess why was maybe a fecalith was moved out of the way and it could empty again normally. My doc didn't acknowledge that idea except to say later that I should go in to medicine. I learned from YT Dr. vids that the appendix may hold bacteria to repopulate the gut if needed but if blocked it can't flow out normally. I now occasionally massage that area since my hip muscles are often very sore there. My doc says it will be excruciating if the appendix bursts so I would know if that ever happens. As always take a doctors advice on any medical issue. Hope this helps.
Weird that an appendicitis that is clear as day still needs to be confirmed by Ct in the us

At least his ultrasound was probably a freebie.

Literally one of the cutest appies ever!
Oh wow wishing you a speedy recovery 💐
Yep. I diagnosed my own appendicitis myself on my GE9 in 2015. Could see the fecolith stuck in the meso. The surgeon still wanted a CT to confirm.
Wouldn't want to take out an organ that has no clear purpose for no reason lol
I wish you a speedy recovery 🙏

I also had appendix surgery like 2 weeks ago and doctors said i only have 5% chance to survive now i am fully recovered
Omg did it rupture?
you have a 99.9% chance of living with it unless it ruptures

I been having pains on my left and nausea, im wondering if i have the same thing. Waiting on my insurance because currently i am uninsured
@JTrader.....The Appendix is in the right lower. He pointed to the left but said the Camera flipped the image. Still go to your doctor and get checked out.
If you are a girl then it's your left ovary
Won't be appendix on the left
Hopefully it’s not, you would def know if u had it lol u can’t move :) (also it’s on right hand sight)

What about the right? If you feel the same thing or similar. I appreciate it.

Why if they didn’t have a doubt about it were you exposed to radiation
Unfortunately there’s still many surgeons that will not operate without CT confirmation.
@@SonographicTendencies Did you get contrast dye with your CT?
I’ve got weird pain lower right abdomen every 40 mins or so not severe just feels like a stabbing then it’s gone and moves to my back unsure
Any updates? I been having the same thing no other symptoms. Sharp pain and then gone. Happens to me for over 1 month.
