I have a new story character story for you Arpy. I hope it's worth your time. Renato Healy was born to a Shifter Father and a Goliath mother. His father was a very successful traveling merchant that was a very charming person. When he and the daughter of a beloved Goliath chieftain locked eyes they clicked romantically. Not long afterwards Renato was born. His earliest memories were of traveling with his parents. His fathers colorful stories and his mother's tough lessons on how to use a sword. She was formidable warrior. Then they came to the bustling merchant city of Florentia well known for it's Woolen goods and many intersecting trade routes where people often came and went. They were their to visit Renato's uncle. Unfortunately fate took a cruel hand when Renato's parents crossed and angered "The Merchant of Florentia" Francesco De Patzi who was known as "The Merchant of Death" and was also known for having a corrupt strangle hold on just about anything in the city. It seemed Renato's parents helped some of the Patzi's victims escape the city. The Patzi found out. Invited Renato's parents to a nice dinner where they were poisoned and killed in front of him and Francesco De Patzi. Renato was somehow not poisoned and managed to make a run for it. Eventually he found his Uncle Clarence who was horrified by what happened and agreed to take the boy in. Uncle Clarence was no friend of the Patzi. He was the leader of a Thieves Guild dubbed "The Twilight Brigade" for their ability to steal from the rich n corrupt in the dead of night and get away with it. They often helped the poor n destitute so they were seen as thieves with hearts of gold. In this environment Renato would grow up and become a highly skilled Thief n Fighter. He would be known as "The Twilight Bandit" for having lead many a raiding party on many a corrupt rich person and official. He would also become known as a Gentlemen thief. Renato and the Twilight Brigade would cause the Patzi no small number of headaches n heart breaks over the years. Then one day things changed. Renato was asked by his uncle to abduct the fiancé of Francisco De Patzi's only son Vieri who went by the name Kaylee and was a very important executive in the families company. He wanted to extract some information from her. Renato in his normal gentleman thief disguise infiltrated where Kaylee was staying only to fall into a trap orchestrated by Kaylee herself. Kaylee when Renato saw her was a beautiful Half-Dark Elf woman of exquisite taste. And when they both locked eyes something romantic seemed to click between them. But then Renato took a hilarious spill that caused Kaylee to briefly chuckle before ordering the guards to get him. Renato threw down a smoke bomb and managed to grab Kaylee. But as he did so he noticed a sly grin on her face before knocking her out. It puzzled Renato. But he carried out his orders took the unconscious woman back to the hideout. In no time the information Uncle Clarence wanted was gotten out from her. But something didn't sit right with Renato. He confronted his uncle about his suspicions and he bravely admitted in private that Kaylee was a spy for the Brigade and had been sending them information for quite awhile. Renato wasn't quite buying it. He went to where the woman Kaylee was being kept. Questioned her. And during all of this she said "My real name is Illythra Hawthorn and I know what it's like to lose your parents to treachery, for it happened to me. And I belong to a group of people that want to see the Patzi taken down as badly as you do." This was a very brave act on her part and Renato took it in the spirit it was intended. But he didn't have time to mull it over for the Patzi's guards n retainers found the hideout and attacked it. The Brigade's numbers were scattered. With some members captured. Including Uncle Clarence. And Renato in hiding noticed Illythra so-called being rescued by her fiancé Vieri. He could tell that she was putting on a very convincing act. Renato and what was left of the Brigade gathered together as a secondary location in the city and tried to plan what was coming next. It would take awhile for their numbers to be recovered. They learned quickly that Uncle Clarence would be executed soon and Vieri and his fiancé would be married on the same day. It made them feel sad n angry. Also a message was received from Illythra detailing a plan to save Uncle Clarence and get the Patzi. Renato was quite sure Illythra was up to something. But he went with it. He seemed to have some faith in her. What was left of the Twilight Brigade would save Uncle Clarence from death. While Renato would go into the church where the wedding ceremony was taking place and find a lever at the top of the church and pull it when Illythra herself gave out a loud shout. So they all broke up. The Brigade members would eventually manage to rescue their leader from his execution. And Renato stole his way into the church. He went to the top where the lever indicated was found and waited for the signal as the wedding ceremony was taking place. Illythra came into the ceremony looking beautiful. Got to the alter where the priest started the ceremony. But Illythra interrupted it when she said "I Will Not Take This Man As My Husband." Then she took out a dagger and swiftly plunged it into Vieri's heart killing him instantly. Illythra stating that she despised the Patzi while doing it. And then she let out a lout shout with one word "Now." Renato pulled the lever and all the doors to the church suddenly shut tight. With a trap door opening and shutting quickly to save the priest and Francesco De Patzi. Everyone in the church was an evil n corrupt person that worked with the Patzi. Except for the priest who was saved. And Francesco himself was saved from that as Renato found out later because Illythra wanted to give him a chance to avenge himself on the man. Illthra then took out a syringe and injected it's liquid into her thigh and this caused her to temporarily enhance her shifter abilities and she transformed into a huge monster and promptly began slaughtering all the evil people in the church. As for Renato himself he confronted Francesco told him his real name and then demanded Francesco's face that he fight him or die. The latter drew his sword and they dueled. Renato was eventually victorious and killed his parent's killer. He would go back inside the church find that a terribly massacre had occurred. And Illythra leaned against a wall naked n covered with blood up to her neck. She looked exhausted with a distant look on her face. Renato got her out of their. He eventually found a room at an Inn for the night and drew Illythra a bath and had to help clean the blood off of her since she was so exhausted. They talked awhile this happened. She thanked him for his help. And told him that her own parents killers had been furnished with weapons that the Patzi had provided to explain part of her motive. Illythra also told him about the Shadow Sirens and their mission to kill off all evil n corrupt nobles n monarchs and she asked Renato to join them. He then asked her how she felt about him. All of this while the moon shone fully through a window and lots of candle light was in the room. She admitted honestly that she had feelings for Renato and wouldn't mind exploring them further. Renato signaled that he was of the same mind. They kissed. After that the evil that was the Patzi was cut out of Florentia. The Twilight Brigade was reconstituted. And a nasty legend went around of an terrible monster that would devour the evil n wicked if they don't behave meant to scare children. As for Renato n Illythra. They worked together for a longtime. Eventually they married in a normal wedding ceremony. And that's the story.

Got it. I'm still deciding just how to handle these longer character stories, but look for something soon!
