Well done as you say a big guy for running, running was my thing 40 years ago PB 10K 36 minutes, was better on the bike but preferred running keep it up no pain no gain
That 'fitness' chart from strava is misleading and does not measure fitness in the sense that you think. It measures training load and time in zone. To prove my point, many times that chart will dip while my absolute power and average power on the bike are improving. In that sense, my fitness is improving but strava says otherwise. Good result regardless. No way I could do that time 😄
13:29 I don´t think that the course is longer than 10k. The difference is due to gps-inaccuracy of your watch (you can apply a correction factor to your watch for this) and you always run some extra meters due to zigzagging, not taking optimal corners etc.
Maybe, but then he's also comparing against another time taken from his GPS watch. So even though conditions can impact GPS accuracy, it was still measured the same way. And therefore he did improve slightly.
@@vladfromfrance Sure. He did improve, compared to the earlier run. But during the race he didn´t run further than 10k. His earlier training run must have been shorter than 10k.
Great effort! These videos are surprisingly keeping me accountable to my weight loss / fitness journey
Amazing achievement Jarrod. You're a beast! 💪
