IRyS deserves this after everything shes been through, she debuted alone then dealt with the whole defuncted vsinger thing. I was so happy when Council rebranded themselves as Promise and included her.
Agreed. It's been mentioned before that she initially felt pretty isolated & lonely...
When Council unofficially rebranded themselves as CouncilRyS after "adopting" her, my already high opinions of them skyrocketed for their considering her as a group mate. Then of course Cover officially combined Project Hope & Council to give us Promise, making it 100% official; & giving her the group she deserved.
She's been an absolute treasure from day one. Sweet, angelic, chaotic & yabai; & always incredibly sincere, hardworking, & hugely entertaining. She really does deserve all the success in the world, & every single subscriber made absolutely a good decision by deciding to follow our favourite seisont nephilim 😊
If you were following her since her covers and vtuber start in her Past Life you will also see how hard it was for her gain the traction she has now after her iconic cover. She was basically the same person but much tamer but once she joined holo is when she was able to shine her true colors she does now 😅
Yes, considering her 900K stream was over 14 months ago…. With no more momentum left from her debut and being groupless, the rest of council would have surpassed her, as she was steadily becoming lost to the side lines and was about to start going negative.
Also, before today, she had one of the lowest ‘monetary’ subscriber counts in all of hololive too, so I’m glad for the big turn around. It was also nice to see so many of her fellow JP members willing to help her as well.

I’m surprised it took 3 years to get to 1mil. But tilt just shows how much work Irys has put in these past 3 years. She really is Hope.
She had a lot of stumbles in her career that weren't her fault such as the solo debut as part of an abandoned project, and after monstrous growth in her first six months she had then serious issues growing at times. Even recently, she gained a ton of momentum coming off of Summer Fest only to get sick for a month. And then she finally got another burst of growth with her vertical streaming over the past two weeks or so to end up hitting this huge milestone right on her birthday. Kind of a fairy tale moment.

i got into hololive a couple months after myth got started, so irys was the first en debut i saw in real time. it's been amazing to watch the whole time and she is one of my oshis
It took both IRyS and Mumei about a little less time than it took the JP branch to hit this massive benchmark, soon all of Council/Promis will also cross this benchmark hopefully all within this year, so glad for IRyS she deserves it! 💖💖💖💖💖

she is such a sweet girl and i have a ton of love for her and have since the beginning. it was totally worth waking up early for that karaoke and it was so emotional to be there in that moment. i have the feeling i will also cry for the birthday live in a few hours from now.
