@@luvs4kat welp that sucks lol nah I could never marry a man who comes to me after my sister rejected him lol ( it was her sister he loved right? It's been awhile)
Florence and Timothee's chemistry is amazing in this scene, and Florence has become my favourite Amy actress ever. Her Oscar Nod was definitely well deserved!💞
The drawing always catches my attention because its because of it Laurie figures Amy always loved him so he can propose to her several years after that. He realizes although the day at the beach was the day Amy met her to-be-fiancé, she decided to do a drawing of Teddy, not Fred. Her attention was directed to him, all along, but he was too busy to notice that.
It took me so long to get on board with this relationship. Mainly because the first half of the movie, I spent it cheering for him and Jo. I can see though how she’s better suited for him.
At first I thought "yess". Then I remembered how adorable Kirsten Dunst was in the role. But yeah, noone's done adult Amy better than Flo and Greta (acting and writing).
I got the feeling he always liked Jo better. I even got the feeling that he was disappointed/jealous when he met Friedrich Bhaer. So... Yes, I think Amy was his second option, it is debatable but I see it like this. (and it hurts me honestly-)
Didnt like her in the movie. Literally in this scene I was like “since when?!??!!” It doesnt look like it and I was still annoyed on how she threw away her sister’s story into the fire just bcos she wasnt invited to the party like 🙄🙄🤨
The actress was terrible in it. She looked way older than the guy. And she always looked miserable. She didn't even look like she loved him. Timothee did a great job though I loved the older version.
I love how even though she loved him for so long and wanted to hear him say that, she refused to settle for being his second best option.
And yet she still married him tssk

@@PANDA1000RUL3 Yes, he loved her sister first and I think he also proposed to her too but she rejected him.
@@luvs4kat Yeah, I know but in this scene she didn't. Lol.
@@CoCo-eu1hg I know. I’m saying that she said what she said but still ended up marrying him after like …
Jo rejected Laurie because she didn't love him
Amy rejected Laurie in spite of loving him
And they were both entirely justified.
Florence Pugh single handedly making Amy the heroine

It takes a very special type of actress to bring Greta Gerwig’s words to life, Flo is just so stunning from the inside out!

The best scene... I can watch it over and over again!
saiorse and florence are hands down the best actresses in this gen imo
Flo made Amy likeable for the first time ever. 💜
It’s not only Flo, it’s the way Greta wrote her
At first I thought "yess". Then I remembered how adorable Kirsten Dunst was in the role. But yeah, noone's done adult Amy better than Flo and Greta (acting and writing).
Florence is a perfect Amy, 🥰
Amy: "I won't, I won't do it."
Narrator: "She would, in fact, do it."
In two separate movies.
Paul Atreides and Princess Irulan
Dune Messiah has entered the chat.
She reminds me of Kate Winslet in Sense and Sensibility.
To think that this is their first ever scene acting together 😮
Florence Pugh - as Yelena - is the best character ever EVER EEEEEVVVVVER.....
This movie did my head in
First Timothee and now with Harry Styles... Shes Lucky.
She certainly has a deep voice.
Is that a bad thing?
@@maurice8180 It depends i guess 🤔
@@maurice8180 no I find it relaxing
Some of us do lol
She has a beautiful voice. It’s pleasant to listen to. Rich.
I personally couldn’t be someone’s second choice. Especially when her sister rejected him and NOW he wants to be with me. Nope nope nope
Interesting to know paul and princess irulan have met before lmao
How did the get from here to Dune? 😅
When Denis Villeneuve watched this movie and thought 🤔
Atraides ancestor.
The WASPy Hills.
did he really love her?

@guidaidante8711 nah atleast in this film I felt like he wasn't really jealous of Fredrich but js overprotective
he did love Amy smh
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😊😊😊
Laurie wanted to settle for Amy because Jo didn’t want him and Amy settled for Fred because Laurie didn’t want her
but laurie didnt settle for amy. he fell in love with amy
Agr
The original movie is 100 times better.
I couldn’t agree more!
Which one is the original again?
@@NEsfrianti the one with Winona and Kirsten Dunst.
@@toxicdswii What are you talking about? The first movie was in 1917. Even the first talking one wasn't until the 30's.
@@toxicdswii that is not the original, *facepalm*
I did not like Timothy in this role- looks too young
They’re supposed to be young ,teenagers

She was like 12 when she threw the book in the fire. I don't think you get Amy. She turned out to be the best character in the film

Amy was definitely not the best character sorry. Not for me.
