Imagine you have the person in your life, that you care about, like care a lot. You grew up together, you adore him, you love him (in brotherly-way or not-so-brotherly way, doesn`t matter). And you see him speak to other people, all laughing and joking. Normal. But every single time he speaks to you, he is grumpy, and cruel, and you get only «leave me alone» and «go back to our shared adoptive father if you love him so much». And when you asking why tf he bring it up, his answer is «It`s makes me happy». And even on your shared birthday he ditches you and birthday party for you both, because «he`s busy». For four years straight.
Yeah, I feel sorry for Eddie, too. But with Chen Yi it breaks my heart.

I think both boys have got to be honest with each other about how they feel. It is definitely difficult but very necessary. You would think that having grow up together, they would be more comfortable with expressing themselves to each other. But that is not the case 😭 Eddie thinks that Chenyi can’t read him - in that Chenyi can’t see the feelings Eddie have for him. While Chenyi thinks that Eddie doesn’t understand the concern and care he has for him, and just constantly swipe him away. What is left unspoken between the two is truly the angst of this pairing.
